A tanker laden with petrol product exploded on Sunday along the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road, specifically at Akenfa-3, in Bayelsa State.

Confirming the incident, spokesperson for the state police command, Musa Mohammed, said there is no cause for alarm.

According to him a tanker and a tricycle, popularly called Keke were caught in the fire, but no lives were lost.

He said the police command and the Federal Fire Service swiftly responded to contain the situation and enure everyone's safety.

But huge loss to the owner of the goods over 50m lost minus the cost of tanker.
