My advise to Nigerian-American USA citizens or any USA citizen is to STOP marrying spouses from Nigeria or the 3rd World, good thing is that the practice is on the decline. If you MUST do it, keep the person in Nigeria. Most people in Nigeria have no good intentions for their USA spouse, they only want to get Green Card. It's just not safe anymore. I have MANY friends or acquaintances who did both and even me myself used one of those pathways. It's been a long time since I had to deal with immigration so I'm not as familiar with the system, but I believe my comments are accurate. USA immigration is too easy, too risky and detrimental to the society.

What the heck, anyone can simply stroll across the border and claim asylum and get thousands of dollars in welfare benefits...that is LITERALLY happening and has been happening for YEARS. Any children born on US soil by that illegal migrant is automatically a USA citizen. The whole thing is either suicidal or some people have a long term plan to destroy this country.

It is the reality. Best dîî/nwunye wey fit hasten up ur GC matter na citizen or highly skilled GC holder wey dey earn in 6figures. But if Ur nwunye/dï na GC holder & earns in 5figures he fit take > 2months.
If you marry come stay for 9ja for 2yrs, when u enter land of opportunities, them go knack you 10yrs GC straight which will be a smoother process to getting that blue pp. By the way, uncle na tall fine man in the built of Hanks Anuku of 2000s.

you're right am on a isa cr1/fiance visa Facebook group and a lot of women complain a lot about how their Nigerian spouses leave them after entering the USA.
A recent one is a 63 year old African American woman who filed a k1visa for a 53year old Nigerian man and the left her after getting married and spending just 4months with her, she claimed he went behind her back after her brain tumor surgery to claim vawa with a lawyer.

Let me burst your bubble, my friend told me she has tasted black & no going back. Told me she doesn't want to make the same mistake she made with her first 9ja husband (not actually her first because she has 3 kids from a fellow white American). I asked her what mistake, she told me the age difference was just a year, & after her last child she cut off her womb meaning she cannot give birth again. She didn't tell her 9ja husband about this, they tried severally, belle no enter. What did you expect a young man in his late 30s to do? I thank God the woman took the blame. She told me despite that, she will still marry a 9ja man & if no 9ja man then African. She even told me one-time to have kids, then she'll come for me knowing fully well I will not want kids again which she cannot have. By the way, she's just 41yo in a white dominated state/city.
Make I burst your bubble again. She's married again, this time to a Senegalese. I dey see her WhatsApp status everyday. So you can only wish they stop marrying from Africa, but they'll never stop, know this & know peace

It's not just women who are victimized. It's both genders. It's also Nigerians victimizing fellow Nigerians and that's the worst of it all. I've written about this thing on Nairaland, most Nigerian marriages I've observed in my over 30 years despite the ups and downs do work out well. However that has gradually changed in the case of spouses brought in from Nigeria.

Many Nigerian residents are so desperate to get out of the Zoo that marriage-for-deception has become far too common nowadays. It's basically a romance scam and the cold eyed ruthlessness is bone chilling. Everyone needs to be aware and defend themselves. I've said my bit. Those that have ears had better listen.
