Why government be like this?

Almost half of that list is "Under construction" or "Inactive"

And yet they listed it there.

So people should queue there while it is still under construction?

Why?

Electric/solar cars are way cheaper

Electric /solar cars are cheaper

Sorry chief, but You have missed it completely here

A complete car is cheaper than a conversion kit?

They are selling brand new Chinese Evs at 30m plus, last time I checked.

Also Moving to electric cars is far more difficult because the charging infrastructure is not here and will require significant cost.

Don't let anyone lie to you that they can deploy solar infrastructure to charge cars

I am on a project involving fast chargers. This charger for cars is rated 60kw which is 72kva. This van charge a car in 30 minutes. The charger for the bus is rated 280kva. So if you have 10 buses you want to charge you will need serious power infrastructure which Nigeria does not have.

Just the cable alone to the charger from power source is over 15 million naira.

The best you can do with solar power for Evs is small vehicles okada, Marwa korope. And small cars. Anything above that and your initial cost will kill you.

If you are going for simple numbers cng is far more cost effective and cheaper than Evs.

Remember that you have to pay for the electricity you use to charge the car.

For a cng service station, drop a skid in an existing station, run the pipes in a channel and you can be up in two days.

Infact, i expected politicians to be lobbying for these jobs to be channelled to Africa. I met a guy in Aba. The company he works for are in partnership with a Turkey company. They manufacture furnitures for them CKD style. Then send it to Turkey, those ones finishes the product and send it back to Africa for sale as Imported Turkey Furniture. Something that was made in Aba

Infact, we need to they find these jobs wey dem wan throwaway sef

Wetin we wan use all these ones do now?

I just don’t see transparency in listing centres that are inactive and under construction.

We can actually produce all these materials here which will be cheaper
Buying overseas will surely make them expensive especially with our naira

Tpain admin has knocked off import duty on cng and ev related materials. Or maybe it is vat. I have forgotten.

People are actually working on this. And let me tell you, if you are worried about cng then you should be frightened about electic vehicles. And their lithium batteries.

Even in the west they have not figured out how to tackle lithium battery fires. They literally have to let them burn out over days. And lithium is subject to a phenomenon called thermal runway which we saw very well with those Samsung 9s.

Or maybe those call seller can start importing CNG cars also. I doubt average Nigerians can afford to buy new cars produced in Nigeria without any financing structures.

FG say make people convert to CNG as its cheaper but it cost from around 950k upward for the conversion kit.

Come be like say na whine them dey whine us

Na big whining dem dey whine us.

Aside companies and few private individuals, majority of Nigerians don't buy new vehicles simple because they can't afford it. Only people that have ajeseku will cough out 950k to convert vehicle to CNG when u are not even sure if the vehicle will develop complications after conversion.

Are you sure you're not confusing Civil Defence with Road Safety?

Road Safety have never been allowed to carry firearms as far as I'm aware.

Well, this has always been the norm in public secondary schools even during my time in secondary school . I can't speak for other states , but I know public secondary in Lagos are wild like that.

Incidents of different secondary school students clashing are normal occurrence especially towards the end of the term and during special occasions like Inter-house sports. When such fights happen, u will see on display different dangerous weapons like planks, butcher knives, machetes, battle axe, etc.

Most of those people who engage in such fights during my time in secondary school turned out to be either NURTW guys, Okada riders, cultists and even worse.
