basilico: You live in a nation where the main export is oil and don't understand how oil exploration and production work. Here is a chart of US oil production. You can even see when the agreement was reached. Yeah, that big drop around May 2020. I'm sure you can guess what happened to the prices then. Can you point me where on the chart you think Biden's policies caused a crash or hurt the price.? Trump makes you stupid. 2 Likes

basilico: You do know Republicans want to gut FEMA. So, if Republicans had their way, they would be getting 0. And the $750 is immediate relief to help people buy essential goods right now. They'll be able to apply for disaster relief funds and will probably get trailers/hotels and such to live in until their houses are sorted. Matt Gaetz Voted Against FEMA Funding Right Before Hurricane Helene Struck https://www.newsweek.com/matt-gaetz-voted-against-fema-funding-before-hurricane-helene-hit-1961501 You should probably make a list of what you think is important and write down who supports.. Well, that is if you really cared. But you're just a troll. |

IjeBos: Skirting issues. COVID brought down demand who don't know that. Biden and Kamala are anti oil, largely ceding control of production to OPEC through their war on oil. Long term deliberate efforts to get rid of oil don't lower short term prices you idiot . Saudi and Russia for years fought shale production because their economies are dependent on oil,Joe Biden aided them . Assured of oil control they are happy with higher prices at less production. Kamala thinks she can reduce demand of oil by promoting green energy. Who is the largest consumer of oil in America? 1 Like |

IjeBos: Did he have a reason to vote against FEMA funding ? If you had brains ,that's what you should have uncovered instead of going along with media excuses. Could this have been the reason why? This news comes after FEMA has spent hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on migrants due to Border Czar Kamala Harris’ open border instead of prioritizing funding for Americans impacted by disasters,' Gaetz wrote in a scathing letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Sec. Mayorkas on Friday. 'My office has been in contact with whistleblowers in numerous emergency-management functions at the federal, state, and local levels, and they all point to the same critical mismanagement issues.' 'FEMA has wasted taxpayer funds misappropriated funds, and left other federal, state, and local responders without deployment orders on the ground,' Gaetz, a close ally of ex-President Donald Trump, wrote. With over 200 Americans dead and the agency strapped for cash, FEMA's massive budget for illegal immigrants has come under scrutiny as a possible way to provide support to devastated U.S. citizens Musk weighed in on FEMA efforts to sabotage SpaceX engineers from providing help. In a series of explosive posts on X, the furious billionaire CEO revealed that his SpaceX engineers, who are on the ground providing vital communications and supplies via Starlink technology, are being blocked by FEMA from delivering lifesaving resources to victims in Asheville and surrounding areas. Was a helicopter pilot about to face charges for helping victims of the hurricane? Previously,, I stated here, anyone supporting Kamala here needs to have his head examined. 2 Likes |

budaatum: I'm not all gloom and doom . Ever written anything positive about Trump? I didn't have to bring up the Texas Exchange you know. I could be declared a far left liberal ,😚, if there is such a term, i'm told there is a liberal checker here, I'm glad to note you silently retired from your role as a grammar and homework teacher. It was infuriating, I must say. |

bemeruca: Politicking off the misery of people. Pelosi ( im using first name) was very happy with COVID. She loudly said it could be Trump's Katrina moment. Evidence of that appears to have been scrubbed off the internet by search engines. |
Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by IjeBos(m): 5:38am On Oct 05 |
basilico: Clearly you, Bemeruca and Raumdeuter don't know it because you guys keep saying Trump's policies were responsible for low gas prices. Again Trump negotiated the agreement that drastically cut Oil production because he said gas prices were too low. The oil production cut lead to an increase in the price of gas. Oil/Gas prices are an input cost for any good, so Trump's oil production cut caused some of the inflation post pandemic. So, Trump bears some responsibility for not only the high gas prices but also some of the inflation (globally as well, since the increase in oil prices was global). Here is Billionaire Marc Cuban explaining it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSrXinrvaEI&t=4s 1 Like |

IjeBos: After COVID recovery was never really the same. When oil dealers project low oil production arising from leftie efforts to kill oil , the prices shoot up. I bet you know that. The threat to limit production is driving prices up, coupled with OPEC drawing down on production. 1 Like

Those book deals worth millions of dollars esp by former govt officials, do publishing houses get their ROI? Ijebos Pathetic media attempts to lie. How is your bicycle workout today while watching MSNBC? https://x.com/WesternLensman/status/1842213117918429503 Western Lensman @WesternLensman NEW: MSNBC’s Lemire attacks Trump and @elonmusk for “spreading lies” about FEMA spending money on illegals, and now being unable to fund future disaster relief: “No evidence to support Trump's claims." DHS’ own figures and Mayorkas’ own apparently don't count as evidence to MSNBC. Incredible. These are the same people who want to censor 𝕏 for "spreading disinformation." Earlier today I stated FEMA spent $1Billion on illegals, I now provide receipts. From same link. budaatum: How does that represent MOST anti abortionist? It's like saying Osama represent most Moslems |
Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by budaatum: 2:34pm On Oct 05 |
raumdeuter: Most anti-abortionists are not just against abortion for themselves. In fact, they don't need to be anti-abortionists for themselves because they don't plan to abort. What they intend is to impose their anti-abortionism on others, same way Osama wanted to impose his form of whatever it was on others. So, I wouldn't say "It's like saying Osama represent most Moslems", but that most anti-abortionists are like Osama, and not so much in their terrorism, since most anti-abortionists are not terrorists, but in their desire to impose their will on others like Osama tried to do. That said. Let me share a conspiracy with you. I call it conspiracy so you are minded to consider it instead of mindlessly believe it. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/sep/08/abortion-us-religious-right-racial-segregation

Xavier5: Labels make life easy for some, as it's hard for most to understand some can chew and spit and gaggle at the same time. You'd be easier to hit without an AR15 if I can pigeon hole you with a single shot. Cheaper on brain use too. I love when I allah akbar Om jesus is lord, being the non-theist I am. Throw in some to be or not to be, and to most I'm shaking spears like abami eda in skirt. Its fun confusing the dim witted, must say, as it forces brain use or dodoisation. And no, I'm not talking about anyone here in particular, but people, generally. |

basilico: The myth of Donald Trump you created never fits with facts, so when you see data, you respond with gibberish. Here is the chart of US gas prices. Tell me when Trump's policies reduced gas prices. Was it prior to 2020 when they were dropping at the same rate as under Obama until they got really low because of Covid or was it after 2020 when Trump's negotiated production cuts took into effect and they started rising esp. after the economy opened back up. Show me any data point for Trump's magical policies that got prices low outside of his mismanagement of Covid. 1 Like 1 Share

Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by IjeBos(m): 4:29pm On Oct 05 |
budaatum: But, he is the one labeling himself. This whole discussion is predicated on him labeling himself a liberal. Liberalism is an ideology. An ideology has tenets/beliefs. Do you think if you don't align with those tenets/beliefs of an ideology, that you can say you are part of that ideology? I think words matter and that's how we can effectively communicate. He could have taken the stance you did. Just promoted his believes without choosing to label himself. His abortion stance reminds me of the "compassionate conservatism" of George W. Bush. Same ideas, now trying to sell it as liberalism. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by budaatum: 5:44pm On Oct 05 |
IjeBos:Have you not heard of humptydumtyism, where words mean exactly what one says they mean? It wouldn't be a thing if everyone lived by one recognised dictionary and word meaning. IjeBos:Like I can't call myself a Christian despite not loving my neighbour and murdering her husband whom I covet and not believing in Christ? I wish humans were that logical. You yourself mentioned Bush's "compassionate conservatism". I went further and looked up "fascist liberal" for its sake and was rather surprised, though its just the title of a book. Liberal conservative surprised me much less. I've after all heard some define liberalism as socialism, and even communism. Words may matter to one, but it is, in my opinion, illiberal to assume words matter or must matter equally to everyone else. Such thinking leaves no room for idiots and fools who don't know what words mean and those who just see things different to how oneself might. And I repeat. I'm not talking about anyone here in particular, but people, generally. |
Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is President-Elect! by IjeBos(m): 7:15pm On Oct 05 |
budaatum: All fair and well but at some point we have to have a generalized understanding of words to communicate. And I posit that if your arguments rests on "words mean what one says they mean", it's probably not a winning argument. but ey. But the issue isn't even what one chooses to call themselves. I don't care. But what I do see quite frequently nowadays are people saying stuff like "I'm a Democrat but" than take a 180 degree opposite stance. My antenna goes up when I hear that. Why can't one just argue their positions and views, without labeling themselves? |

IjeBos: Kept prices steady. Saudi and Russia were hell bent on killing fracking, but everyone heard him say Drill Baby Drill . They came up with innovative ways of horizontal drilling, eventually cutting fracking costs to a competitive level with Saudi. Saudi oil wells are cheap ,oil is not very deep, but they spend a lot to keep the population happy, while their Princes party, LovePeddler themselves out while drink alcohol in their palaces. Saudi oil is cheap but they can't go below a certain level for a long time. I guess you didn't know that |
