Once upon a time and not too long ago, very few Nigerians featured for top clubs playing in the champs league, and the ones that did either chopped bench or played only cameo roles. Today we have players not only starting for some of the top clubs across Europe in the CL,but they're also the key players for these clubs...
Ademola- key player for Atalanta
Boniface- Now a key player for Bayer Leverkusen
Onyedika- key player/maestro for Club Brugge
Adeyemi- eligible for Nigeria and doing the business for Borussia Dortmund
Victor Olatunji- another player to watch out for
George Ilenikhena- rising profile

Nigerian football is slowly regaining it's glory back, na just bad administration and useless coaching dey worry us

Emery just schooled company sharpaly

Honestly you just showed you did not watch the game at all. If you did you will not use the term schooled. Bayern Munich were by far the better side.

I thought you guys said all Kompany needs to do is to fold his arms and allow the players do their thing.

Now you guys know the coach has to put in work to win. Makes you understand the work Kompany has put in to get the team firing.

Bayern Munich were amazing today. Emilliano Martinez pulled some brilliant saves to stop Bayern from winning. It was a nice game.

Fact is that you guys never really expected Kompany to do well. One loss and you are all dancing around the barbecue fire.

Leave all those Bayern Munich history thing. Next time you see a brilliant performance from Bayern Munich under Kompany, respect the work Kompany put in.

Finito.

What happened? The club administration did not do the work again?

Bayern Munich were brilliant today and really dominated Aston Villa. It was a clever goal and Aston Villa were nice on the break. Overall, Kompany was had a better coached sided than Emery and that says a lot.

Actually, I was over impressed with Kompany today. Get this today, I am more interested in how well a team plays over who won. I believe with time, the better playing side succeeds more.

Kompany has shown he is up there when it comes to coaching talent. To dominate Xabi Alonso last weekend, a coach I rate highly and dominate Emery today. He deserves respect.

Bro Bayern lost to Aston villa, not arsenal or Chelsea and you are talking about dominate. Even without coach was bayern not expected to dominate the game. Either with kompany or not with time bayern will always succeed more than Aston villa.

Bayern were unlucky not to convert their chances. That is all. Whether a small or big club, if you don't convert your chances, you can drop points. That is no more on the coach. They played well and dominated Aston Villa. Conversion is up to the players.

That is why you look at long term. Manchester City have been knocked out in competitions but in the long run, we have been one of the most successful clubs in recent history.

Football is dynamic and not static.

cc: Thiago Alcantara was in the stadium at Aston Villa yesterday to study Bayern Munich in preparation for the Barcelona vs Bayern Munich game coming up.

We should expect a cracker.

My early prediction is Bayern to win.

The better team won . Bayern have all the balls and did fuvck all with it . They should also thank the referee for not getting a well deserved red card .... Astonvilla were clearly better

Look at total shots and corner kicks to know which was the better side. You were claiming Aston Villa was better. Instead of explaining how you came up with that bogus claim, you have jumped to Arteta.

Look at these brilliant saves from Martinez that kept Aston Villa safe. There were still other chances.

But Real Madrid also lost yesterday by the same margin to Lille, with an even more experienced coach. How come no one is talking about that?

Those weren’t brilliant saves it’s a normal evening for Martinez

He’s the best goalkeeper in the world right now in my eyes

Imagine martinez with city or Liverpools type of defense damn

I am okay with watching Martinez make great saves but not comfortable with how he feels it is his birth right. He is so confident in the box. Bravo to him. He was just superb. I will try to watch more of him. He was just outstanding yesterday.
