The clown below me doesn't even have common strength to confirm if this is 1937 by just doing a little search about the author of the book.

No wonder Tinubu is the best thing after jollof for you guys.. Too lazy and arrogant.

That doesn't look like 1937 items.
I'm seeing stainless steel instead of calabash
That doesnt look like the kind of things u find in a mud house.
Slave trade ended in 1940, this man should tell us what he exports from Nigeria for him to import things that only our slave masters could buy.

But the eternal propogandists said that the easterners were walking around naked and were behaving like the Hadeze tribe at this time in history? Thanks to the Internet for all the revelations

The little kid on that picture probably would have been dead by now. That's life for you!

Take care of yourself, eat well and live healthy. No dey give Woman your money again, spend that money on yourself and upgrade yourself. Wear good clothes, shoes etc. Why would a normal guy buy clothes, bags, phone for a girl only to make her look attractive for other men to have her while he looks unkempt like a fuuul?

Nobody really cares about you. If you die today the world will simply move on, and so would that girl you're killing yourself to impress

No, they are not nearly as fine as those ones in the pic.
Also electric torch came to Nigeria late, we used one kind lantern with glass. electric torch was recent.
Also 1930's pictures are not this sharp, the white colours of 1930 pics are tanned

Most of Duckworth work are usually tagged 1930 - 1972

I doubt if that picture up there was taken in the 1930s. Duckworth himself was comer inspection of education in Nigeria between 1930 and 1953.

Some probably just took the photo and slammed a 1937 date on it to mislead the unsuspecting public.

No, I was born in the 90s and I know the kind of cup we used, they are not nearly as fine as those ones in the pic.
Also electric torch came to Nigeria early 2000s, we used steel lamps with glass gloves with kerosene in the 90s before battery torches. electric torch was recent
who be this guy? grin

Growing up in the 80s everybody owned battery torches in my neighborhood.. I've read 20s and 30s American novels where use if torch lights were mentioned.. life didn't just start with your birth in the 90s

You can't stomach the fact that easterners were already exposed and gaining developmental momentum as at early 30s.. a big smash to the notions handed down to you and which u love to cling to ..that easterners still had vestigial tails and hopping around trees at that time grin

Even the so called electric torch u are referring to now have inbuilt cells to store electric charge... Hence u charge it wen the battery is low
