SE got poorer under Buhari-IBB-Abacha but halved the poverty rate between the first four years of Obasanjo’s regime. Nigerians repeated Buhari’s poverty circle in 2015 and Bat is both IBB and Abacha put into one.

You means 10yrs after civil war, SE had the lowest poverty rate in Nigeria as at 1980? That's incredible

I told people that igbos will thrive more when there is an economic crisis. Let me explain, when there is a crisis in the jungle, the lower animals run helter skelter in chaos while the king of the jungle poach in ambush.

In the Nigeria of today and in the world, only very few nations thrive during recession and war. Now that petrol price has hit roof tops , because of the small landmass of the igbo nation, inter state transportation will not be excessively expensive, unlike large landmass states, thereby giving igbos an edge .

The interstate transport companies are all going towards gas while ivm has an electric alternative to petrol cars

Civil war was fought in Nigeria.
Places like Benue, Rivers, Kogi took a hit from that war, lgb0s claiming to be the vîctîms of the wàr they started as always.

Is it shocking? grin.... it even tells you that the reduced poverty level in the south west (most of which was due to Lagos) was most likely because of the igbos in the region.

The epicenter of the war was Nigeria, ur loud mouths are trying so hard to exonerate urseIves and make urseIves the vîctîms of what u started.
So many homes were lost in states like Benue, Rivers, Edo etc etc.
They are not crying like lgb0s doesn't mean they were not affected.
Children were separated from their parents.

I'm not claiming not to be a Yoruba, I am not a Yoruba, anyone calling ur sh*ts to ur face is a Yoruba.
From 2015-2022, anyone who called ur sh*TS to ur face was Hausa-fulani.
Today that person is Yoruba until the presidency leaves Yoruba land, if it lands in SS, u will redirect ur venom to SS.

You are asking which wàr hit Benue and Kogi?
Someone who reads on history won't be asking this question to be honest.
For your second question, are you sure you are in tune with the discussion?

One of the reasons.for low poverty level in south east then was that there were not existing powerful technologies that could detect illegal drug smuggling. Some of the earlier Biafrans actually succeeded in drug dealing and baby factory unnoticed. This account for parts of the reasons business got attention among the male folks than females. Every focus for men then was being business tycoons. Those that succeeded early enough in drug dealing in Biafra land were parts of encouragement for younger men then to go into business import and export.

A man will be using slippers as coverup while illegal drug dealing is at background. It was in modern time that technology started exposing those dubious acts especially as those who escaped sore of Nigeria got arrested abroad to tarnish Nigeria name. Due to this, government strengthen security by investing in sophisticated technologies which indirectly started boosting poverty.

Another contribution to contemporary poverty increase is ekpa and kanu contributions to the Biafra land which has forced many businesses to shot down as ipob burn properties of business owners and enforces sit at home which make many to loose customers and gain poverty

If you had gone to a good school you would have known how stupid this your defence sounds but I forgive you, free education is is hardly of any quality. How come with all the skullarship and human parts dealership, your poverty rate has not improved? Do you know what it means for SE to have over 80% of its population living above poverty line?

Do you know the region in Nigeria today where half of its Governors have history of being jailed for drug and crime?

transportation in the south east is always more expensive than other regions. Onitsha to Agbor is 76km
While Awka to enugu is 81 km. Only difference of 5km.

But onitsha to Agbor is ₦2,000 while Awka to enugu is ₦4,500

Y’all are just shameless tribalistic hatefilled souls.
No Nwafor will come out to tell You He is better than anyone all We do is go out there and do the doings of Odogwu.
As We fall in Standards are raised which should in turn make room for healthy socio-economic competition.

Aside the rubbish tribalism you do here with your ipob counterparts,go to the Igbo communities in MB,North, outside Nigeria,Benin republic,Ghana,Togo,Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau,Gabon etc and see for yourself.

There’s uniqueness in every Tribe ours can actually make Nigeria better in terms of productivity but ofcus We are not ready to have a Country, let’s keep playing politics for now, but be rest assured that from the grassroots level Ndigbo will survive just fine.

That was my first observation too. Igbos are indeed whoever they say they’re!

Also, notice they’ve consistently had the least incidence of poverty. Even in other regions, they’re also relatively better than locals economically, so they also help to improve other regions score.
