yMcy56: What's happening with Oando? Any positive developments? I need to replace my laptop. My budget has decreased from affording an HP to a low-midrange Lenovo. Is there a chance I will buy an Alienware? I have some great games I want to play. On a serious note, there are some people who bought all their high-end appliances and furniture from the market, including refrigerator, air conditioner, TV, bed, washing machine, oven, etc. I hope you're not among those who paid for this guy's comfort. |

Sunrisepebble: The govt is broke and needs money desperately. The upstream oil and gas companies (Aradel, Oando, Seplat etc) are the major hope for govt, hence they will receive all the necessary push and support to produce so the govt can make money. 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 4:05pm |
Tpharell: SEPLAT is moving oooo! None of the upstream oil and gas companies should be ignored. The govt will push them because it needs money. Aradel, Oando and Seplat should be watched closely 2 Likes |

On a serious note @ osita. That profit you posted from that revenue can not be right. Which kind baboon dey work monkey dey chop financial statement. And the 15 is not even right for cost. For naija it 45 and above. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ositadima1(m): 4:31pm |
Streetinvestor2: You may be right, that is why I also included an overhead cost of about 15%. I believe if I factor in that overhead, it will add another $15 per barrel, bringing the total to $30 per barrel. Keep in mind that there are still other costs in the spreadsheet that will likely push it beyond your estimated $45. Regarding the Nigerian share, I believe Nigeria takes about 60% of all production, and when you add taxes, 75% seems reasonable. The point is, if Oando are truly producing 100,000 barrels per day, Oando should be generating a very large profit after tax. |

ositadima1:I don't think naija takes the lion share in the crude business based on agreement with foreign ioc i know.Thr percentage for ioc is usually higher than naija own because is them that brings the fund and equipment for the whole process. I think naira takes like 40% or even less. And I don't think Oando will be doing more than 50000 for now too |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 5:10pm |
Raider76: I thank God for His mercies. What I forgot was the exit price, not the total proceed, which was sizable according to my modest entry fund. I'm not exactly a stranger to Oando JIJO. Infact I tease myself that I'm more of a newstrader than a stocktrader, and Oando is the top generator of tradable news on the NGX since the days of ConocoPhilips Acquisition. And watch out, we're yet to hear the last of Oando acquisitions and expansions, results or no results, as long as financial institutions are funding them. So, Gambling? It's never written on the "loot" . |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 9:07pm |
megawealth01: Strictly for the purpose of entertainment, Mega, let us examine this rumour. So, as "planned", on Oct 7, 2023, Hamas rocketed and invaded Israel, and committed all sorts of barbarities.. Then Israel invaded Gaza, targeting Hamas. Then Hezbollah started rocketing Israel, in Hamas support. Then Israel invaded Lebanon, hunting for Hezbollah. Then Iran rained rockets, missiles, drones etc on Israel, in Hezbollah support. At the time of this post, Israel was still contemplating the response to Iran, while Iran is promising a response to Israel's response. And all this to herd Bulls into the Market. Stock traders see every thing happening in the universe as heralding the arrival of Bulls to help Bnsitl make money. I am happy that even before the Bulls arrive, this type of conspiracy theory will, help some Bnsitl trapped in High-BP JIJOs find some hilarious relief. |
