Verydarkman Apologises To Femi Falana Over Bobrisky’s Bribery Claims by BeeBeeOoh(m): 5:56pm On Sep 30
A social media influencer, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan on Monday apologised to human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, over his recent derogatory innuendos against the senior lawyer.

VeryDarkMan, who appeared before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions on Monday, said he also did not believe Falana was involved in the alleged bribery levelled against crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Nigeria Correctional Service.

He said: “Apparently now, some people are taking the advantage of what is going to target Femi Falana.

“Here I apologise, it’s so sad that his name was inside that audio, I couldn’t believe as well; that is the part that irritated me more which I said I refuse to believe that he is a party to something like that.”

The blogger had shared audio of a popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, claiming she bribed some Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officials with N15 million to drop the money laundering charge against her.

In the purported recording, the crossdresser also claimed that her “godfather,” alongside the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa, ensured she served the six-month sentence in a private apartment and not in prison.

Reacting to the development in a video, VeryDarkMan called for a thorough investigation into the matter, saying that he had no intention of defaming Falana.

VeryDarkMan also alleged that Falana sought a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in exchange for N10 million.

However, in a letter dated September 25, 2024, from his legal team at Falana & Falana’s Chambers and signed by Taiwo E. Olawanle, Falana stated that he never spoke to Bobrisky about any alleged pardon or other matters, denying claims made in the video.

Falana’s problem is that, he loves money too much and never considers the name he has built for himself over decades.

Same way Oba Elegushi paid him to cover up Mohbad’s murder.

Falana will do anything for money. He got no class or reputation to protect.

Na today you start to see exposure for Nigeria?

Be like you never reach 18 years..

Is this as worse as what happened in Oputa Panel?

Or the Diezani Alison-Madueke exposure .. Has the oil sector improved ?

Look for how to make enough money .VDM is only increasing his publicity CV , all for money too.

I don't follow your reasoning at all.

↪ Are you somehow insinuating that the onus should lie with whistleblowers as far as improving Nigeria?
↪ Or are you suggesting that the whistleblowers are to ignore the truth because no improvement is being seen by you in any sector?

2. Yes, VDM is a social media personality and his business does not make noise to make money. Why do you somehow have a problem with him revealing the truth regarding crimes being committed in Nigeria even at that?

One guy parked his car in front pf my gate.
I will report him to HOUSE OF REPS so they can waste tax payers money on summons and investigation.

Seems they are more effective than police.

The worst people in our society are not bad people they are the so-called good people who will see bad things happening and will find it so convenient to keep quiet. Even bad leaders will see the need to address wrongdoings when it gets exposed. We must keep talking. Kudos to VDM

In Nigeria, you're forced to apologise for calling out injustice.

But seriously, if Pa Femi Falana's hands are clean, his name should have been nowhere near that call recording.....

That’s why he supports those very corrupt union leaders I assume . I mean I have been in an environment where the guys talks in Labour gathering and I said to myself . Is this the same Falana , Fela’s lawyer we always knew…… I challenge anyone to audit any union account in Nigeria then you will understand the root in the system. Just that we love to shout FGN any small thing.
