You can ask Abia state government, I am not from Abia & I don't live in Abia

Now back to the topic, development of state will not increase purchasing power of naira

Go back, read my post & correct yourself

If you have any problem with any state government, write them yourself

It's obvious you know nothing about economic development.....let me help you in layman terms, economic development is a bottom up approach and not the other way round.

If your state can produce enough agri produce to boost food security, prices of food would come down also if There is enough for export, the country earns foreign exchange and can somewhat affect the price of the dollar.....the FG owns no land according to our constitution.

When a countries currency is devalued,it makes your export cheaper and and disinsentivise imports....it's now cheaper for Europe to buy palm oil from Nigeria than to buy from Malaysia but the question is is Nigeria producing enough? Same for cashew, ginger sesame, yam, cassava etc.

Now you see why state govs need to key into these opportunities by aggressively empowering farmers with inputs, machineries and processing plants also providing social amenities like roads, irrigation, education and health care in this rural communities where most of this farming takes place but what are the govs doing, embezzling and mid appropriating funds for their selfish interests and will be telling you to face Abuja and leave them alone despite all the allocations get.

Abeg mention those places where I can buy foodstuffs at affordable rates

I buy from Bodija market but would like to know where I can get it at cheaper rates

I have never come across any market dedicated to low salary earners 😂

It depends what you are looking for and what you want to eat? I haven't seen anyone drop dead from starvation......poverty is relative, yes Nigerians may be poorer but there are far less homeless people in Nigeria than you have in Europe.

You can still get your basics covered and cut down on luxuries or wants but focusing on your needs, then focus on being more productive to earn more.

This is loud.....

But the taxes and high cost of living alongside inflation will render the minimum wage useless......

After all, how many percentage of Lagosians are civil servants...

But we appreciate his efforts and so far, Lagos state remains the center of excellence....
💯

Good one LASG. Congrats to all my former colleagues!

Lies! Post a payslip as proof, Lagos state staff love to suffer in silence, they won't talk now.
Lies? Lol angry.. Well I don't blame you! Goodnews is always lie to you.

Lagos state civil service is the best catered for in the country.. Great office infrastructure (just like private companies), staff bus, prompt salary payments before month end, Regular Trainings both local and foriegn, allowances, little/non interest loans, regular Pensions etc.

I worked there for years (before going abroad to further studies), So i know first hand!

Don't let ignorance consume you.

It's advisable to earn in Lagos but it's not advisable to spend in Lagos.

Make your money in Lagos but spend your money in a less expensive state like Ibadan or Osun

The young man is trying to escape from the name Pain. He better increase minimum wage to 100k or else his name is SanwoPain.

All members of All Pain Congress are now answering Pain unless the person can provide a good reason why he or she doesn’t deserve the name.
How much is your governor paying

You WORKED there. My wife (level 12) works (still working) there. My sister; level 10 works there too. As at September 23 , the usual payday of LASG. Lagos did not pay 85k minimum wage.

Post your former colleague payslip.

LASG don't give loans.

Btw, you live in a more civilized country now , so you should know how to express your opinion without using abusive words

To clarify, LASG give staff Loans thru their cooperatives.

Have a goodday.

True my Bro. The reality is that Nigeria has become like those remote tribes, who keep being discovered till today, that have lived ignorantly of civilisation and are today essentially cavemen the world has left far behind meaning the job bring them up to modernity will be hugely challenging as is facing Tinubu today.

Because Previous Presidents were not brave, visionary and progressive enough in mentality, they endured with subsidy that kept Nigerians paying pittance for things like electricity supply, education etc whereas the world paid far more to gain optimal results and socio-economic development.

The key, as you worked out, is to boost national economic health and productivity overall, in parity with what obtains worldwide, so this will secure increase in per capita income of Nigeria that will mean Nigeria can eventually afford paying what developed nation pay to live as optimally developed people.

For example, someone with a good grasp of overarching issues will know it is pointless talking about what 30k, our previous minimum wage, could afford but more about the economic reforms needed to make minimum wage like 300 to 500k in the not too distant future.

God bless you for this bro. You’ve said it all

some states will pay more, some states less....
this is how regionalism works....

this federal system should be abandoned completly....
each state move accordin to their possibility....

federal then for security for the entire nigeria....
