I served 14/15.

Yes, I didn't get any support from home while I was serving because I stayed for months at home before NYSC and by that time I was already fending for myself as omo boy on the streets.

I served in the core north, I didn't travel to the South all through my service year (so I saved money off unnecessary travel expenses) and I don't eat much. I also don't feed other corpers off my allawee . I was financially displined although I dey drink black bullet steady once in a while when allawee drop.

I served in a village tho and there wasn't any luxury I could spend money on.

But the crux of the matter is : food was relatively cheap. Funny enough, the school I served had boarding facilities and we as teachers had privilege to request for food from dining hall , but I am not really into Hausa food so I didn't explore that route. Other corpers who did probably saved more than I do.

There was one mountain of fire Yoruba babe wey we dey get alignment wey dey always come inside my room to collect my sardines while she dey send her allawee to her mama to keep for her. The day I clear her ehn, she shock say shey na because of sardines I dey halla grin

As per wheel alignment and balancing or wetin? 😂😂

Omo! I'm sure if we check the GDP per capita in 2014 we wouldn't be this poor o
We were the third fasted growing economy in the world in 2014. That same year IMF forecast that we'd become a trillion dollar economy by 2024.

And then the powers that be of the world decided that they'd rather not see a Nigeria rising beyond the shackles that had held it down, and they helped us elect a gang of locusts, and here we are today.

Our GDP today is half the figure it was 10 years ago even with an increase in population.

Our best brains are on a one way path outside the country.

Lol.

Anyway.

Africans are solely responsible for their problems. We need to stop finding ways to blame westerners for our woes. Nobody forced any mf to vote buhari and tinubu.

My issue with this CNG stuff is that out of about 195 countries in the world, Nigeria is the only country advising its citizens to adopt CNG vehicles in mass. In most countries(whether technologically advanced or 3rd world country), the number of CNG vehicles on the road is not even more than 10%.

Wetin other countries see wey dem no adopt CNG vehicles in large quantity like that, make e no be say we go see am from experience . That's my fear

Well, I won't say CNG is good or bad for now until we can wait for a while to hear the experience of people who adopted it earlier. I will also not advise anybody I know to jump follow the bandwagon for now until people who converted earlier come to the fore and share their experience.

It's just funny that none of the political leaders from local level to state and federal levels have converted any of their vehicles yet. Everybody just dey advise the citizens to convert but they aren't leading by example.

All the money government is paying influencers and twitter bluetick accounts to push the CNG conversion thingy, if they can just use it to convert government owned vehicles maybe it will convince people. I remember how some people feared COVID-19 vaccination, then Buhari got his vaccine, and the video was shared online. Some people got vaccinated simply because they watched that video

Maybe, but if you've mellowed and pleaded for a police man that's held you for any reason, chances are you'd mellow with a Wike armed with police and DSS officials. Some of those persons begging might have investments to the tune of hundreds of millions tied down, and it's looking like it'd go down the drain with a swish of the pen from Wike....before mucus comot your nose with begging you sef no go know grin grin grin

I was expecting a swinging hand to land in his face, or even a change of tone when he started approaching them as though to fight, but alas... Nigeria is too lawless for people to stand on business they way they ought to.

A better performer than Peter Obi who his people used to curse after his regime

Even if you look at the video critically, not much went wrong until the man said whatever it was he said as Wike was about entering the vehicle.

Until I know what he said, I can't fault Wikes reaction.

there is nothing you can do
this is a power is power matter

wike has the power to take the land you took 200 million loan to buy
he has the power to demolish the structure you are building with 100 million
you can only genuflect in front of him and kiss his ass while cursing him

we had a project where lagos state workers literally stole material from our site. we protested, and their oga had our site cut off from the road. someone literally had to go and kneel down n the mans office to beg him.

there is nothing anyone can do

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69SQC4b_CcE
i remember when wike was talking anyhow to traditional rulers
nothing we haven't seen before
