If you don't want to pay, don't carry excess luggage.
If you must carry, you either go and waybill it or pay for it as accompanied luggage.

You either pay to the right source and get your receipt or pay to these airport staff to cut corners.

Even at the motor parks, you pay for your excess luggage or you buy extra seat for your luggage.

I'm not an airport staff but we should respect everyone's place of work.

I don't have an idea about the workers welfare, but their rate of begging and extortion is so alarming and shameful.
If they are not begging you, they will be extorting you.
The last time I used the Airport, the Centra AC was not working, you cannot use their public toilet.
There are some area of the Airport that is smelling.
Many of their Security digital system are completely out of date.
That is why drug traffickers normally use the MMM Airport.
When you visit Cairo International airport Egypt, and Kenyan Nairobi Airport, one will ask why is Nigeria backwards.
I have transited in Cairo International airport many times.
Nigeria is richer than Egypt, but you cannot compare the 2 airport's.

I have used the Togo Lome Airport in 2017.
Though not to big by size, but is a very fine airport.
I also advised that our Airport staff go for go training to meet the global standard of modern day aviation.

Anywhere I go I speak out as well...... There was a time , I went to census office around babs animashaun in surulere to get some documents. The people there inflated the price to over 100% . I started voicing out . But some people there were saying naso we dey do am.
Right there , I called one of their boss on the phone . They thought I was joking . I passed them the phone , they started begging .... I eventually got the documents for free. They volunteered to pay for it . Because they know they lose their jobs .

Nigerians need to start speaking out......
