All you need is a one year training in the country's law school, and you will be called to their Bar. Same thing is applicable in Nigeria for foreign law graduates.

Across the world, studies upon studies have revealed that quant courses lead to higher earnings in one's career than non-quant courses. So, it is a fact, not just an opinion whether they go on to become wealthier in life (their chances are already higher because of higher earnings) is moot. Fact is: they earn higher in the labour market.

What will you now say about uneducated people that becomes rich in life, since they don't have formal education?

Civil Engineering.

The fact is, everything depends on God Almighty via destiny and grace.

It's not by studying law; it's being smart enough to milk from different legal problems in the society. Your law lecturers cannot teach you how to make money using the law, rather they only teach you the law.

You don't have to be connected or come from a well-to-do family to break even in the legal profession. All you need is LL.B and B.L with a touch of smartness— either being streetwise.

Remember, your grades in school doesn't matter in the legal practice. Passing your exams is different from legal advocacy. Hence, a smart lawyer is better than an intelligent lawyer.

With "intelligence", you can interpret the law and still remain penniless. But with "smartness", you can interpret the law, and milk from every legal situation.

I couldn't agree more. Ab initio, my law practice provided the money for my business venture, and now it's doing incredibly well. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy practicing law, but financially, it can't compete, especially in today's economy. You know how this thing go in our country now?

Yeah, no profession can compete with today's economy, and that's the reason you should have a secondary source of income. Aside from legal practice, and I am also a farmer and a car dealer.

My bone of contention or argument is the saying that lawyers are poor. It is acceptable to say that you may not become wealthy as a lawyer, but not to say you cannot be comfortable. And that's the more reason folks like us find another hustle to augment the legal profession.
