It is only in Lagos that we collect another driving license called Lasdri.. and it is 8,000 per year. That is the highest form of extortion.

Lasdri card is not a driver's license.
Get educated.
It's a re-certification card.

Until motorists kill one vio official, the others no go hear word

And the motorist goes to jail for murder or executed and vehicle impounded and auctioned off.
Better rid yourself of such negativity..
I know you're talking out of pent up frustration but attacking govt officials carrying out their legitimate duties..you'll face the full extent of Lagos laws.

It is a federal high court that issued the judgement, therefore Lagos is bound by it! Any law made that is not in compliance with the Nigerian constitution is null and void… this is basic law for kindergartners.
This commissioner is clueless & not fit for office! They should appeal the judgement instead of stupidly coming out to spew thrash. That commissioner should be fired for his incompetence and reckless utterances. Until Lagosians start beating up these VIO officers for infringing on their rights against the subsisting judgement of court, things won’t change!

The Abuja high court made the determination using Nigeria constitution. If any state law clashes with the constitution, (I.e. runs contrary to the Nigeria constitution ) such state law is rendered null and void.

In this case, Lagos was trying to be half clever by testing the law. This was an affront to the Nigerian constitution which is supreme over all states law...
This is what happens a lawless and despicable man from there goes to mount the saddle.

That's because VIO exists only in Lagos. Cos I've never seen VIO on checkpoints outside Lagos. So telling them not to make arrests is like spoiling business for them.

Infact, they are exclusively made for the lagos mainland residents cos i rarely see all does agency on the island. Even the LASTMA officers are seen when there's an heavy traffic congestion.

Just to maintain IGR lagos state government keeps stressing out lagos residents since the day's of the evil cruel BAT regime.

If VIO cannot stop vehicles on the road as you ignorantly stated, then how are they supposed to inspect moving vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates?

They should also be empowered to issue road worthiness certificate to the various roads. They should not be damaging our vehicles with bad roads and still be extorting us by claiming our vehicles are not roadworthy.

You take your vehicle to VIS center to inspect and get your certificate. FRSC and police are the ones that have right to stop vehicles on the road.

This is exactly what DARTSi in Abuja said when people cited the ruling by a High court in Delta state banning VIO from stopping motorist & issuing fines..

The question is which lawyer is willing to defend the abuse of the Constitution by the agents of VIO in lagos state?

Who will take on Lagos state government & remind them that VIO is not a court of law to impose sentences & fines of the dear people of Nigeria resident in lagos?

Dear everyone, please forgive me for doing this but it seems that I have no choice. I'm typing this with tears in my eyes and with a very heavy heart. I'm doing this for my little girl who is asthmatic, I have exhausted my savings to buy her Seretide inhaler but at this point it has become too expensive to afford. I work two jobs to provide for my family but it never seem to be enough and as it stands I have exhausted all channels with which I can borrow money to buy it. It is sold for 18,500 but anything we can lay our hands on is perfectly okay please. Even 1k will go a long way to keep my baby girl alive please. Please my family, am on my knees, I am pleading for assistance to save my daughters life. I beg you in God's name please.. Any well meaning Nigerian whom God has touched their heart to help us, please help us. May the Almighty GOD bless all you lay your fingers on, amen.
