Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 1:16pm On Oct 02 |
1k is not possible sadly because there are only 4 more tradings day on NASD till NGX listing (trading will halt Oct9 and t+3 inclusive of the weekend to list on the 14th), so assuming another 9% plus performance on each day we can see a listing price of ~800. I honestly expect to see some resistance perhaps next week though. #800 is essentially 16k. Those that got in around 4k have 4xed. Wonβt be a bad idea for them to take profit KarlTom: 1 Like |

I can see this happening. The fear I had with the PE firm looking to dump has been quenched as they have to find a strategic buyer for that huge volume but retail investors who have made huge profits and hold significant volume will likely want to exit on the NGX with improved liquidity. It is possible that it can decline once it lists on the NGX Willie2015: 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Capitas7: 1:56pm On Oct 02 |
Quick scan of the UBA HY financial reports particularly because of the comments about "deceitful" increased dividends from relatively lower profit. Here are my observations: 1. Topline: All income classes increased by over 100%. This would imply organic growth. 2. Bottomline: PBT was dragged down (403B to 401B) majorly because of (i) much reduced foreign exchange gain (95B compared to 418B) and (ii) higher operating expenses (312B compared to 140B). This would imply slowing forex opportunities and maybe reduced efficiency. Then income tax more than tripled to further increase the PAT margin when compared to 2023. 3. Cashflow statement is rather impressive than disappointing. 4. Paying N2 out of N8.9 EPS still leaves the group with N6.9 per share for half year only. This cannot be said to be fundamentally weak for a stock trading at N24-N28. 13 Likes 1 Share |

ndept: Quoted post trimmed for space purposes. Thank you Oga Kolaish for the mention. I'm still learning the ropes from your likes, and have a long way to go to merit your mention. I have read many posts from you and other old wines between 2014 and now - a lot to guide a younger fellow like me. Please don't answer this question if it endangers your security: Do you do real estate business in Ibadan, like developing? Your name is very familiar. I grew up in Oluyole estate extension and the 2008-2012 real estate boom in Elebu/Alaaka area on the Akala express axis made me know some developers from far off. May your son succeed in his studies and make you proud. He belongs in my generation I guess. All the best sir! 1 Like |

Now someone was shouting "Yahoo Oil", if to say na "Yahoo Oil" declare this type of Dividend, one month you won't see it to buy due to full bids...... Well, we see how the movement goes before qualification date anyway...... Ordinarily, UBA is supposed to settle at 30 or above.... It is well. π 6 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Tpharell: 2:55pm On Oct 02 |
yMcy56:He is clearly too emotionally inebriated about the Oando missed opportunity to see other opportunities. Though not likely in the immediate/foreseeable future, any such a jump of Oando to catch up with Seplat pricing will make for earlyretirement for many. But of course, even if such a black-swan opportunity turns up he will be too busy crying over spilt milk and doubling down on failure and still miss out. That person is clearly not out here to make money but to waste his and others time 1 Like |

It is well.Everyone must be on the same page on a stock...cabal thing. The concern should be why the company no wan bring results. It first brought out media hipe of figures. Then announced yeye reason again for delay in releasing results of 2023 over event that happened in 2024.Bring out the results let us be the judge of those figures I can't turn blind eye to truth because I am involved....never my style 3 Likes |

yMcy56: "It has a Certified Professional Reserves Report (CPR) from D&M, the second largest in the world, which has also been auditing ENI/NAOC, Chevron, Shell and other oil Majors for decades. With the CPR indicating Gross Recoverable 2p reserves on original 20 per cent Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) stake and new NAOC 20 per cent stake Net Present Value (NPV), (10 per cent is $2 billion respectively), total value of the company has now hit $4 billion, that is, before deduction of acquisition debt of the newly acquired company plus legacy debt. When appropriate discounts are applied, including working capital, Actual Net Asset Value (NAV) of company, less all long term debt, equity value is about $3 billion." so Oando don dey release result without releasing result hmmm na wa ooo Net equity value of $3b (after deducting all debt/ liabilities) hmmmmm which equals N4.8 trillion meaning at 12b outstanding shares equity value is N400/share God is watching all of us on 5D Is this signalling? 3 Likes 2 Shares |

If you're a newbie in equity investment and you have natural inclination for gambling;never you buy Oando to hold indefinitely, sell once you have doubled or tripled your initial stake. Subsequently, move your winning and invest in shares of dividend paying banks like Zenith,Access,GTB,UBA and Fidelity. Don't be carried away with the irrational exuberance of Oando shares! 7 Likes |
