The release of the template might be real. The PPSB representatives were at our school on resumption day. According to them,
1. The long awaited promotional letters are now available, and will soon be dispatched.
2. There will be follow-up promotional exercise for those wrongly placed, to make sure that all get their due promotion.
3. That minimum wage payment will be reflected in our payments this month or latest next month.

To show how wicked they are, they did not specify how long it will take them to conclude their useless meeting, and bring out the template. They deliberately delayed to constitute the committee until now, and deliberately didn't give a time frame to conclude the job.

If up till now ,you don't have an alternative income,then you are in for a long thing. See how long it took the FG to agree on a minimum wage as low as 70k which makes no meaningful meaning in this lives of workers today. And
after signing it into law,it took this long again to form a committee that to work on the new template for payment. What a country? What a nation ? These type of leaders are not found in any part of the world. This polithiefcians are more wicked than the devil and they don't care. It didn't take them time to buy presidential jet,a yatch for the president, without appropriation,buy SUVs worth 160 million for each lawmaker. But that that concerns the workers and citizens in general is always treated with levity. In a twinkle of an eye,fuel is now 1300 ( though depending on where you are). Nigeria as a nation has expired. I rest my case.

The Committee on Consequential Adjustment in Salaries Arising from the National Minimum Wage Act, 2024, has reached an agreement on the consequential salary adjustments for public sector employees.

The Committee, formed a week ago, has finalised the terms of the new salary structure, a crucial step toward the full implementation of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act, 2024.

The agreement specifies the following percentage increases in salary adjustments across different grade levels under the Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS), which applies to federal ministries, extra-ministerial offices, and agencies: CONPSS 01-06: 80.81% to 64.73% increase; CONPSS 07-14: 45.59% to 19.35% increase and CONPSS 15-17: 14.35% to 4.41% increase.

Federal government has previously increased their workers' salaries by some percentages, which Rivers state did not increase. Hope our governor will pay based on federal government's new template, which will be addition to previous increment. That is based on the current amount our counterparts from federal ministry are receiving when added to the new minimum wage.

1st October is approaching. If it were the good old days they will do everything possible to please Nigerians in order to have something rich to add to the independent day address. Now they don't really care. Otherwise I expect every governor to pay the new minimum wage this September. But I believe every template they are now using against Nigerians has an expiry date.

I hope the governor will pay us according to the main calculations since uptill now, he is yet to constitute the state renegotiation committee. The man just de do like his no longer interested in the job. Others have set up committees, also paying too. Make this money no pass this year ooo.
