Impress? Most of you just assume we are all stupid together, I studied Computer science and information technology, I know this might be difficult for you to understand, but the main reason we can't boost of producing such devices is not because we are dumb, we just don't have that kind of funding.

Some secondary schools abroad have more funding than all the universities in some geopolitical zone put together, imagine some universities don't even have latest compilers to write programs, some still tech pascal in my time.

To answer your questions, yes, those machines are that cost, but because of volume, the cost are covered in the long run.
