Disstroy.
Shey our president is not spreading communist propaganda.❓❓

"He called on world leaders to recommit themselves to multilateralism by deepening relations among member states of the United Nations (UN) in line with the principles of inclusivity, equality and cooperation".

President Tinubu promoting multilaterism at the United Nations.
This is the same thing we're preaching, let the relationship between African countries and the West be that of "Equality, inclusivity and cooperation ". Not a slave-master relationship. China built the largest lithium processing plant in Nasarawa which the president commissioned this year. If it were left for the West, we should not have the technology to process lithium or have the ability to mass produce for our own use or export EV batteries.

The funny thing is this institute will most likely not be aware of any of such project in its budget. It is definitely at the ministry level the padding would've been carried out.

I still pass by the Institute this morning on Ahmadu Bello Way, V.I. Nothing concern that school wey I see with road construction; what they do basically is train marine engineers, marine technicians and marine scientists.

He crashed inflation from 133% last year to under 8.8% in 7 months.

Reduced government ministries by half, devalues the peso by 50%, slashed subsidies, cut all unnecessary govt expenses and flew commercial.

This is what Nigeria needs and Obi would've done with their Mumu question of WHAT WOULD OBI HAVE DONE, HE PROMISED TO REMOVE SUBSIDY TOO,na to send their foot soldiers to dey bark PROSPERITY IS NEAR everytime like ekuke while their principal and his overhyped technocrats are budget-padding,increasing ministries, aides and govt expenses..

It is funny how some people tend to underestimate certain candidates based off wrong perceptions, those are in the know have said that Monday is a philanthropist and he's well liked by the common man on the street regardless of his lack of sophistication. He may not be fluent in speech or coherent in expression but it's said about that he relates well with the masses.

We the elites place more importance on things that do not matter to the bulk of the electorates. To the electorates its how visible and how relatable you are to them. From what I heard Monday has always been on ground in his locality. I saw one video wey dem say he donated 6m to a sick AAU boy. Being present and helping your community before electioneering is valued than 6 debates on TV where the bulk of voters wont even watch and those watching are looking for faults and wrong grammar

It is funny how some kind of ridiculous stuffs can be defended and spinned cheesy.....APC can present a down syndrome person (NO disrespect to them) as governor and president someday, people dey wey go spin the narrative as to why they should be voted for or deserve victory......

This isnt the post of a councillor or local govt chairman. Lets see how he will use this his aura to attract investors and foreign investment to the state

Was he doing that as a private citizen or when he's already a senator?

If not that Nigeria is an upside-down society, is this the job of a senator? Monday was a senator before he contested for the governorship seat. Ideally what would've impacted more on his constituency is for him to sponsor bills that will translate to the betterment of the life of his people.

All those Senators collecting hundreds of millions as salaries & allowances, collecting billions as constituency allowances and sharing paltry sums to their loyalists in the name of constituency project will never take us anywhere. How many people can he even pay their hospital bills if he wants to?

What matters to the bulk of the electorate is what will touch their lives in general and not just a handful of people getting keke NAPEP, hairdryer, grinding machine, etc. in the name of constituency projects. They just use that nonsense to siphon money.

The House of Assembly members should be the ones bursting padded budgets which the executive arm of government submitted to them. That is also what they can do to touch the lives of the common man in order to ensure they have hope in this so-called democracy. Instead, they would rather add more paddings to the already padded budget.

The average voter is actually not the problem . The average voter wants life to be better for himself or herself under whoever gets elected in the long run.

The greatest argument against democracy in Nigeria is corruption by the elected officials .

Mojisolaoluwa Alli-Macaulay was a lawmaker in Lagos who got palliatives from government/private sector partnership during COVID-19 to be shared for her constituents . Instead She kept the palliatives and decided to share to those who attended her birthday later that year. Is that the problem of the electorates too?

Guess what ? After she lost her re-election bid, Tinubu recently appointed her as ED of a Federal government parastatal . Smh . 🤦‍♂️ Later if we hear of any corruption scandal in NSITF during her time there , we will start forming surprised

If you don't bring constituency projects or share gifts your constituents will not vote for you in the election cycle unless you want to rig massively in that case you need state support which you may not get. I once argued the fact that legislators shouldn't be judged based off constituency projects in a discussion with some acquaintances it was as if I was speaking to a choir they didn't want to hear any of it.

That's not their primary job they should be judged on the strength of bills and oversight functions. The constituency projects is an avenue for fraud and financial misappropriation that constituency projects should be scrapped

As long as they're collecting money for constituency projects, they should be judged off that too. Proposing solid bills and doing constituency projects are not mutually exclusive.

If u read through the first few lines of my post, I was implying that constituency projects and constituency allowances should be scrapped because they are just avenue for lawmakers to steal public funds. It's just an avenue for them to get even with their colleagues on the executive arm of government who use executive powers to steal.

They should be doing their primary duty of checking the excesses of the executive and making laws that will move the nation forward

I was around Ado Ekiti in 2001 visiting UNAD and I already saw Fayose and his stainless vehicles all over Ekiti as he was doing a lot of philanthropic things on ground in Ekiti. So by the time elections came in 2003, it was an easy win for him against the sitting governor

Its a popularity contest at the end of the day. A professor who needs to gut out your manifesto before deciding has the same vote power as a palm wine tapper wh will vote for you because a big man stoppped at his shop to share a calabash of palmwine with him
