Their target price is taking into account the current os. But what they want to do is essentially a reverse stock split

Except the proposed consolidation ratio has changed, I don't see Cardinal Stone achieving that feat. Proposed ratio is currently 1 to 4. Pre-consolidation, at N40/share that would be a MCAP of N1.624T with a H2 EPS of N1.74? So results won't be the driver.

Very unlikely in my opinion except there is significant news incoming that can drive the price. If there was, they wouldn't need to task Cardinal stone with that?

They should sell it and buy MH oando?

You can see the response of those in fidelity. They did not cry foul when they heard sell say the same sell for oando and all its marketers will start crying, attacking, cursing etc. Buy good fundamentally sound stocks and you won't feel bad anytime your love stock is talked about against your expectations

I guess many folks here are better investing than trading.....
Newbies especially, understand what you're buying into and the reasons for buying and don't let anyone be using you to cash out in this market.

Someone mentioned "get ready", get ready for what?
I don't think this platform was created for such suspense or fence sitting......
If you don't want to share, better to keep the info than posting half sentence.

Also, if you're in a fundamentally sound stock, why panicking?
More reason it's better to enter stocks at bargain/low prices, than jumping upandan when you picked high.
Once again, if you understand what you picked and the reasons for doing so, you'll do better in sifting info.

Did you not know the Audited 2023 results, Q1 and Q2 2024 are due on or b4 Monday 30/09? At least that was the guidance Oando management gave the market.

#Moment of truth

I can only place some level of certainty on the Audited 2023 results.
As for Q1 & Q2 2024 results, I can only wait and see if Oando would truly deliver and keep to their promise. Unfortunately, any attempt to delay the H1 2024 results will have negative effect on the share price.

Fidelity and FCMB are tier 2
Well, I think it depends on the Metric used..
So we can be both right and wrong..

They both have the highest type of Banking license issued by CBN.(international Licence)

Their Cash Adequacy Ratio and other requirements, CRR are same standard as the FUGAZ..

they are both required to meet up with the ₦500bn Capital base requirements as the Tier 1.

They are also subjected to International Monetary rules of CBN as per having a foreign base.

But in terms of performance, Retained Earnings, Systemic importance for the Nation, Capacity of Loan disbursement to Big manufacturers, No of foreign presence n remittances, customer base, brand, etc..
They are probably in Tier 2 as you stated.

Tier 1 bank is one whose core capital includes disclosed reserves that appear on its financial statements and equity capital. The funds are put to function regularly and form the financial institution’s strength.

In Nigeria, Tier 1 banks are the fulcrum of its finance and economic system. They are referred to as the “too big to fail” banks because of their importance to the economy

So when people sell to a willing buyer it's termed dumping.

An healthy market is where there is buyer and sellers because everyone placed different value on their assets na.
You only see healthy market with only buyer?

Looks like dumping because my bid of a couple of hundred thousand was filled in one go fiam without breaking it into smaller pieces. It may also be that one is just lucky a big sale is ongoing. And once it's finished, it's finished.

There won't be a dramatic difference (no improvement for sure) between what was reported in Unaudited and Audited 2023 results. So nothing to look forward to in that result.
I expect Oando to release the Q1 and Q2 results shortly after the Audited results. These results will be used to guage the outlook for the rest of the year including the current acquisition. In my opinion, Oando will not release the Audited in isolation as there will not be much to celebrate in it. Q1 and Q2 are unaudited and would have been prepared as soon as the board approved the Audited results late August or early September according to their guidance.
