Nay, it's anti-people policy! Policy that impoverishes people, reduces their purchasing power, throws them into multidimensional poverty, that one no be policy! |

Eleph: Okonjo- iweala, Sanusi Lamido, Soludo, Rewane etc said during electioneering campaign at different times that ' they pity whosoever will be the next president. The policies are good and working but they are so painful to the masses. But being painful to the masses does not mean the policies are not good or not working. It's painful because Nigerians are not producing, we depend on God for miracles while other countries produces why? It's very simple, let us be honest,, how many Nigerians can open a shop with 3sales girls or boys and keep paying their salaries every month without making sales? So imagine government borrowing money to reduce fuel prices, to reduce dollar rates, to pay workers salaries and we are producing zero. Even the crude have been used to take loans for the next 30+ years. 2 Likes |

WorldRichest:The removal of subsidies is supposed to help the exchange rate. But alas exchange has gone so bad as well. Had it been our exchange rate was floated and be maintained at the rate of 600 - 800 naira from last year 2023 month of may to this moment, the petrol price will not be more than N650, therefore the inflation rate would have also been tamed. If the rate goes up again, petrol price and inflation rate will also climb up again. I don't know who is advising the president |

Tetrahedron:You guys sound so dumb. What is this policies you guys are referring to, just mention any two of the policies. When we talk of reform program, we talking about a deliberate and well articulated policies in the governance of a party manifestos. Where are these policies? Someone just arrogantly opened his loud mouth recklessly and made a pronouncement on the day of his inauguration that "subsidy is gone" |

World 🌎 bank want their money back, wety concern then with Nigerians suffering! This reform is for nigeria to pay the 💰 loan to World bank they took. So the benefits is to them and the looters of Nigerians not the citizens |

VeeVeeMyLuv: Where would they get the money. Yar- adua and Jonathan tried it. Same policies got us to where we are today. President Obasanjo left a gross reserve of $43.13 billion, comprising the CBN’s external reserves of $31.5 billion, $9.43 billion in the Excess Crude Account, and $2.18 billion in Federal Government’s savings in May 2007. The reserve peaked at $62 billion in September 2008 under Yar’Adua when crude prices rose to $147 per barrel before falling to $31.7 billion in September 2011 as the Central Bank of Nigeria had to use much of it to defend the Naira, following the 2008-2009 global financial meltdown. 1 Like 1 Share |

I always find it amusing though Well say we remove subsidies then so we'll give palliatives in return. What's the difference between the two? We'll say govt has more money to spend then we'll see govt telling us we're poor. How can you have more money and be poor? We'll say floating the currency is good and yielding positive results while our currency is the worst performing in the world. Is coming last in a competition a positive thing? 2 Likes |

Nigerias problem isn’t these reforms. It’s the loopholes. We need a strong law against fraud. Efcc is toothless and corrupt. If we can hold politicians accountable, government parastatals accountable. Then we will see profit. We need to audit every parastatal starting with NNPC, PHCN, immigration, FIR, CBN |

I don't want to be the person that will break this bad news to you but this is the reality of this present economy. You can hear for yourself. This country is in a deep mess, no need to sugar coat or hide the reality facing us now but to think that the country will have to wait for the next 15 to 20 years before coming out of this mess is really heartbreaking. It is now a case of survival of the fittest. Are you going to take your online business serious now? so as to keep your family afloat or you still intend to jump from one ponzi scheme to another? A word is enough for the wise |

You increase fuel price by over 300%, devalue the currency by over 200% and increase minimum wage by over 100% and you're saying the money they collect has double. Dumb islamist 1 Like |

Tell us how much you are collecting before subsidy was removed and how much you are collecting now as allocation monthly? Where is your IGR? You governors are the problem instead of investing in agriculture most of you are busy looting and stealing your states money all in the name of building roads and paying salaries instead of agriculture to reduce hunger. |
