Why the additional amount ....this one is not saying.... we know JB just didn't show up and ask for X amount more. He should say why they claim they needed it. Engineer Umahi- Must Collect back all the Money unduly given to Julius Berger and Other Road Contractors,who have been failing Nigeria,for if it is their Country.e.g in Germany,they would have Completed it ahead of time,by working Day and Nights.

Where did I say that cost of road construction in the north and south are same?
If 1 trillion can be spent to build a <50km road, that means spending about same amount for a longer road is possible.

What do you expect when your currency is not stable.that road is polymer asphalt,Umahi is clever by half.Ask ASCA for the price of polymer bitumen tanker then you will know Berger is right.

Truth is that Berger was not originally good at road construction. It was bridge and structure. Italian and British companies were the majors in our road construction. Indigenisation made Nigerians and some state governments eg Lagos invest in Berger. Suddenly they started taking up road construction because they were more available than other jobs.

if you understand Nigeria politics about road you will know that Julius Berger is the best in road construction in Nigeria and that's why Nigeria government loves giving them such high hend contracts. State government don't give contract to Julius Berger because they don't give kick backs.
