To be fair to him, except when it rains in the evening, hold up no too dey PH like that.

Road and traffic condition may be contributing to poor mileage in Lagos.

Even we wey dey use V6 easily get 7-8km/litre. But then, that's in PH. Their reality in Lagos may be different.

Most people have allowed Kazeem to remove thermostat from their cars, connected fan direct, O2 sensor isn't working and are using thicker engine oil. So it's always a mystery to them when their reality is different. Even when what u are telling them is inline with manufacturer specifications.
If I were him, I will find how to make my car save fuel rather than grandstand on a faulty mandate.

@Readadream pls confirm for us.
I have your number... I am interested in this case. I am chatting u up now.
These are cases we need to help out each other, I no dey for plenty chochocho.
I am sure everyone here will like to know exactly what happened. Why will an ehailing driver b arrested alongside the passengers? Do they arrest flight attendant or pilot when passenger carries drugs or contraband?

This case was mentioned here when it happened. I also read it elsewhere online. It is true.

Some people are now saying it's better they drive than take uber cos it's getting too expensive.
Some others are running to indrive for cheap rides and others are actually taking yellow cabs or public transportation.
Many people now treck from inside estate to d gate to enter keke or korokpe.
Others only go out when it is extremely necessary, all those careless long distance waka don reduce.
U should chat more with ur riders next time u carry them. These questions shouldn't be for me.

Coz they are driving themselves and running to other alternative doesn't mean they will be consistent in that, give them 2 to 3 weeks, they will come back by the time they see how inconvenient other alternatives are, do you think I enjoy driving?, I'm only forced to do it at the moment Coz it's the only thing that puts food on my table..

Bros, I don't want to know the kind of car he's driving, even if it's 1.6l engine, there's no way to get 80k with 20k fuel.

Pearl is probably exaggerating or he's just intentionally feeding us lies.

Bros, abeg, check price from Maryland bus stop to ajah under bridge on bolt app, look at the price and check how many litres you will use to cover that distance to get that price.

I just did here and Bolt charged 14200 from Maryland to ajah under bridge, and let's say you're using 5litre(not possible tho) to cover such distance.

If you divide 5litre from 22litre, you will get 4.4, which means you will do that Maryland to ajah 4.4 times.

So, multiply 14200 by 4.4times, you will get 62,576 and we can agree it's not possible to use 5litres of fuel from Maryland to ajah. Maybe if there's heavy surge, you can achieve 80k with 20k fuel but without surge, you can't achieve that.

I'm putting this into calculations cox I know it's not possible, but if pearl wants to prove me wrong, he should screenshot the whole trips details he did to get 80k with 20k fuel and I will do my calculations here and prove him wrong......

Screenshot below shows; 1st image, Maryland to ajah
2nd image ajah to Maryland...

I feel you boss, but I no just like to argue some argument because I no deh there. All man should just do what works for them.

Any driver that does this is a fool, why will you claim someone is a close associate when you randomly rendering service to the person all because of money...

I've done many offline where police will stop me and they will ask me themselves if I'm Uber cox sometimes, I dress like this guys too and I will just say yes it's Uber.

But, this my guy case, I was surprised too that they detained him when he told them he's just an Uber driver, but reason why he was detained was because they found gun on the guys and 2 of them ran away...

I naturally don’t like using police route, those guys are not professional to me. Tho they hardly disturb drivers, except in few cases and are hardly in same page with each other. Twice they caught guys and I have to follow them to the station. As what? They said witness. Omo! My time, my fuel, I felt that. Driving is spiritual, I don’t need anyone to ruin my day.

However, if the ehailing coys wants to continue with their present pricing template then maybe they should create a category for riders to choose from

A: Cars without AC, Bluetooth, no preference to dents whose duty is just to move from point a to b for these current prices. There will be no complain everybody is happy
B: Cars that properly fit into the ehailing concept AC, Bluetooth and neat, option for number of riders or riders with loads with commensurate prices

In these cases, riders can now pay for what they get
Remember ehailing is supposed to be a luxury service.

Either your guy is lying to you, or he was part of them.

Police is wicked, but they are not stupid.

The moment those two can confirm that you are just a driver, the police will let you go.

Heck, if you can prove that you were just a cab driver, you will be excused.
Broz forget oo this is Nigeria if Nigerian police is ready to deal with you den go deal with you....the reason majority of them is trying to free uber drivers in such cases is most of them dey roll with uber drivers steady so tey some uber drivers dey bring food for them. Sometimes they use to stop me and will be like I should tell them if my passenger dey carry or not that I should not worry they will do me well. So if Nigerian police is ready to rope you into anything it is very easy for them oo

The reason police will free an Uber rider, is the same one they have with Danfo drivers, or GIG.

The reason? You are contracted to carry from one point to another, and you are not responsible for what your client carries.

Even during SARS, once they stop and search and find any exhibit, they simply ask the rider to settle you or even if they take you to the station, they let you go. You think it is because you all "roll together"?

If a driver is bundled together with his rider, most likely he implicated himself with what he said or his actions, and the Police will cash in on that.

They are not stupid oh.

No court will throw a danfo driver in prison because a passenger was caught with drugs.

I totally agree with, in many cases, police will leave you once they know you're an Uber driver, there was a day I took some guys, immediately we got to the street they were going, we met police in that street, I guess they came to arrest or something. Immediately they saw the guys in my car, they stopped me and searched those guys and they saw loud with them, they took them into their car and asked me how much is my money, I ended it and they paid me themselves.

I just drove away, but that my guy case, it would have been different if those guys didn't run away and I guess it was an English gun they found on them and they detained my guy as a suspect.

The prayer is not to carry someone that will implicate us.

What about fuel? Lagos has the cheapest fuel in Nigeria at the moment. Ehailing fares in Abuja is total rubbish.. There's a uniform price of spare parts. If a corrolla hub is 60k in Lagos, it can't be lesser in Abuja, yet they use the same Toyota corrolla. You are expecting AC at roughly 1k per litre.. I like Abuja drivers, they keep it real.

Firstly, there are options of report to pick from, with no price stated.

Having selected one, I am asked to register or log in..Bear in mind that i still have no idea on what it would cost me yet.

This automation no automate for my eye.

No, he is not saying everyone is like him or lying, but it calls for concern that the scenario you painted the driver was arrested.
I have been in situations where riders are with exhibit when stopped, I was simply asked to go when I could prove my role is just moving them from point to point.
so why was his different? what is he not saying, and to top it all, he paid 450k for the matter
Please I am interested also, if he has evidence of this payment when he did not commit a crime
We could run it by Hundeyin or Muyiwa the Force PRO
