Wait let me really undertand something about this Edo central agenda and how Akpata became LP candidate in the election.

1. Was there a more qualified Edo central candidate that was more qualified than Akpata at the LP primaries?

2. Does Peter Obi has the power as a presidential candidate of LP to determine who becomes LP gubernatorial candidate in Edo state?

3. Do u think Obi imposing a candidate other than Akpata would've changed the outcome of the election when we all agreed PDP and APC both paid respective voters willing to vote for them?

4. Do u think whoever Obi had endorsed other than Akpata would've gone gone bar for bar, aura for aura, violence for violence and bribe for bribe vs PDAPC?

In summary, he is saying Obi should have joined the Obidients for Asue movement.

The same person that said he primarily supports Akpata, is the same person faulting Obi for supporting Akpata

I can be confused, but i don't even know what to call this one.

Thank you. At least we agree on one thing today. Which type of footprint do you want to see? Like they should start acting like incompetent American citizens who're minding their business??

Somewhere in 2017, Trump threatened to impose sanctions on any country doing any type of transactions with DPRK.

If Gaddafi had such foresight, build up the Libyan defense industry. He wouldn't have been murdered in the market Square which turned Libya to a sh!thole country ravaged by insecurity.

Gaddafi had it coming. He ruled for 32 years, it's only normal that his citizens who feel disgruntled with his dictatorship rule over the years will rebel against him. The unemployment rate was at 30% when the Arab spring wind blew across Libya and claimed his life.

No amount of investment in defence industry will save u from that.

Blueraydick have you started industry
In ep 1 the guy's death reminded me of a story I read in LinkedIn
An Indian girl died while working with EY and the mother was dragging and blaming them for her death saying her hardworking daughter was under serious pressure that she doesn't sleep or rest
Some other Indian influencers milk the story too

The series is nice sha I never thought I will enjoy it but since I know it's HBO, nudity go they 😂😂
But it's actually educating especially the finance industry
The key actor(harper) is a doppelganger of a former colleague the resemblance is fvcking much just that she's still in 9ja

I started the show over the weekend and I'm enjoying it already. It reminded me of a friend who had a toxic boss that almost frustrated his life because that my friend no too get power to deal with that much emotional stress. I keep reassuring him things will get better and advising him on what and what to do to ease the pressure. He got lucky the boss got promoted and transferred to another arm of the company. My friend who almost resigned out of frustration later enjoyed his stay in the company with juicy benefits .

I also read the story about the EY lady and it is quite sad. Even people working with the big 4 in Nigeria attested to the fact that the job robs people of their social life and can be so demanding. I felt the mother's pain in that letter to the chairman of EY in India.

The good thing about that mother's letter is that EY and the rest of the big 4's will look inward and come up with measures to make their work environment less toxic for their employees.

Kwankwanso is a wrong example in this case. Kwankwanso was NNPP presidential candidate in 2023 general elections and that rubbed off on NNPC's gubernatorial candidate. You can say same happened for Obi & Oti in Abia state.

This is an off cycle election; things are not the same.

I would welcome ur suggestion for a more suitable candidate in LP from Edo Central.

But when it comes to LP, Obi should consult Ifa, check for birth certificates, conduct primaries, and ensure Edo Central wins.

This election wasn't there for the taking.
I think you underestimate the way people think in governorship elections.
The level of vote selling that occurred in this election also was crazy.
Obi is the only politician right now that people can vote for him freely and it's because he has had to build that profile for atleast 2 decades.
The reason Otti won was because Abia had suffered 23yrs under one party and even that was a hard fought victory for Otti.
Sometimes you have to realise Nigerians don't think beyond their stomach and ego even though they have brains.

People will have to decide the choice for governors is almost as important as the choice for president. Then they'll start taking it very serious.
Till then, even if Obi does aggressive campaigns, come election day, those guys will sell their votes.
The only thing that can help them is if governorship and presidential is the same day and even that isn't guaranteed to change things 😂.

Kwankwanso wey do am for Kano no get two heads abeg,He and NNPP had more reasons to lose kano than Lp losing edo state....

In 2016, towards the end of his presidency, Obama admitted during an interview that interfering in Libya was the worst mistake of his administration, and if he could go back in time he'd have done things differently.

As a Nigerian, the fall of Benghazi (Libya's military capital and armoury) heralded the complete militarization of West Africa and the destabilization of Nigeria.
Pre-2010 (before the Arab Spring which also incurred into North Africa), Boko Haram was no more than a ragtag group of disgruntled religious fanatics. Libya fell as Obama armed the rebels and the stockpile of weapons filtered down South.

Today, the whole of West Africa is battling with terrorism - Nigeria, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Chad... Boko Haram splintered into ISWAP, and grey areas with Herdsmen. Today they are top 7 deadliest terrorist groups in the world.

My dislike for America's Left began thus. Dislike for Obama, Hillary, and Biden... It stems from a chain of events resulting into my country becoming a haven of bombs going off everyday and people being slaughtered for the flimsiest reasons. I do not hide my dislike for Obama for this reason, including on the wider internet

Please, sir, don't try to excuse away what happened to Gaddafi. If he hadn't fall, West Africa and Nigeria would have been better off security-wise. And that in turn would have not affected our socioeconomics like it's doing today.
Obama realized this and stopped trying to topple Assad of Syria.

Gaddafi's death was orchestrated by outside forces. This much is public knowledge. Now I have to deadened my empathy so I can function well enough every time I read of entire communities being slaughtered in Borno State by Boko Haram and ISWAP.

Don't defend Gaddafi's killing, sir.

Cameroun nationals are docile and that's the only reason why a 91 year old that is almost shitting himself is still their president in 2024. The Libyans are obviously not as docile as that.

It can be argued that the Americans interfered in Libya's internal affairs but a man who has ruled for 32 years with unemployment rate at 30% definitely didn't do himself any favors either
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ibime(m): 11:23am On Sep 23
Gaddafi was on borrowed time since blowing up a plane of American and UK citizens over Lockerbie. They were always going to come for him once the opportunity presented itself.

Taking him out was a mistake though and caused security issues in the Sahel. For that you will equally have to blame Qatar and the Arab league who armed the militants and requested the no fly zone from the UN. Qatar literally funded the whole revolution and bought all the arms. West always take the blame even when invited in by the stakeholders.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 11:26am On Sep 23
In the lead-up to the 2023 elections, people asked Frank Edoho and Mark Essien on Twitter and Facebook respectively to run for office because they are "intelligent young people with brilliant ideas". Both replied (and I paraphrase their replies):

" No. See what you people did to Banky W who is also intelligent, young and different. You want to disgrace me. You will leave me hanging at the polls and not stand by your words."

Olumide Akpata, the best and most forward-thinking candidate on the ballot on Saturday with the least baggage and who was most likely to play by the book, learnt this lesson the hard way. Another reference point for Messrs Edoho and Essien defending not foraying into elective politics.

You humiliated one of the brightest minds in the country last Saturday for #5,000/#10,000 and measures of rice because he couldn't match the pockets of those who looted our common patrimony.

I am not excusing Gaddafi's killing and I wish to maintain my stand that Gadaffi had it coming.

Since I was much younger I have been following the events in Libya long before the Arab spring ever happened. I remember during Obasanjo's tenure when some Nigerians were deported from Libya. My dad's work place was within the Murtala Muhammed airport, Lagos.

We heard firsthand news about situation of things in Libya from the deported Nigerians back then. Some of them narrated how strict the kind of dictatorship Gaddafi ran in Libya. As muslims, immidiately after Solat prayers end u are expected to leave the mosque within the next minutes. No form of gathering is allowed, if u decided to stay behind to do personal prayers u would be arrested by Gaddafi soldiers enforcing the law. They believe any form of gathering means u want to scheme to overthrow Gaddafi. Yes, he was that insecure amongst his own people. There was serious human right abuse and so many people locked up in jail for misdemeanors that do not even exist in a free society.

The Arab spring happened in Tunisia, Gaddafi would not keep his mouth shut and the people he has oppressed for years joined hands with Western powers to topple him.

As much as the West had a hand in his overthrow and eventual death, Gaddafi himself was the architect of his demise.

I'm a labour party member, I hope and pray we have a new national leader in 2027.

When I complain about Peter Obi, my disappointment comes from a place of someone who had soo much high hopes in the man and believed in him. His cowardice and weakness is killing any chance of changing the status quo in this country.
Obi has failed us and the labor party needs a new leader.

- What would you have Obi do? Pay thugs to match the thuggery?
- Lead a protest which would always take on a tribal hue?
- Ask the youth to take their country back through a revolution which would be interpreted as regime toppling and treason?
- Bribe the downtrodden to free themselves of their chains?
- Appoint State Electoral Commission and INEC members?
- Forcefully resign Appeal and Supreme Court judges?
- What would he do without actual elective power?
- Same country where a sitting Governor of Rivers State is being threatened by those close to the Presidency and nothing is happening?
- Where same Governor has been emasculated because he knows higher powers have overrun the architecture of the state he purportedly governs?

Didn't Atiku who is supposedly not a coward protest? What did it amount to?

My own vote for Obi hasn't counted till date. My lady's didn't too. We voted and he won our pulling units but only the returning officers' signatures were uploaded to the IREV.
What exactly could Obi have done to convince a people who ensured the brightest candidate on the ballot two days ago lost his freaking polling unit in exchange for peanuts from candidates with lesser integrity?

Pray tell, what should Obi do specifically?

Check well, their problem started when Gaddafi tried to assassinate Saudi King, then insulted him at Arab league. Anything Qatar and UAE do is on behalf on Saudi.

You think you will attempt to assassinate their King, commit the largest terrorist attack on UK soil by blowing up a plane with 200+ people, and clock won't tick on you one day? Gaddafi had it coming hundred percent. You can bemoan the aftereffects of taking out Gaddafi but he was no different from any terrorist on hitlist, they would take him out eventually.
