BowaleShow: They asked me oooo. Before then I thought they don't ask cos I haven't heard or seen anybody asked. However, I had more than enough money both in cash and bank account so I showed them. Don't know what would have happened if I didn't have the money. My advice to you is go with the complete money, don't take chances. Canada is becoming aggressive on immigration lately. 11 Likes |

While I understand the desire to encourage new immigrants, this your post is misleading… except the advertised video explained more(I didn’t watch it). (1) Hantie Pharmacist, did you just wake up and start to apply for digital marketing without the requisite experience and certification? I doubt you did…it would have helped to mention trainings/courses you did to set yourself up for success in the new field if your intention really is to help than refer to an unverifiable link/video(Click at your peril) (2) Wetin off me is the ‘money back guarantee’ no vex. Which one is it? The digital marketing training or actual job? You wan work for free before? Again misleading. Aadenike88: 3 Likes |

tenderjunkie: Wetaskiwin? Jesus Christ! Your friend could use Rentfaster+Wetaskiwin (maybe few houses are listed). Just that it is a very small remote county, so the landlords would unlikely rent to someone abroad. But try! |

Seems all jobs here require at least a Drivers License G. How do I go about it? The info I'm seeing online is too ambiguous. I have a drivers license from Nigeria but due to expire in October this year. Do I also need to have a personal car to acquire this license? Thanks. |

tunlex01: Mr director,How many Nigerians in Canada earn above 200k a year? Stop deceiving yourself and live your life so you don’t give yourself high blood pressure chasing unrealistic wages as a new immigrant! 4 Likes |

CsRockefeller: Not all jobs require a driver’s license. If a job does require a driver’s license, it doesn’t necessarily mean you need to own a car. Heard some companies provide work vehicles. Additionally, owning a car is not a requirement to obtain a driver’s license. 3 Likes |

Hello Everyone, I urgently need advice. So I'm trying to book my flight to Edmonton using Ethiopian Airlines and I can see that there are three stops. The first one at Addis Ababa, the second one in Rome and the last in Toronto, where I'll board a connecting flight to Edmonton. I'm a bit concerned about the one stopping for one hour at FCO Rome, because I don't know if I will need a transit visa. I've tried looking online but can't really see anything and it's my first time flying, that's why I'm a little concerned. Anyone who flew this route or knows about this, please help.

Clicked:It used to be Dublin. Now, it's Rome. You will likely be inside the plane and not descend. The plane, I think, is only stopping for refuelling. So, you have no reason to be worrying about transit visa. If you actually needed a transit visa, Ethiopian would have indicated it. https://onemileatatime.com/news/ethiopian-airlines-refueling-stop-rome/ 10 Likes |

affoncad: True, most managers do not earn 200k. Range is usually between 80-160k. Manager na just tag. Though some senior senior managers may get big bonuses and extra cash from profit sharing taking their total earnings above the 200k mark. I work in the health sector and we have Nigerian doctors, nurses earning 200k-500k 99% of them immigrated 15-30years ago.....make new immigrant chasing 6figures no kill themselves o. 100k is 68k at the end of the year 50k is 37k. 50k may get around 6-10k from the govt depending on family size. Taking total earning to 47k. 100k gets nothing.. 2 Likes |

Good day, I don't know if you still went with Concordia University. But I have a question please. I recently got admission to the Concordia in Montreal and I have accepted the admission. But it brings no place for me to pay the deposit. I've also emailed the school about it but no response yet. I would like to know if you also encountered the same problem. Jadue: |

AirBay:new immigrants want promotion every year ( associate director, manager , senior manager etc.) Now layoffs dey hit left right and centre. Everyone is watching his or her back 😭😂 We want to rush to buy house after 6 months in Canada despite not understanding the costs involved and interest rate risks. Last last you collect that 6 figures salary, lose out on most of the subsidies and benefits. And later see what government is using some of the taxes for 😂 1 Like |

Those nurses making 200K must be nursing practitioners. I have not met RNs making 200K. A hard working doctor will easily make 200K no matter when they migrate to Canada provided they are qualified and have full license. A family with $140,000 income may still get around $5,000 child care benefit a year. AirBay: |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by AirBay: 6:01pm On Oct 08 |
lanresz: RN (travel nurse) : Depending on experience. Some earn above 250k per year. 5k in which province.. |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by lanresz(m): 7:24pm On Oct 08 |
Whao. We learn each day. I only know RNs that won't consider traveling nurse option. The $5K a year is the Canada child benefit for a family of 4 with family income of $140K irrespective of the province they reside. One child is less than 6 and the other is between 6 and 12. The amount changes with age. AirBay: |
