I think I would just ignore him. His response is replete of someone who either has extremely poor judgment or who is very ignorant of the consequences at hand, and I don't mean this condescendingly.

Experience has taught us that things like maintenance work on IT infrastructure are inevitable. The come from time to time. For the security and safety of every one, man just have to do it and live with it.
This is even bigger than maintenance work, this is a full service change. Anything can go wrong during migration.
Even gtbank staff will have to learn how to use this new application. Things like this are really complex

Most Nigerian banks are not just reliable in terms of service delivery and technology. Surprisingly, Wema Bank, one of the most underrated banks in Nigeria, has always kept me moving both within and outside Nigeria. They have their shortcomings too, no doubt about it, but their service is somewhat reliable compared to many of these so-called 'posh banks.'

The way people underrate Wema ehn needs to be studied. That bank is one of the best, never disappointed me.

I was expecting comments like this from dumb fools like you. No need to talk too much. Let's settle this by posting how much you make a month and I'll post mine. If you can't do this, be silent forever.

Guaranteed thrash banking. Upgrade that causes massive service disruptions, some robust software indeed!

I agree. If you don't want to be stranded in the future, then don't bank at all.

Join the unbanked. It's okay. Not a crime.

But as long as you are among those who use banking services, then you must encounter things like this from time to time. Whether you bank with GT or First bank or Wema or Zenith. They all rely of IT infrastructure that often get exploited with new tools and discoveries. It is in their best interest and yours, too, to get protected.

Don't be surprised that this new app migration might be more vulnerable than the one the migrated from, but it is what it is, change has to be made. Man has to be on the lookout for different "better" options always.

They already informed their customers about it na.

The Wise ones would have removed their money elsewhere.

It's not a good idea to have only one account

Since Thursday I moved my funds from GTb to other bank accounts, no time to be wailing in this harsh economy.
I saw their communication and quickly acted.

Have like five banks accounts and spread your money all over them incase they want to fuckkk up

Exactly what I did....I have zenith account, wema account, stanbic account, UbA, first bank
If any one decides to mumu itself then I switch..those are pics of my 6 bank cards..I pick any one way their bank get network...

Same thing I did with telecoms I have airtel, glo mtn and Etisalat

Same thing I do with me ladies...I have grace, I have victory I have blessing

What a useless bank.... Imagine this useless bank made me look so miserable and hopeless today despite having money in their fucking account.
Thank God for firstbank that came to my rescue when this useless bank wanted to disgrace their father.

Opay was equally unuseful in times like this.

They gave us the time they needed (11hrs) and we planned around that but now its taken over 24hrs. Don't you think that is a breach on their part and the notice holds no water again

Gtbank is experiencing service disruption and customers are complaining bitterly.

Guaranty Trust bank had earlier announced that their digital services will be unavailable due to their "Transition To A New And Robust Core Banking Application System".

Meanwhile, customers have taken to social media to call out Gtbank over mobile app failure.

Very sad, wicked and irresponsible bank.

I bank with them and supprisingly, as the APP finally opened this evening, I'm seeing a credit alert of N376k from a name I know nothing about. I know it's not my money so I can't tamper with it.

Why do I feel like the banks are working to align their accounts with the Federal Computing Systems, so they can track transactions...and they are lying about system maintenance. GTBank is still down. This is not normal. Zenith did one too...Sterling. I think we can all agree this govt is installing some things to better salvage the system and eliminate fraud....maybe Banks to CBN for Forex Trading and registration. This is my own conspiracy theory.
