What’s this I am hearing in the media that Premier League clubs are reporting Arsenal for involving the dark arts in their games of last season.

Nothing go make me laugh as to when I see say Burnley, West Ham and Chelsea Dey among the teams wey Dey complain.😂🤣

Apparently, them wanted us to knack them more akpako after the thrashing we gave them.

Honestly, I really don’t get all these complaints about our games off late. Tottenham lost 4-1 last season when they were a man down and a lot of people called their coach foolish for still playing high line despite being a man (or 2 down, I can’t remember).

Now, same people are complaining because we decided to be objective and pragmatic.

My point is, our haters are getting rattled left right and center, all though there are few objective people who keep their bias aside and see that Arsenal is one of the strongest team in the premier league at the moment.

We are no longer pussies any more and that threatens a lot of people. Period.

We were criticised
City celebrated draw against 10 man arsenal everyone is happy
This thing they confuse me

The truth is that, anything that involves Arsenal, everyone is against us. They don’t want us to win.

Having haters is real my bro.

Lol. Why not win something and let your trophies do the magic. You think anybody is afraid of arsenal? I will come back and ask you this same question come May.

We surely will see new faces for our efl game.

Imagine man shitty complaining to thr same unbiased pgmol about arsenal dark arts.

Please show them the corner goal against arsenal when Bernd Leno was keeper, they literally held him with two hands backwards to stop Leno from jumping. That ended our Europa dream

Arsenal just formed a little line on one
Side of the keeper without impeding him ..the side where our header will be moving towards
I remember Crystal Palace goal we scored that they disallowed only to come back to apologize ....that was the game that sack Unai Emery...cos we dropped to fifth rather than get fourth.

The funny thing is all we need to do.is to invent the same wall their player close to the keeper so that it will give almost the same effect.

They should go and sit down. As them no see Ben White to hold and G.Xhaka to card again they are looking for issues.
Kovavic that was suppose to get a red card for a studs challenge on Odegard and then rice did not even receive a caution through out.

Newcastle goal against arsenal stood despite the foul.
Pgmol should go.and sit down. They put a ref from greater Manchester to ref our game against Manchester team.

4games against strong team in 5 games already. We move.

Pray tell, how does clinicality work when it is a key metric of strikers and lethal forwards across the last 3 decades? It doesn't matter but you use it to analyze the same Auba that is an example? It is not Auba's fault that the team was still a WIP. He did what was required of him and that is just it. Asides tye fault out which i still blame him for, man did his own part and that's it.

Clinicality is very very important for any striker. Simple!!
The argument is not about clinicality bit over-reliance on one source for goals. Unless you're getting a Haaland who is a goal machine and not injury prone, there's nothing bad in spreading the goals across the forward positions.

I really want us to reignite our PK sector. We can go weeks or months without one, across all competitions. At least let's add it to our "dark arts"
This one go sweet belle. Jover over to you o. Find a way. We'll need this in the UCL in particular.

I once suggested this especially when Saka go jump leg against Brighton when that contact would have been a pure pk and a possible 3pts

I noticed most top teams have high frequency PKs and that's because they exploit any trailing legs expertly. It's no crime to do that at all especially when the defenders are careless. Against Bournemouth last season, after our huffing and puffing, it was smart play by Havertz to cleverly force a pk from Bournemouth keeper that opened the flood gates(2nd leg). Same thing against Crystal palace first leg when Nketiah forced a pk from their keeper (which resulted in our only goal of the game).
Odegaard had exact same scenario as Saka(vs Brighton) against Bournemouth last season (1st leg) and he quickly exploited the defender's carelessness.

It's not always nice to be "righteous" especially in football. We were during Wenger time and we saw how it backfired spectacularly.

There's nothing wrong with our "PK sector". If we are fouled in the box or an opponent handles the ball in the box while it's in play we will definitely get penalty.

Winning penalty is not something any reasonable team should be wasting time in training to practice. How do u even train a team to win penalty? 🤦‍♂️. If u are doing that , it simply means u are not ready to play at all, u will just kill the footballing spirit of ur players .

When u do what u are suggesting , u are putting the players at a risk of getting booked for diving. It will only worsen our red card situation that’s already bad.

Players should not be training on how to win penalty in games ; it’s kinda anti-football . Any coach that starts to teach his players that in training is just not ready to play football and only wants to be relying on luck because PK award is usually luck.

That trailing leg u are asking our players to always target so as to commit opponents’ defenders ; it will backfire when the defender withdraws his leg at the dying minutes and our player is adjudged to have dived.

We can work on other aspects of scoring goals legally like playing more outside shots and not always trying to waltz our way into the back of the net. For example , I’ve seen teams score well placed shots against Ederson of man city severally while we are not known for blasting our way to the back of the net against him until that Calafiori goal. We can have our players train on being aware to play such shots too instead of just trying to dribble or pass to the back of the net. They can have training sessions with someone like Havertz whose shot is always week and doesn’t threaten any goalkeeper .

Is nonsense jare,

We played gidigbo football(actually same style of football with Spuds) at spuds because no creativity in the midfield.

Mancity vs Arsenal was so much an entertaining football before the red, so what did the expect, we should be forming attacking team ?

Make dem getat. Is this one self Odegaard no dey, they will see more make dem no vex

With Raya nursing a knock and Neto cup-tied, 16-year old Jack Porter who has been with the first team might start in goal today. Setford is battling fitness issue.

Another day for Haram football grin

A forward line of Sterling, Jesus and Martinelli won't be bad.
In midfield, Jorginho, Ethan and Rice
In defence, White, Heaven, Kiwior and Myles.
Subs: Gower, Dowman, Salah Eddine, Ismail and little man.

There is a lot abeg. How will relegation teams be seeing pk against even big teams and we can't even? I didn't say they need to train for it but to EXPLOIT THE HOW. it is part of the game. It is also one aspect of the game used to kill the vibes of the average gunner across seasons. So why can't we use our cunny to our advantage.

We should do what it takes to win abeg. We need alll possible means to our advantage. That's what the game is about. Yes we are sleek with the ball in the opponents box already but stuff like this can help by far to make a difference on days when everyone no get wetin dey sup with goalscoring.

You're talking like this because Raya is saving so the story is different. Lol. You want to wait for days it will be the big difference before you realize we barely get pks?

You want to wait till a UCL semifinal at 99mins before you acknowledge it is a deal breaker?

We need it. We need it. More frequently. We are the team in top 6 with the lowest to start with. We are also the top 6 team with the lowest because of ref overlooked. Naaahh.

He took it there do i indulged him. Why would he undermine such unique attribute that makes strikers noticed?

Like I've said before, we need ALL possible means to goalscoring, a 9 inclusive. Haaland scores important goals. When he's not in xi, the team sets up to spread the goalscoring that even Gvardiol gets on scoresheets. No lele. We need our own rattler too.

You literally said " Jover over to you " in ur post I quoted and now u are saying u didn't ask them to train for it. So why did u call Jover name ? grin

The Jover u called is our Set piece coach whose job is to "train" the players on set piece; It gives an impression that u want our players to train on how to win penalties in matches.

That will amount to putting unnecessary pressure on the team and disrupting their flow of play because they will always have their mind on winning a PK when they are in the box even when they should be aiming at scoring open play goals.

Let our players just focus on being better players by taking their chances when they come. Simple.

Penalty is part of the game and will come naturally when our players are fouled, or opponents handle the ball in the box 18. There's no need to start focusing on how to win penalty; to me that's cowardice. It's more like u are already conceding u may not win the game trying to score open play goals. Going that way will undo some of the good work the team has put in because there's a risk of getting penalized for diving right there.

God bless you abeg for that last paragraph. We've gotten to carried away with this W that we think we don't need any other means to get ahead. Lwkm. Teams are punishing our good defenders and e reach our turn, we suddenly don't want to cos "we don't need it"?

Punish those defenders abeg. Martinelli for one is a good good starter for winning pk. Smartness. No be everytime we wan rely on style.
You want to be the best, then do WHATEVER it takes as long as it is within the rules.

Our corner kicks setup was what we used to suffer in the past, with defenders bullying snd deliberately fouling Leno, Ramsdale. Now we've turned it around, they're calling it dark arts. grin

There's a very very thin line between diving and exploiting a player's carelessness to win PK.

I played amateur football, and I've watched professional football long enough to know that players do actually lose goalscoring opportunities while trying to win a penalty in the box. You can have a ref waiving the ball play-on for not enough contact in a PK appeal, You can have a very brilliant defender who withdraws his outstretched leg at the last second, or worse still u can have ur player booked for diving.

Let our players focus on playing football and putting the ball at the back of the net instead of unnecessary distraction of trying to win an unsure penalty. We've seen in recent times how glaring fouls are not decided in our favor in the middle of the park; what makes u think those referees will award fouls to us in the opponent's box?
