Same trip men will happily run for 3k in the good old days

Kai tinubu do this one oh
Well make we endure this one
It's just the baby steps of pain 😢

I did one trip from OX to Shades on same Kofo Abayomi street N1,700 the babe say chai... Trip that we used to pay N500 before.
We are just collecting big big money but our profit no increase.
I recall when I used to buy fuel 1k in d morning 1k in d afternoon and 1k in d evening to work. If I buy 5k fuel that's almost full thank. Now I must buy 20-25k at a go and it will finish that day. I don't even want to think about this mess we are in.

The attached pic reminds me of someone on this thread.

Una never sabi d art of renegotiating... If u are interested to learn then go to MM2 car park and spend 2hrs with those Ehailing guys at the carpark first floor.
Omo those guys are crooks, they no get shame, them be kura, they can whyne rider and they are bold and confident. They can pick a trip of 10k and convert it to 20k. Boya dey don dey do ehailing plus I just don't know how they do it. Renegotiation mostly works for very long distance trips like Sangoredo, Ibeju or places other people don't like going like Ota, Ayobo, Satellite town, Mowe, Ibafo, Sagamu etc

You think say na Ordinary eye, dem dey use do as I say, they will put jazz for mouth and negotiate price with you

All these 1k extra where e don carry u reach?
If Bolt didn't connect you to the Rider will u get the opportunity to be renegotiating offline?
We dey shout govt is bad, leaders are corrupt but we the people aren't any better.
Stop this thing, na because of people like u Indrive wan dey monitor our movement even when we are sleeping. Make rider report u to Bolt that u are requesting for offline, and Bolt will block u forever, that time u will be among the people accepting 3k from Yaba to lekki because u don't have any other option. Most of the drivers accepting rubbish trips on Indrive are Drivers that have been blocked by Uber and Bolt. Not that they are happy to take those trips but because they don't have any other option and man must survive.
So I am advising you now if u know the work no pay u, leave am go find another thing do, stop bastardizing the system and crippling the app companies by stealing from their gains.

Oga u re very wrong on this one.

When did doing the right thing become wrong.. coupled with high rate of insecurity in the nation.. so many things can go wrong on an offline trip, and it might not even be of your own doing….

I picked up a lady from a guy house one day like that, not knowing the idiot boyfriend already used abortion pill for the lady, the lady was bleeding in my car and fainted at the back, when I got to the destination, (I am not the chatty type of driver) so I didn’t know what was going on at the back till I got to destination), Me: I will be ending the trip now ? No response.

To cut the story short, I had to drive the girls brother back to the guy House,( they pounced on me with emotion at first, my app saved me ) he was arrested, proceed to police station for reports, before I was allowed to leave.. imagine it the other way round.

It's not a case of doing the right thing
Nobody like to convert a trip to offline but the situation has forced our hands

Imagine someone here (can't remember the moniker) did a trip from a whole addo to airport 18500(that a whole lot of money), his running cost (fuel and commission) is already like14-15k, his profit on that trip is not up to 4k and remember that trip would have lasted like 2hrs or more.

These days I don't buy full tank cos to make that money back with profit may seem difficult

Like pearl rightly said: We are just collecting big big money but our profit no increase.

It’s just sad that it’s getting worse day by day.. the story of ehailing is quiet different here.. I have the opportunity of speaking to two or three of them.. same positive story, they make like 3k pounds monthly after paying commission, (average : 9-5 work) still have Health discount from Uber, discounted cards for Amazon and other.

The last time I worked was on Sunday. My only problem is the insignificant increase in ride fares.

When fuel rose to 500plus the price on bolt to vi from my axis was 10k-11k without surge o formerly it was like 7-8k
Now fuel is now almost 1000/l, I was so surprised when that same Sunday I did a trip from my area to ikate on the island for 13k on bolt. And that was the damn estimate it showed when the trip showed on my phone and this was a trip I wanted to convert to offline but since it was an elderly woman I didn't have strength to start explaining what i mean by offline et al

It was after we started moving the woman said I thought you will do it offline and I asked why, she said that's what almost all drivers that carries her asks cos of the fuel increase

I think I know a lot and give people the best advice, but sometimes I can be so carefree about things. 12 years ago, during Jonas time, we were complaining. 10 years from now, it’ll still be one junk analysis from media and people who feels thy know better to another. Add that to you life and think thro what you want to see under the sun. A friend of mine (in USA) and I were having brief of a property he sent to me around 10m and how he intend to buy and wants to know my view. To me, if the documents are ok and they won’t be issue… go ahead and their already a building on it, complete and resale maybe 3 years. That’s around sango. After few days… he called back and like see, I don’t have interest. After school, 3 years from now max, I’ll be able to save up to acquire something in the island. He already have a paly… I was just think how many ride I have to complete to acquire chioce property on the island. My point still remains same argument we go thro time to time. This country makes it hard for people that honestly want to be normal.

Well I don't support going illegal cos of the excuse that things are hard. Any day I work full day I net minimum 40k after fuel and commission. This ur analysis isn't correct, the default calculation is that u make min 50% profit on every trip after commissions and fuel.
I think Bolt and Uber are trying to find an equilibrium between an affordable price for Riders and a profitable price for Partners. I still drive to see for myself so nobody is giving me bobo and I am not telling u what someone said.
Therefore, it's just greed, corrupt mindset and unprofessionalism to try to fleece the App companies of their dues. Sometimes they are very generous to give attractive bonuses, instead of cheat the system, why not work and get the bonus. Last month and early this month they were practically dashing 10k daily for just 7 trips without conditions. Last week and the week before they gave 50k/42k for 50/40 trips in a week depending on your category.
So even if one is tight on profit, those bonuses can help u with fuel. What more can they do to help, no be them be ur govt o.
Without the Bonus, and u are not an ant, u can earn 25-30k daily without upending anyone. It's not millionaire standard but that's 150-180k in a week and over 600k in a month. U think this isn't enough?
