CUPP: At 64, Nigeria A Crawling Giant Due To Bad Leaders, Tinubu's The Worst by JKisOK(m): 5:54pm On Sep 30 |
The Coalition of United Opposition Political Parties (CUPP) has described Nigeria as a victim of successive crude, unpatriotic, incompetent and myopic leadership since flag Independence in 1960. CUPP said the Bola Ahmed Tinubu regime had inflicted the worst damage upon the country and the people. In a Press Release issued by CUPP's national Spokesperson, Comrade Mark Adebayo, on the occasion of the celebration of the country's 64th Independence anniversary, the opposition political parties stated that Nigeria is in a dire mess at the moment. CUPP's statement said: "It is difficult to congratulate Nigerians on this occasion of the 64th independence anniversary of the country because there is really nothing to celebrate. Independence is not an end in itself but was supposed to be a means to an end that translates into development, security, peace, and unity. But on all these indices, Nigeria is a crawling giant due, fundamentally, to the unfortunate succession of crude, heavily corrupt, unpatriotic, incompetent, and myopic leadership that has bedeviled this country since flag Independence. "Each administration is worse than the last one. In 1960 at independence, Nigeria held a huge promise as the giant of Africa and the light of all blacks globally with enormous potentials to be among the most developed in the comity of nations. But, alas, the foster elites that took over from the colonialists, plus the military and civilian politicians that followed them made looting of the country's resources a fundamental policy of government. "Critical infrastructures of state like education, energy, security, health, motorable roads, etc, have been pushed from the table to give way to the avariciously insatiable appetite of the ruling cliques. They act like an army of occupation unleashing socioeconomic mayhem on the country relentlessly. They have declared a war of attrition on the country whilst the citizens are the worst victims of their onslaughts. "The current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will go down in history as one of the worst ever in the annals of Nigeria's history. From day one, his government has started inflicting pains, suffering and hunger on Nigerians without let or hindrance. He has continued to promise harder and harder life for Nigerians for as long as his administration lasts. Food, education, health and security are far beyond the reach of 90% of the Nigerian population. Inflation is at an all-time high while our Naira has crashed against global and African currencies. Even the currency of the Republic of Bénin is much stronger than the Naira. This is how badly this government has ruined Nigeria's economy. "We commiserate with Nigerians on this 64th independence anniversary of failure, hunger, insecurity, pains and suffering. We urge Nigerians to support the opposition to rescue the country from the retrogressive APC in 2027 and give Nigerians a breathing space from the current dire mess that Nigeria is in". THENEWSGIANT

Softmirror:Some people think greatness and success comes overnight! They want to behave nonchalantly and expect success. Ask the GOAT Ronaldo. As rich as he is doesn't take sugary drink! Not because he can't afford it but because of its consequences to the body system. That is call discipline. You have to reap what you sow. The situation of Nigeria did not come overnight. It's an accumulation of deferment of solutions to a problem we all knew existed. Now, someone has said we must take the bull by the horns! Some lunatics are claiming he is the problem. We have to cut out the gangrene for the wound to heal. |

Dear Jagaban lovers, What is the progress update on Tinubu’s eight point agenda he promised Nigerians in 2023? This is over one year now. How far? 1. food security; 2. poverty eradication; 3. growth, 4. job creation; 5. access to capital; 6. inclusion; 7. rule of law; and 8. fighting corruption https://punchng.com/translating-tinubus-8-point-agenda-to-recovery/?amp What about the 50 million jobs promised between 2023 to 2026? How many has Tinubu and his government created? https://www.nairaland.com/7821154/tinubu-sets-3-year-economic-revival |

OkCornel:it's like a child that wants to sit in front of TV all day. To the child, the parents are bad if they prevent him/her from watching but the parents know best. If the parents succumbs to the child's urge, then that parent is a bad one. That was what Jonathan did. He lacked the will to move the nation forward just because of greed (second term) 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: CUPP: At 64, Nigeria A Crawling Giant Due To Bad Leaders, Tinubu's The Worst by Enice(m): 10:54am On Oct 01 |
OkCornel:They say "ignorance is bliss". As at the time Tinubu protested against subsidy removal, Tinubu acted based on what he knew at that time. He was not in government. Jonathan that was in government and had all the information/knowledge of government workings and the machinery to act, failed. Like I said earlier, it's like a child that wants to watch TV all day. As at that time of his/her life, that is the best decision and anyone telling him/her something contrary to that is wrong. When that child grows older and has knowledge, the child will know that that was the wrong thing then. But when the child, now a father fails to impact that knowledge on his child, then it becomes a failure. Jonathan was a failure in all sense of the word. It's not a crime to protest because you do so based on the knowledge you have at that time but it is criminal when you know that that issue will lead to chaos later and you still allow it to continue. |

Enice: On the bolded part of your response… So how can we reconcile this with Fayemi admitting that APC (ACN peeps to be more precise) politicians knew Jonathan did the right thing by removing subsidy but decided to play politics with the whole thing? https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/11-years-after-fayemi-admits-fuel-subsidy-protest-under-jonathan-was-mere-politics/?amp

surgical:An ignorant man will never agree he's ignorant. You think you have all the information on your palm! You lie! You don't. This same thing was what happened in 2013 or so, during the subsidy protest. You don't know shit and you don't know if you're a puppet on a string! So, stop saying you know something! You know nothing! Whether Tinubu is on the right track or not, time shall tell but to (me), he is because removal of subidy is a step in the right direction. Nigerians have been spoon-fed for so long a time that we think that government is responsible for us instead of the other way round. |

OkCornel:@the bolded. A father that can't discipline a child when he (the fathe)r knows it's the right thing to do is an idiot. If Jonathan believed that the right thing to do was to remove subsidy then why did he back down? That tells you that he's a bad leader and should be removed from office. Once a leader believes that he's doing the right thing, he should stand his ground. Jonathan was the one playing politics with our lives because as the leader then he had the last say. But second term greed did not allow him. Opposition will come even when you're doing the right thing but your ability to resist pressure from bad influence makes you a good leader |

Enice: Tinubu did the right thing by playing politics with the subsidy removal under Jonathan despite knowing the truth. Thanks for letting us know. Now… what is the progress made so far on Tinubu’s eight point agenda from August 2023? Are you aware he had a 3 year economic revival program touching on the areas below 1. food security; 2. poverty eradication; 3. growth, 4. job creation; 5. access to capital; 6. inclusion; 7. rule of law; and 8. fighting corruption https://punchng.com/translating-tinubus-8-point-agenda-to-recovery/?amp What about the 50 million jobs promised between 2023 to 2026? How many has Tinubu and his government created? https://www.nairaland.com/7821154/tinubu-sets-3-year-economic-revival What has been achieved so far in light of the above from August 2023 till date? |
