Hezbollah started a war with Israel on the 8th. They have been bombing Israel and attacking them for months. Israel warned Lebanon it would turn to Gaza if they didn't stop, but they refused; now Hezbollah is begging for an unconditional cease-fire as Israel keeps killing their leaders as soon as they appoint them.

Iran is next.

I think I saw somewhere that there is a Hezbollah big shot who refused to be the leader.
Iran is a different animal. The easiest way to end a war is eliminating the leaders. Israel should bomb every of six Khamenei palaces. He is the one ordering the wars .

Why should he? They don't last 3 days. Iran tried to deviate Israel's focus on Hezbollah the same way Hezbollah tried to deviate focus from Hamas. Their calculations are wrong. They felt Israel would be reluctant to fight on multiple fronts.

They should bring the whole world into this. Go after Iran's oil and nuclear sites. Destroy everything, and let's see how the nation survives the revolution that will arise.

Israel's allies like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and other Arab states should be ready.

It's my opinion that a lot of Iranians resent the Ayatollahs. Iranians are very educated , it has one the highest number of women in universities per Capita. The Ayatollah is just a cleric who is not there via popular mandate, he is a complete dictator.
If they took him out,or threatened his personal safety a good number of Iranians would party like there's no tomorrow.

Even before they were 30% of the population, they took Iran to a murderous path. The majority of Iranians want the regime gone.

This is the chance the West has to finally set Iran back 30 years, and hopefully, the Persians take back their country.
But you have cowards in the UK and France who are now being slowly strangled by the growing Islamic population in those countries.

I'm not considering that context.

Interesting. I can see lawyers exploiting these "sex instincts" to defend rapists. I wouldn't go there.

Lawyers can't exploit "sex instincts" to defend rape same way lawyers can't exploit "hunger instincts" to defend stealing food. Although some societies insist women must cover up from head to toe to avoid rape because they are of the belief that men cannot control their sex instincts.

I'm actually not pro-life. That's because I somewhat hold a nihilistic view of life in general. I also value life based on how it relates to me or my values. For example, If I were to press a lever that would save 5 Atheists, but doing so would lead to the demise of 1 million Muslims, I'd push the "save the Atheist" lever. You see. Pro-abortionists would call me a murderer but, I'm simply spinning their arguments against them. some people value the fetus just like I value Atheists.
I never really understood the rational of valuing a fetus more than the woman that is to suffer the pains and consequences of birthing, and then caring and raising the child. Anti abortionists have no stake whatsoever in the child outside primordial religious/moral sentiments. They are just like Muslims preventing others from eating just because they are fasting.

I'm not particularly arguing against abortion, I'm just trying to point out that the arguments for abortion, aside from that of rape and minors, aren't a solid one. Or, rather, not convincing.

Rape and minors are just minor reasons for abortion, the vast majority of abortions are by sexually active consenting women who got pregnant either through carelessness or failed family planning.

Can you answer this though, If an unborn child is not your "child" yet, why do all states agree to check for viability before even agreeing to contemplate carrying out an abortion on a 24-week-old fetus? Why not abort an 8-month-old fetus? why not just wait until delivery and then unalive the baby? We can go on and on about the metaphysics.
States have no business checking the viability of a fetus much less contemplate carrying out an abortion at any time in the pregnancy. That decision is to be left for the intending parents.

I have a cousin that had tried for decades to have conceive a child for her husband that had been married for 17 years. When she got pregnant at about 45 years of age, the doctor after scanning informed my cousin that the baby would suffer some sort of deformity and recommended abortion. She vehemently refused and insisted on birthing the child. The baby, a girl was born with slight deformity and autism. She and her husband provided the best medical care for the girl. Today the girl just celebrated her 30 year birthday.
States or governments deciding for a woman or a couple to abort their baby or not is an over reach, to me it's tyranny.

For example, see this act:

It's just semantics. So, there's no objective inherent value of human life. Maybe tomorrow, some people may want the right to unalive their fresh out of the womb child. who knows? At that time, today's pro-choice will be the pro-life. hahahaha.. Society!!

According to the legal definition of a person, the fetus become a person the moment it leaves the womb. Any unaliving then is regarded as murder.

What converted me to a strong pro choice advocate was when I saw a newborn floating on the lagos lagoon beside behind NPA on V/I. The baby was obviously birthed that morning and just thrown into the lagos lagoon. Thar memory traumatised me till date. I would rather the fetus be aborted early in the pregnancy than murder a fully born baby in the most gruesome manner. There are lots of examples of mothers dumping new born I'm dustbins and even soakaway. I believe the baby and mother need not go through these trauma.

Israel can't go it alone to the end with the Iranians, they need the west. Unfortunately oil has forced the west to be dependent on the middle east , the oic plays a huge role at the UN too.
Western liberal leaders also need the muslim votes @ home they balance their support to Israel and push the can down the road to the next leader.

Basilico, you have a skill. It is to dig stuff up. But your inability to measure with the brain in your head what you find before dumping it here just shows how stupidly braindead you are, and that's a pity. And worse is that it is actually disgustingly evil!

That's because hezbollah is a bigger threat to them than hamas. Look are what is happening to Hezbollah, precision intelligence is taking out their key leaders. Their weapons caches are being destroyed every day.

What about the assassination of Hamas leader in Iran? How about bombing a ammunition delivery in Syria?

How about the infiltration of hezbollah's supply chain?

Regarding the issue of intrinsic human value, I will address that next week when chanced. And unlike what IjeBos said, it's not a religious belief but a philosophical one. I uphold the belief, religion or no religion, and I will be addressing it from a philosophical lens, and not a religious lens.

Cut the Bullshit. Your argument was predicated on religion from the jump. It's an easy argument to recognize.
Is disingenuous not to be honest on the basis of your argument. You're being too clever by half.
It wasn't a surprise that one of your first "philosophical" arguments mentioned religion that Budaatum called out.

So it is the latter? As I thought.
You are obviously aware you are not a liberal but it serves your purposes to pretend you are to engage other liberals on abortion and other matters.
It would be a good technique if it weren't so obvious.
Question, where did you learn this? Was it self taught or was it in some church you belong?

Exactly. Their argument against abortions is purely religious, but the cloaked it in "philosophical" arguments.
This nebulous human intrinsic value is one of such arguments.
For example, when chairman Mao Zedong came to power in 1949, he encouraged large families and outlawed abortion and the use of contraception, urging women to produce offspring who would boost the workforce and the ranks of the People's Liberation Army. This policy caused the Chinese population to double from 500million to 1 billion in 30 years. When Deng Xiaoping took over the reins in 1978, he realises that to achieve economic growth, he had to control the population, and therefore restrict the population to 1.2 billion within the next 20 years. He hereby instituted the 1 child policy. This resulted hundreds of millions of abortions and forced sterilisation of both men and women. China achieved all its goals but has now created a new problem - aging population with no young ones to take over. They have reversed the one child policy once more. Without the one child policy, China's population would be closer to 2 billion by now. Intrinsic Human Values indeed.

Obrigardo:

Had to read this part thanks to budas response and I just shook my head.

Let's be objective. What gives you the right to say Abortion isn't the norm? I'm not attacking you, just asking a plain question. I'll guess your obvious answer would be your Religion.

More religions than you can think have nothing against abortion. Judaism is one. So if you want to be fair, why must you use your Religion to make laws for everyone and for a majority that don't ascribe to your Religion? Let's be honest here bro.

Religion clouds our minds and moves our focus away from our complex reality. Most women don't just decide to have an abortion like they are drinking water. There are lots of complexities involved. I believe those who say they are anti-abortion are afraid to grapple with the harsh reality of life.

Well, I'll allow those people who grapple with it to provide us with a response. Myself, I'm perplexed as to why Roe vs. Wade was overturned even though most people (except the white protestants) support abortion under certain circumstances.

All I've said so far is mostly pertaining to the metaphysical aspects of the pro-choice argument:

1) Women have the right to abort their babies.
2) Women need society to assist with the procedure, and that's where the issue comes from.
3) The woman and society each have their right to autonomy.
4) Thus, Society equally have the right to deny the women access to the procedure if it believes a fetus is equally human.

I don't include women who have to abort due to harsh realities of life, like rape, health issues, and so on.

It depends on who you ask. Some pro-choice will slap you if you talk to them about aborting a fetus with a beating heart. Some will slap you if you talk to them about aborting a fetus who's already kicking. In America, aborting baby during this stage will empty your bank account.

What converted me to a strong pro choice advocate was when I saw a newborn floating on the lagos lagoon beside behind NPA on V/I.
