It’s supposed to be the work of Police to make such statement or apprehension. Who gave LASTMA power to arrest? If they couldn’t arrest them on the spot for committing the crime I don’t think they have the jurisdiction to do so based off a video.

Our institutions have failed.

In Lagos? They will unless no one drive the car in Lagos again

Ordinary traffic violation you will get a text message of infraction and your fine without anyone arresting you
Really? Since when? So all these idiots driving recklessly and violating traffic rules in Lagos will get a text and fine?

Imagine USA giving the public a statement on how they plan catching their criminals

So you think the US doesn't give out public statements like these while investigation is ongoing?
Your hatred for your country is blinding you.
Within seconds of this viral video being uploaded, MoT would have tracked down this vehicle based on number plate, the name address and all essential information.
Home arrest is done almost immediately after a warrant has been obtained.
If this stunt was done in Taraba or Zamfara, I can relate .but Lagos?
You must be silly upstairs

Under the Lagos State Traffic Reform Law as amended the State has the right thru her agencies and in conjunction with security apparatus to arrest traffic offenders and impound vehicles.
Be guided lest your ignorance is made public

Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue of all places? In a split second, that road will be blocked. LASG will use them to set an example. They should have gone to a less busy road or get a legal clearance from the authorities.

When places like iyana ejigbo, ikotun, aboru, ajegunle, ogba, agege, oshodi full dia..

It doesn't make sense comparing Nigeria to USA.

USA is over 300 yrs old and Nigeria is 64 yrs. USA is a developed country and Nigeria is not even a developing country but an under develop country.

Do you now get my point why I said the comparism doesn't make sense.
