When you go to buy land in a new site or lands area and they say this is the LAYOUT, what does LAYOUT mean exactly ?
does it mean street or road strictly? Or it has other more meanings?

No. I mean when they are talking to you and showing you, Where the plot of land is, or while showing you the Plot or plots of land. What exactly is layout on that instance?

For the layout to be useful, it has to be executed by means of "Setting out". Setting out means marking out on ground each plots and road as designed in the layout map.
So, when someone is showing you a plot and they used the word "layout". It means the plot they are showing you is according to the layout map.

Layout do not mean street in any way. I'm a professional land surveyor and I deal with these things almost every day and I've never for once hear anyone referring to street as layout.
As I said before, in the actual sense, a layout is a plan showing the location of plots, roads, parks, open spaces and other estate features. However, if what has been marked out on ground is equal to the design you have on layout plan, then you may hear some people referring to the set out plots and roads as layout.

So what do those Omoonile, land sellers, illiterate, and Agents Mean when they say, "layout leleyi" "Layout nibiyi", When pointing to a path or space in the ground that's not the land they are showing/you want to buy, neither is it another person's land... Just a small space in the road.

Yes, I know that Layout in actual sense means a plan showing details, that's what it means, in real definition.

Yes, we know definitely they are not using the right word, most likely. That is the pattern amongst local artisans and construction people.
That's why I'm opening this thread.

When they are referring to a space in the ground, that's beside a plot, in between plots of land, and is definitely not a plot of land in any way, they would say "Layout nibiyi", referring to that few metres width of road on the ground.. which is many atimes very long
Every single time, that's how they talk.

In your own case

A layout is a plan, graphically showing the features in the estate and their relationships, such as buildings, green area, drainage, road networks, estate facility building location etc

Attached is a typical layout.
Each colour represent an element.
For the attach image, the white color shows the road network, green represents green area,and the other prevalent colors represent the buildings.
