shocked Sincerely wish the two retiring bishops well. I have listened to them a lot in the past. They are great individuals.
I believe the retirement is an opportunity for them to start their own outreaches, one from which no man will retire them from.
I feel it’s unfair, the retirement, but wot do I know? Am not a Christian!

If Abioye is out, who is the empire being handed to? I hope Oyedepo is not thinking of giving it to his wife because it will be the decline of the ministry.
Hehehe. He is retiring them because he himself is about to retire and handing over to any of them is not a possibility. Family business must continue.

I am not a member. I am a true Winner and a disciple. Served as unit head in a foreign mission as well. Was part of those who built one of the new churches that started in 2017 and now a blossoming branch. There are loads of guys who worked with us who gave their sweat and blood for the ministry.

Mike, who worked in a block industry for months to purchase equipment with his own money. Now an owner of several block industries and at least 2 houses. Oluwa, who furnished the whole church with her money. A retired Naija soldier who used to walk the streets evangelizing Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are many I cannot count, including those who rehabbed many Naija Yahoo boys and runs girls who were languishing in prison.

These are the real people who put in their effort to ensure that God's Word was heard through that young Winners satellite church with tangible proofs. Their lives have all changed for the better. These people are people I worked with and I salute them. When I left that country to Barbados, I cried. These are the real Winners, not those who claim they are members.

I have nothing to do with people who claim to be "members" but who have probably never even read The Mandate.

You are a rebel. Like Korah, you will perish except you repent. I have nothing to do with people like you or anyone else who is a winner by sticker, not a Winner at heart. Church is a mixed multitude. There are many MEMBERS, but very few DISCIPLES.

I do not expect you to understand, but I will try to explain. You can choose to throw what I have said away, fine. But I will say it.

This is the first set of generational change in Winners. The present crop of young ministers are in their 40s. It makes a lot of sense to still have the old guard (who are between 63 years and 70 years) to still be in the background providing guidance. If there is a misstep anywhere, there is room for correction. Someone like Bishop Abioye has been there from the beginning: since 1981. FORTY-FOUR YEARS. For goodness sake, do you want them still preaching at 90 years like Bishop Frederick KC Price, or at 80 years like Charles Stanley?

Many of the vice presidents of Living Faith, the ones in charge of local missions, foreign missions, WSF, etc, are all at the retirement age or close to it. By making the leadership now a maximum of 14 years in tenure, those who take over the leaders who are currently in their 40s, will be close to 58 (if not already at 58) by the time 14 years is over. Then a new set takes over. That is how you put a system in place to avoid the kind of succession chaos that almost took over Benson Idahosa's church, Synagogue when TB Joshua died, and SBJ Oschoffa's Celestial church when he died in 1985.

Look at the secular world where you have leaders like Paul Biya who is 90 years. No plan for succession. If he goes, who takes over? Who provides guidance to the younger rulers?

Look at Dangote. He is now 67 years. He has realized age is no longer on his side. He has brought in his daughter and she is now part of the team. He is still there providing guidance. When he is out of the scene totally, she would have found her feet totally.

True leaders put in place proper succession structures so there is no chaos when they are gone. Winners has a clearly spelt out process in the constitution of the church, THE MANDATE.

Sadly, many so-called members of the church have never even read it.

My Brother, if you are Christian, you will not be angry and threatenedme with death as punishment. Ask yourself, which do you believe, Mandate or Bible?

All those you have listed above succeeded not because they mopped the church floor but by grit and determination to succeed. Because for every 4 members you listed above , there are thousands of other members who couldn't make it pass 20k a month 'achievement' who not invested sweat and blood but all of themselves.

Long time ago, I have conditioned myself to listen to men to comprehend and audit their motive.

According to the revised Mandate, the new age of retirement which was formerly 60 is now 58. Only the Founder will have the privilege of a lifetime of service after which every future leader of the Commission will serve for one term or a maximum of 2 terms of 7 years

Hope this is not lost on you. It's business, man.

Just talking anyhow. The rules are clear in the church's constitution known as the Mandate. Even Papa Oyedepo, having reached the age of 70 years, will exit the scene as the overall head. He will be in a supervisory role. Adeboye did same in Redeemed some years back. Many pastors who headed regional offices of the church like Titus Olayemi Oludairo have retired since.

The leadership is now tenured.

And you support the nonsense. Adepoye still preaches. That was forced by government. Give me one reason the constitution wants them to resign. What is the rationale?

On the other hand, Bishop Aremu who joined the ministry full-time after serving as an accountant in secular organizations is the only one among the 7 Bishops consecrated in November 1999 at Garden of Faith, Kaduna that have remained till date.

I really will like to know the names of the other 6 bishops who left the ministry and where they are today.

Did they fall by the way side?

Open new business centers (aka churches) where they would be CEOs?

What happened to them really?

The church was founded by Oyedepo bro and if you can build such religion stardom and retire for one opportunist to take over and ruins it then good luck to you.

Moses, Elijah etc never retired serving God. Serving God is a lifetime engagement.
