Hello Ere.
There are many ways I will go about using the money.
1. I can just invest it in TB that will give me 3m upfront and then invest the interest in premium stocks like zenith, gtb to earn dividends and capital growth in 3 years time.

2. I can invest the interest in agro commodity trading - did palm oil last year, bought at 25k per keg and sold at 35k, bought beans last December at 50k per bag and sold 90k around March, sorghum 40k per bag December and sold September for 75k.

3. Divide the capital into 2, 50% into fixed income like TB for 20% interest and 50% into stocks.
4. Use the interest in number one for cassava and maize farming.

My guess is that issue of Govt of Lagos and lekki community to account for the use of $100bn paid by DR for their land.

oh OK.. $100m.
I think the impact on DR operations will be little.
The Lagos govt then is no more..the new one will give DR cooperation it deserves.

Besides most of them are now in the federal system. as Lagos is almost a quasi-federal state..(my opinion)

Tinubu, Fashola, etc..
I think they will find federal support to justify the spending if need be.

DR major headache Na NNPC n IPMAN

Nothing like indictment here. Its a simple application anchored on the freedom of information Laws.
They need details of the said $100 million paid to the lagos state government for the land. Dangote is not a party to the suit.

Mind you the law allows state governments to acquire individual lands for public purposes subject to certain conditions.

They might not also be legally able to pursur dang refinery on the issue of land because of certain limitation laws.

You extracted the contents much better..
It's for LASG and Ibeju-Lekki people to account for the money using FOI act.
Yes, agreed as you said, limitations of Land Laws allows for gross informalities and discretions that you can't hold DR against how he purchased it..(the Refinery must have personally documented all Transactions).

But I get where Mega is coming from.
Most of these kind of cases can spiral out of the initial context and include other defendants and prosecutors, even witnesses not in the initial court filling.

Even DR can be brought into the matter, leading to an unwanted face-off with Govt.

He deliberately went on a panic spreading spree which is utterly disgusting. It wasn't a case of honestly giving wrong advice which wouldn't have elicited this reaction from me... it was "malice analysis" intended to cause panic selling and a crash in oando price so he can load up..

I've moved on.. just spoke my mind
@ SonofElElyonRet, streetinvestor has the right to be pessimistic about oando or any other company as much as you or any other person have the right to be optimistic about the oando or any other company. If true you sold your oando based on someone else's opinion, you were confused and don't know the reason you invested on oando in the first place. Regretting after selling your stock by yourself is childish and blaming another person for your personal decision is immaturity.

You made about 50℅ profit and you are still regretting what if it was a loss?

I had dropped this matter until you reared your unfortunate head to spew trash. Your brain lacks the capacity to understand the issues raised. No words to exchange with a nitwit nonentity seeking attention and recognition. Argue and rant with yourself and your keypad.

Hi guys,
I understand how you may feel. You may have some point but please, let us avoid the use of derogatory words directedly at each other. We never know who is or may become our friend or benefactor in real life.
Let's us be measured in our words and reactions even when we are justifiably angry.
I am not pretending to be a saint or better than anyone here, but we have to let cool heads reign.

Everyone of us should have learnt a lesson about where we went wrong!

Peace and best of luck to everyone, including those who believe in my Oando and those who do not (greetings to Godlyguy)

The actual thing to do is for NNPC to also reveal how much they are paying for PMS imports currently (since 16.8 million litres purchased from Dangote Refinery isn't enough for local consumption). NNPC is just trying to put DR on the spot vs Nigerians. You import at over #1,100/litre and subsidize it to sell at circa #840. Then you buy a better quality of the same product at less than your import price but because you don't want DR, you prefer not to pay a lower subsidy so that you can keep importing in order to pay a higher subsidy. The problem is that we don't seem to see through what they(NNPC) are doing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUFXP3V9k7M

Like I said before all so basic , exchange rate is the Koko , subsidy is still there even with purchase from dangote either its the current purchase or the ones that will start next month , dangote knows what he is doing , he is no messiah and rightly so ,I would do same as a businessman grin grin grin , it should be very clear to you from the video , once you take away emotions and sentiments from economics things become very clear

As par landed prices by nnpc which depends on oil price and exchange rate , information abounds on what it is , I do agree however there has been corruption over the years on quantity of fuel imported by nnpc and opaqueness in landed price because of subsidy payment

I used to laugh whenever I hear this statement, Otedola has a stake in Dangote refinery, Otedola and Tinubu are very close, he supported Tinubu from the beginning to the end during the election. I still don't understand how people know that Tinubu don't have stake in d refinery as well. Tinubu on his own is silent investor.

Pls its ok. Just let it go. I remember pointing out earlier how he made people sell by his "oando don cast" anthem and immediately changed to a new anthem the moment he got some units of the share, claiming he spoke to someone who gave him some info on Oando's future.
The day I pointed this out, he attacked me with all sorts of insult. I just ignored him and he slept off.
I advise you also ignore him and move on.

It didn't pain me cos i had no oando (na seplat team I follow) but all the same, I advise you ignore him. Not everyone you see here are normal. Everyone has his purpose of being here. Just focus in yours. Pls.

Seeing this post.Your shame come dey shame me.You being am old member here and this business should know better. That moniker was the reason I got the first ban and only ban since I came to thread
What was the reason. It was my contrary position to a post which he felt the person was an authority in this business and his position should not be argued /questioned
This bring me to 3 persons here I don't joke with thr call.It does not mean I should just accept all thr calls.(emmanuelewumi, ogg ,current price). I only follow one because of his vast knowledge outside stock in other financial instruments. That is Emma. This happened on Feb 28(page7619)This was a moniker I assumed was new to stock market.
One of this my respected oga made a position that the market was going to crash. And I objected it ,that it was only a pull back though I went over board to say he just want to depress the market for his gain
This new moniker came from nowhere to attack why I should question that oga authority in this business. And it continued to insult sand I chop ban
Today Mr time has answered which position was right
How can I now do what I have always kicked against in oando which is MH. I had betnaija in millions and still have in millions. You shame me
walahi

Stop deceiving yourself on the bolded statement. The NGX rose to this height base on their negative policies and not their making. Do you really think they care about the stock market? Have they being able to defend things that matter most about the economy, not to talk of the stock market.....
This was the attack
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 1:50pm
Streetinvestor2:
Don't get deceived because they increased rate to 22.75 % the market will crash. The rate whr once 18% during getj and markets didn't crash. It was low during pmb and nothing was happening in the stock market .why was thr no boom then.
The only thing I know that really affects the stock market is the economy. And nigeria economy is bound to improve

Some people want to buy you stock from you cheap after selling high.when they fully enter the market. You will begin to see analysis paralysis. No fall mugu for anyone. This government will never allow the market to crash because it is already being declared as one of its success.
This was my position that brought the attack. The last sentence in the post was his problem and he attacked me on it.Mr time has answered us
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 1:55pm
Streetinvestor2:
They banned me because of my oando post. And one guy decided to think he can tell me what to post.
I have decided not to quote any new moniker again. And if you are a new moniker and don't like my post.Pks jump and past ,don't quote me.I am not here for you to earn money or loose money. It is your money and has no benefit to me.
IF you quote my post to insult me.I promise you you can only start the insult but be rest assured I will finish it myself.
I have only changed moniker once and only have one moniker on nairaland land now.I don't have time to create new moniker or have multiple when nairaland is not paying me.
So if you come to my post respect yourself or avoid it.I am here only for my interest. And I now see this place as a place dog eats dog

Note.i no they fear anymore or ban. This place now is just for information purposes and won't determine my investment decisions .
Foe this year I will be investing and rebalancing my portfolio to only two sectors. Food and power. And gambling with onado.

Wale pls pay me #20....on that mandate I still stand
My caution post when I came back from ban
What I can't say is if the market did crash this yr or not
Happy Sunday to all
