Hi, I live & work in the UK. I want to invite my mum & will be the sole sponsor of the trip, do I need to include her account statement in the application? She doesn’t work & only receives pension as she’s retired.

Include her 6 months statement.

Thes guys here are causing worries.

2 months ago, I fixed ₦8m with a bank, for trip to UK..

It would mature on 31st October and I'm submitting application in November, 2024.

Judging by the fear here, I should not bother attaching it as proof of fund even there's a certificate from the bank?

I suggest you add it as proof of funds. I insist it is acceptable because I have used it several times. I have used Money Market Fund, Bonds, Fixed Deposit and Treasury Bills as proof of Funds for several visas apart from the UK. No right thinking person should expect you to just leave your savings in an account that will not yield any serious interest for you.

Greetings to all the brains behind this page. I just discovered that I made a mistake on my name on the already submitted application. Edurance instead of Endurance. Please how do I go about correcting it? My biometrics date is on the 26th of September . Thanks

Hello house,

Trust we are all doing fine.

So I applied for a visa and my capture date was on the 7th of August. I got feedback on the 27th of August that my entry has been denied.

However, the tracker hasn't moved to the next stage for me to pick up my passport. I called them and they said I'll have to wait till I get an email. I also emailed them last week checking in on the status of my passport.

Any tips or help will be appreciated on this as I have some things coming up.

"8:20 am, 9:20 am, 10:20 am, 11:20 am, 12:20 pm and 1:20 pm, appointment hours are reserved for Super Priority Visa applications."
Please help. The TLS page for picking an appointment states this, but there are no other non prime time or premium lounge only time slots available under self service. Please what is the best way to go around this without paying any extra money?

Thank you @Ashirioluwa.
What we did was walk to VFS and stated our case. And they collected the passport from us and gave us a copy of the biodata page, photocopied, stamped and signed and promised to call us as soon as the error is sorted.
Thanks to @Cashmaddam and others who provided us with feedbacks.

Outright purchase is better if you can. It will give you peace of mind, and the possibility of repo is zero percent.

Would be hard to get finance.. if with a poor credit history and if on visa, your salary monthly is low, provisional licence or intl driver’s licence etc
May factors come into play

Good day everyone.

Please, does UKVI accept bank statements from Nigerian digital banks, such as Opay?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Derio253: 1:07pm On Sep 24
I was left with no option than to pay for the prime time service to secure an appointment date since the self service option seems suspended. I've tried for days.

Now my confusion is that I wasn't sent any appointment confirmation email like it was stated but my page has the appointment time and date.

Also, I wasn't sent any payment confirmation email as it was stated. I understand they require copies of these emails during the appointment.

Lastly, though I was compelled to go for the prime service option due to the unavailability of dates for the self service as stated above, I will still love to upload my documents myself but I see no space to do this. Not even my passport data page or pof.

Please, am I in order. If no, what can I do?

I will appreciate your response on these please.

Lol tell me you joking 😂😂😂😂

Opay is a mobile payment service bro.

All of these people abroad don’t want to deal with anything that ain’t official like commercial banks.

Please start using a verified commercial bank for UK dealings.

You can use your Opay but use it for little day to day transactions not embassy stuffs.

Hi guys, good evening.

Did my biometrics 6th September and I've got no updates as at today. Should I be worried?

Quick update:

Unfortunately, I already applied through my company's visa agency company before I stumbled on this page.

I'm a first time traveler with no previous Visa nor visa denials, unmarried and earns circa 1.6m monthly.

Purpose of travel is for a one week executive course in a tier 1 business school in London. Company paid tuition 7.5k and will handle all expense.

Attached the company's statement (above 1b)
My salary statement (had balance of about 5.3m; didnt include otther bank statement with a few funds angry)
Visa letter from school confirming 7.5k GBP payment and that i owe them nothing plus some other documents.
I Stated I'd be spending 2.3
Also stated company will fund 2.3k (I genuinely assumed the personal spend was based on what the company will fund, realised I was wrong after going through this thread).

In summary, just want to know my chance while I await the good/bad news cheesy.

Quite sad I got her late.
Please pardon the typos.
Thanks
