Let south Africa try any policy on land redistribution and see whether they will not find themselves at No 300 real quick. Zimbabwe was doing good and had the highest literacy levels in the whole of sub saharan Africa under Mugabe. That was until the man couldn't bear it any more, and started asking questions as to why a 5% minority whites, controls almost 90% of the arable lands in a country that earns almost everything from agro related exports. The west quickly blew up the economy. Thats how a Mugabe that was always welcomed at Buckingham Palace with red carpets, was framed instantly as another Idi Amin Dada.

I'm not disparaging the south African authorities for choosing to follow a path that works for them, but they should know that the west allows them a lot of economic prosperity simply because the ruling blacks have swallowed their egos, and allowed the minority whites to control all real agents of economic growth. That must be a bitter pill to swallow. And this also accounts for the frustrations in the black communities, the transfers of aggressions on the migrant African communities over there, and the increase in prostitution and drug use amongst black South Africans as poverty and want, rage waywardly.
