yinkeys:You know ball. A lot of strikers will try to take shots from those positions where he just creates a simple pass to assist... Even in his team there are a lot of players like that - simple pass to a free player, they'll opt to shoot. |

Galatasaray's head coach on Victor Osimhen yet to score after three matches. “Victor Osimhen’s game is very important. Not everything is about scoring goals. You score goals, but you lose the game, when he sees the net, he passes the ball to the closest player. If he focused only on scoring goals, it could be different. He fights a lot during the game. He suits us very well as a player and a person. It is very valuable to have him with us.” I'll be here when the goals start pouring in... 🌧️🌧️🌧️ 11 Likes 1 Share |

robosky02: I am Victor's biggest fan, but I think one of the reasons all this is happening is because he has ridden on the hype a little too much. Osimhen has nothing to prove anymore, he already has the accolades to back himself up. He needs to stop trying to meet up to the bloated hype/expectations people have of him, which only adds pressure to himself. Case in point, first Gala game, trying so hard and celebrating/claiming Bardakci's goal. Celebrating assists and own goals like he dribbled past ten players to score, etc. We love him enough that whether he scores on his debut or not, whether he scores every game or not, we are still behind him. He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone anymore, so he should reduce the stress and expectations he puts on himself, and have fun playing football. He is good enough that the goals will come. He doesn't need to score in every game to maintain his value, he just needs to score with the next chance in front of him. Luckily, irrespective of all this, his game is still very unselfish, which speaks so much of his personality and play style. But putting that much pressure on yourself will make it inevitable at some point that your teammates might start to resent you for trying to 'steal' the spotlight. This is why I love Victor Boniface so much. He very firmly positions himself as the underdog, as the 'second' Victor, as the unserious comedian. This is because as the underdog, people have reduced expectations of you, so you have a higher margin of error which you can use to make mistakes and gain experience necessary to improve on your game. But if you watch him slowly, his game is getting exponentially better. The improvements in his playstyle from Bodo -> USG -> Leverkusen first year -> Leverkusen second year are honestly mindblowing. See his two goals against Hoffenheim for instance. He wouldn't have taken those shots from those positions two years ago (and the second goal even as close as last year). His dribbling in tight spaces is getting refined, his stamina is improving, his hold up play is getting more mature, he is losing the ball less than before. All these are improvements from his game last season that he is slowly getting better at, and doing so away from the spotlight and the pressure of being the 'first' Victor. I wonder what he will look like in 2-3 years time. 5 Likes 1 Share |

drDoom3: He has nothing to prove after having one great season? Do you think SAF will be referred as the Epl coaching GOAT if he didn’t win multiple Epl titles? Osi has a lot to prove like winning the ANC, helping Nigeria qualify for the World Cup, win another major league title and in addition to that, possibly win the champions league. My friend, he has all to prove. 5 Likes |

Subzerooo: Adarabioyo was never an upgrade to balogun and ekong we never looked his way to be honest We’re considering him now because ekong don’t have much years left and Bassey is great all aggression and no brain Adarabioyo is not an upgrade I’m glad we never got Tammy A or else we would have lost out of Lord osimenh 1 Like 1 Share |

BankyGee: So painful. This is another of our national team I love so much. We could be world beaters in beach soccer cuz the raw talent is there, we once took Brazil to the cleaners. Seems we've regressed badly allowing Senegal to become so dominant and now losing to even Mauritania. 3 Likes 1 Share |

charlesemeka85: Seems you label Bassey world class Bassey is slightly above average and his physicality is unparalleled and that’s all he has going for him You see those silly mistakes he makes them but not as frequently as before e.g Ajax era I I’ll watch Fulham match ahead of my Man U that’s how much I love Bassey and iwobi but denying his flaws only show that you’re biased asf In Super E colors or Fulham he makes average player mistakes so don’t stand here and judge like his world class so calm down |
