The chancellor of Covenant University, Bishop David Oyedepo, said on Friday that since the inception of the institution, he has not earned any wages.

Oyedepo, who is the founder of Living Faith Church, disclosed this during Covenant University’s 19th convocation.

The clergyman stressed that the success stories and personal growth of the students have been his true rewards.

During the event, the institution conferred first and higher degrees and presented prizes to a total of 1,607 graduates.

Oyedepo highlighted their contributions to various sectors such as aviation, fashion, banking, and ICT.

“I said this before God. I have not earned any wages from Covenant University since its inception. Your testimonies of success and breakthroughs in different fields of endeavour have been my earnings and wages.

“You are created to be a contributor. Find a place to contribute. You cannot be a contributor and be a failure. You will be part of the solution and not those who are problems,” he said.

The reward for business/entrepreneurship is PROFIT. He may NOT be drawing wages but Covenant University is still a business that makes CRAZY profit.

It's a WORLD-CLASS institution and the students pay DEARLY for it.

They attack a 90 years old man for not protesting for them years after he went to prison for them.
Despite the fact that the things fall apart man never protested for any good cause while alive.

Believe him at your own peril. You think because the institution is called a non profit organization it doesn't make profit right?
Just look at the number of student and revenue generated per unit cost from each student then you'll realize they make huge profits. I'll have believed him if the school fees was low

You have to be a business owner to understand him. Growing up, my mom would say this same thing about her business. Then she'd say the only "profit" is how much she spent on us (her children). To think those were profits from the same business smiley
