Nawa o grin

I was already dreaming of driving a CNG powered vehicle grin

Something must be preventing the adoption of CNG here because I can't seem to explain it. Even in the conversion program of the government, PH is in the second batch which is strange.
This port Harcourt own be like say na politics oo, because i don't understand why we don't have the stations here and the funny part is that i see those trucks transporting cng almost everyday. Even nasarawa that have mainly bikes and very few cars grin have cng station. Much respect boss.

The largest producer of CNG in Nigeria (Greenville) is actually located on East/West road.

I am surprised there is no CNG station in the whole of Rivers

Let me pontificate this.. guy forget the hype in peoples comments sounding they are making it big driving for bolt. majority of them are still struggling.. If you are observant, most of them are in Abuja, Lagos and PH .. bolt fares there are allittle bit equitable in other words reasonable compared to other states in Nigeria. And if you dare try to make this figures been posted by that uncultured cerebral palsy patient called pearl, when your car calls for maintenance no body is coming to help you out..

Thanks a lot for the explanation.
I live in Lagos although I haven’t been doing it for a while now but when I resumed about 2 days ago, I even struggle to take home 15k after expenses… that’s not profitable at all because it can’t even cover for vehicle maintenance. Why are e hailing companies sacrificing their drivers to please customers ? I thought they’re meant to review the fares due to inflation and fuel cost ?

Then boycott the app and use bolt or uber......simple!

I wish all drivers can leave that app......walai, their brain go reset.

Got a trip from that yaba train station yesterday morning to lekki phase 1. Bolt showed 11k. They gave rider bonus of 1600. I checked on indrive and saw 6600.....which will still be reduced!

Nonsense app! They already told you guys they are fighting "injustice"

My last trip on bolt yesterday, 20 mins from Anthony village to kilo 7800, 800 bonus. The guy sef shock. It was 3200 on indrive

I outrightly don’t think indrive is the problem, but drivers. A day before yesterday, I saw price on Indrive switching high, because there was no driver to pick them. I was tempted to as Omoapena if he made same thing yesterday. Bolt price remain shitty without surge. It’s just a matter of time before we can have the real value of things. Bolt is leading right now, but I won’t put indrive down totally.

If only drivers can learn to ignore trips on indrive

Omoh imagine driving for 20mins in Lagos and the fare is 7800?? ( This might be fallacy of deception) Ahhh. In Benin city if you manage to get 7800 on bolt comfort for 1hr drive you go thanks God honestly.. this is what I have been pondering on this trend. It's favors more in Lagos , Abj and Ph.. thats why you guys ain't kvetching. Anyway that doesn't mean in the long run majority of you are catching out.. you manage and struggling to get 20k net enter house doesn't mean you can achieved that constantly every day.. now when major maintenance calls you go know say bolt work now modern day thraldom

Bolt owners are there enriching their selves and protecting their riders, while drivers are fed with crumbs... don't put too much efforts thinking you can make it massively on bolt drive.. just make it a side hustle when u finally get a better job. Now when major maintenance for ur car calls. You go know say now time u dey waste driving for bolt. Drivers are livingin their prior greatness

Total you will get on this trip is 4500. Who told you can’t pick 6500 on indrive? And get like 5800. I just feel drivers should learn to use bolt app and understand when a trip is worth it.

Golden speech
Pearl1910:

Nothing special to be honest... I have been singing it here for many years.
1. U have to be prepared to work hard, start early and close late.
2. Avoid traffic as much as u can. Traffic is a time waster. Medium trips in the morning and evening within VI, Lekki Phase 1, Ikeja, Yaba etc rather than enter long trip and meet traffic.
In the evening rush hour, I would rather do VI to Yaba and back to VI/Lekki. Or VI to Phase 1 and back to VI, than enter 2hrs traffic on Vi to Ogba or VI to Ajah.
Although traffic is not much again now, so u can always check ur gmap before u decide whether to take the trip or not.
3. Except it's a very long surge and juicy trip, Don't take trip to where u will not easily get a trip back from. I will rather do 3, N2,000 trips each within VI than do VI to Sangotedo or VI to Satellite town for 10k. Sometimes back to back short short trips pay more than long trip that's is not back to back.
4. Master residential and commercial area dynamics very well to know how to position yourself and were to accept trips to per time.
5. Target long trips when u r against traffic.
6. Avoid corner corner roads like Ejigbo, Alimosho, Agege axis. U will spend time on the trip but cover shorter distance.
7. Balance your time, and your fuel consumption to maximize profits. If u stay too long and u aren't getting a good trip, Instead of driving empty to reposition yourself, u can take a "silly" trip which can cover your fuel cost. E.g u have stayed in GRA for too long and u begin to think of repositioning, u can accept a trip from Isaac John to opebi or allen. Just so your time wasted is not completely invain. Some people will rather drive empty than pick a short trip. That mindset has to change in this era of expensive fuel.
8. Never do big boy for bonus, if u can chop it, then gladly go for it. U know how difficult it is to make 10k so if u see 10k or 5k bonus, don't joke with it.
9. Don't be distracted when u see trip to Christ embassy/Redeem camp, Ota, Ibeju or Agbara for big money. U may end up regretting taking the trip as d energy, fuel and time u will waste to get back to civilization will not b worth the fare trip. Although, sometimes u can be lucky to get a return trip back to town from outskirts.
10. Don't overspeed, don't accelerate sharply, drive carefully and gently, I don't exceed 80km/hr even on third mainland bridge on a Sunday morning. If u drive speed, u waste more fuel and arrive earlier, double loss to you.
11. Stick to the "L" shaped trunk of Lagos metropolis. From Berger to Chevron. U can cherry pick other destinations occasionally especially public holidays or weekends.
12. All these points can be very subjective to particular timing and circumstances, it can also be a function of luck and God's grace.

Typically, most people learn from personal experience so someone will still read this and take a trip to Igboelerin, then come to d thread and lament "I have been here since 2hrs, I no see trip, is there something wrong with my app, what can I do to get out of here?"

Finding a job isn't as easy as it seems, trust me. I don't know his qualifications or age group, but I doubt he'll find the level of income and freedom he's looking for in a typical 9-to-5 job.

I recommend he either find a way to succeed in the e-hailing business he is used to or explore other ventures. Transitioning from running a business to job hunting can be challenging.
