BREAKING🚨A significant IDF preemptive strike is taking place deep in Lebanon. Heavy surface-to-surface missiles are being attacked because Israel detected preparations for launch

The Ayatollah does not want a hot war.
Israel will kill 70% of Iranian generals in 48 hours in a hot war.

Hamas was willing to fight a war of attrition with Israel.
Iran does not have that appetite.

The open question is at what point does the Iranian public go from "I'm not going to die for the Ayatollah" to "Family, country, Allah".

If he's smart he will sit this one out. Like he's been doing

When I found out the age of the bird Raisi died in I knew these people no get any levels. Then the guy they killed in Iranian soil was the final straw. They will just send some weak missiles that barely reach their target

I don't know that the Iranian public can pull off a revolution without external help.

What I do know is if Ayatollah do pass himself Bibi will face him next. The man is bloodthirsty and he doesn't care what it will cost

He doesn't care about cost because he will not be the one picking the tab.
The US has 2 carrier strike groups in the Med with some 100,000 soldiers half a day away from Tel Aviv.
The Fifth fleet command is in Bahrain.

Apparently, the Ayatollah is walking around fire expecting not to sweat.
You cannot show your underbelly in the ME. Unfortunately, he did just that by demonstrating he is not willing to put it all on the line.
Preservation of his lootocracy is more important than the movement he sold to the hapless militias.

The Iranian public might force him to go to war with Israel with the implicit understanding that the War will destroy the Islamist regime and something better will emerge. Wrecking Israel will be the bonus. Losing 4-10m Iranians will be a steep but fair price.
But they've not hit that point yet.
It also says a lot about the Regime when the golden rule of every nation and leader in history is that war against a foreign foe boosts political standing, but the Ayatollah knows that rule doesn't apply to him.

That said, there are millions of Iranians who hate the Ayatollah's gut who would volunteer to fight a hot war after these assassinations.
When Saddam invaded Iran, they had just 150K soldiers, had purged 12,000 officers, executed 85 generals, and forced all major generals into early retirement. They ended that War with 800K soldiers, sustained half a trillion $ in economic losses, faced off a US embargo, and were itching for more action. Children as young as nine volunteered to head to the front to become martyrs.
If someone assassinates the Ayatollah and rallies Iran to war, Netanyahu will not get out of the debacle alive.

Yes, there is the US election angle but the pressure from Israelis to be the aggressor than reactive like in the case of Hamas attacks is fueling this.
Furthermore, his chance of reelection in 2026 is strongly hinged on his response and ability to show he can be decisive in dealing with enemies.

No it cannot be the plan to have your whole country blockaded by Yemen, Northern Israel evacuated and GDP go down 20%

They were enjoying good times and took eyes off the ball, a period of peace made them complacent

However all is not Uhuru. These terrorists are like that kid with strong head, even when they are outmatched they will still keep causing havoc. These are niggas who still fight USA any chance they get even if USA pass them well well.

Hamas is still operating in Gaza.
The war ends and Northern residents will return when Netanyahu signs a ceasefire deal in Gaza.

Middle East politics is quite complex. Sunnies and Shia don't see eye to eye.

Syrians remember Hezbollah helped Assad remain in power.

Almost like they're all silently rooting for Hezbollah downfall

Ayatollah and Tehran will do well to keep dropping empty threats and avoid full on confrontation.

IDF will not do war of attrition with these guys. They will go straight to the head of the snake. And it will be gnarly for Iranian leadership. They will all be wiped out

Will Bibi live or die after that? I doubt he cares. He's playing with house money as you said.

All the other countries that could jump in to overwhelm Isreal are either anti Shia/Hezbollah or are too weak economically to chook mouth

By definition, a war of attrition means regardless of who dies, the war effort proceeds.
This explains why Hamas is still operating even though most of their veterans and leaders are dead.

Israel will have to send boots into Iran.
Israel cannot secure Iran with a 10m citizenry.
Iran will burrow deep into the mountains and churn out thousands of missiles that'll rain on Palestine day and night.
Israelis will become moles living underground 24/7 in shelters. The economy will be decimated. Millions will flee.

Killing leadership will not change this outcome.
Killing 3 million Iranians will not change this outcome.
Destroying nuclear reactors will not change this outcome.

Every war Israel has fought has been invaders trying to capture Palestine and hand it over to Palestinians.
Iran wouldn't give a flying f*ck.
If it comes down to an existential total war with Israel, the goal will be to cripple the Israeli state whatever the cost.

The Ayatollah is not prepared for such a war presently, but Khomeini did fight such a war.

Plus Shia and Sunnis will always be at odds. Whether openly or covertly
