The team has honestly been rubbish and now they concede off a goal mouth scramble.

Burkina Faso 1-0 Nigeria. I knew one of these FKs we kept giving away will haunt us.

the under20 cant be playing this way that they will not concede a goal .

I hope a lot of diplomatic processes takes place to quell the bad blood.

The Libyans feel hurt and in some way I sympathize with them.

I hope the NFF clears this and worked within International best practices with respect to handling foreign footballers.

If not, this incident should serve as a lesson.
.

This is not funny anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can someone help ooooooooooooo. Baba is going off point. I must go to asylumeeeeeeee

That Burkinabe Coach is really sounding it out to those lads. Almost like his life is on the line.

As talented as Kparobo is, as cerebral as Ayuma is (subbed out), it is a waste to throw them into a team lacking pattern of play. I mean what is this?? What is Aliyu Zubairu even coaching??
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Truidstarr: 5:36pm
Burkina switched to 3-5-2 second half. All our transitions were coming from the middle in the first half. We were neutralized with the change in formation.

Another wasted set like Bosso's team last time. NFF hurriedly put this team together less than a month ago and we all expected magic to just happen.

I don't know for others, but I stopped being interested in our male U-20 team years ago.... An U-20 team is supposed to be filled with young talents who are playing at a professional level.... we always fill the team with "agbayas" and academy players, and not to mention the poor coaching staff...

Man you see why I’m getting frustrated with you. When did I say or imply all this? Ehn?

You keep arguing on things I never said, meant or alluded to at all and by doing that you distort the whole point. I’ve been an MFS player for almost 8 years. Do you think I do not know how flight plans work? Let me break down my points into simple sentence lines

Libya wants to fly to Uyo. They inform NFF

Libyan FA asks their logistics team to arrange the travel.

NFF arranges an Uyo delegation.

Somebody at this point is supposed to sort out issues regarding special clearance since Uyo ordinarily cannot receive direct foreign flights.

Libya is most likely not aware of this fact. Even if they had a team come before, if they aren’t the ones who sorted it earlier, they may not be be aware.

The flight team requests clearance (most likely through a third party) it comes back denied.
NFF were not aware of the denial.

Libya at this point thinks there’s foul play.

Libya is advised to fly to PH instead so the flight is filed to PH.

Since NFF are not aware of the change in plan, they continue with Uyo plans.

Libya lands in PH and cannot find NFF delegation. At this point they’ve fully convinced themselves that it’s all on purpose.

NFF suddenly are surprised to hear that the Libyans are in Port harcourt and scramble to get there.

Libyans are thoroughly pissed as it takes NFF hours to relocate everything to PH. They swear to deal with us.

Now whose fault is it? It boils down to who is actually responsible for making sure foreign team flights can land in Uyo.

I don’t think it’s the Libyans cause I don’t see how Libyans would be the ones communicating with our federal agencies. They only know one contact: NFF

Now note that the minister of sports mentioned that NFF liaises with th NCAA for landing clearance. So did they ensure that clearance was obtained in this case?
wdym they may not be aware? They have been to uyo before. Libyan clubs come to uyo for caf competitions. They know these procedures. All you and goodjoe have done since the beginning of this case is to look for loopholes to portray the Libyans in good light and the attempts have been comical and ridiculous at each point.

You can easily spot that this U20 team was not put together based on merit, neither was any preparation made towards the selection of the team. Not to mention if there ever was any form of preparation towards the competition. The boys are playing like drunks with no sense of purpose. Small time we will be looking for foreign borns as solution.

When did we turn everything in this country into trivial exercises? My stomach was just turning watching the match. We knew this tournament was gonna hold since the beginning of the year. What was our plan towards it? If Super Eagles is the only team that should be representing Nigeria, NFF should come out and say. And let them stop disgracing us with shoddy preparations and expecting magic to happen. This is embarrassing.

I remember very well sir.
It was a beautiful game.
Most of them were just gidigbo, only few were technical. Echeijile, mikel, Victor moses.
Efe nko?
That guy was smooth on the ball.
Those guys were "technical!!" Just that they had the right amount of physicality in the mix.

Since tribalist took over Nigerian age grade football, they have a disgrace to Nigerians. Expect nothing from this quota system U-20 team.

Unfortunately we will have to make do with this under Gusau leadership

If not for AE that stepped up the super eagles would've been like this too

Save for the foreign born players recruited by Rohr and one or two from Pasiero how many have them been able to recruit

One of either the beyond limit coach or sporting lagos under 19 coach was supposed to be the our under 20 team coach or recruit both coaches to manage the under 20.

Gusau is playing sectionalism with under 20 coach appointment and it will constantly backfire

I blame CAF for allowing a country with dual government host international matches.

The Eastern government (unrecognised internationally) has jurisdiction over the city and stadium the match was to be played in.

The LFF who in this case is the liaison between the two governments decided to deliver us up to the government we have no diplomatic connection with and then stepped back to cry with the GNU that "they don't have powers there".

Basically they are implying the GNS (Eastern) acted on their own agenda to divert us and lock us up. Malice.

You get the scope!!
With this arrangement, they can escape sanctions.

Normally, e get some kind names I go see on a list, then I go check the name that assembled the list and make up my mind on whether na waste of time or not.

As long as sports in Nigeria is concerned, we know where to get the runners, the boxers and the footballers. Generally, the south do better in football, the north seem better suited for long distance races. Our best footballers have come from the East, South South, south west and middle belt. Nothing concern a Kebbi, Yobe, Kano etc boy with football, normally. Even southern boys born in those core northern states, no dey sabi play football. See the likes of Uche Agbo born and bred in Kano. You named a list of players with little to no Edo and Delta boys? lol

This team right here is just a waste of time.

Seeing Daniel Bameyi alone as part of this team was more discouraging than seeing a few bright youngsters like Kparobo, Harcourt, Oyebanjo and Ayuma.

The pain went far. As far back as 2023 U20 WC enduring Bameyi's disasterclass.

If they don’t deal with the Libyans I will loose interest in any future CAF organised tournaments cos it will surely happen again and many countries will start doing their own.

Bayelsa Utd feeling the absence of Bamayi. They were hammered 3 nil by Bendel Insurance yesterday. Make dem allow am go rescue Bayelsa abeg. Also Amuneke with a great result, drawing 1-1 at home against the fantastic Ikorodu.

The Obvious failure of this U20 team is where I reopen my knock chapter on the Gusau-led NFF. The hammer is being forged in Nivadellir.

U23s failed. U17s failed. Now U20s already failing.

Gusau and co, this is for you.... (na preamble be this)
