You are well informed.

We have lot of UK graduates with no value now.

Most of them pay some individuals to do their course works for them in Nigeria. They learn nothing from the course.

They are lucky UK doesn't do exam to test them but mainly coursework-based, otherwise most people will not graduate.

How do you explain a UK graduate in a STEM course doing care jobs?

My guy, what u stated in the bolded is very true...

With time, you will exposed to all the dirts in the system.

It looks seemingly perfect to you now. Spend some time or move up the ladder to management level, you will see they are
quite corrupt in the government establishment in the western worlds.

Corruption is everywhere in the world and by the way, they are many born and raised Nigerians at the very top management level in the borough, I see their details on our intranet and that is reassuring that if they can get there, I also can.

So why were you arguing otherwise at the bolded in your previous post?

my friend shut up there is no high paying tech job anywhere in Nigeria except you're into scams. Why not show us your own job. You're just a 20k paid APC made to spread lies as you're doing.

A country with no 24/7 light and high speed internet is going no where in tech. 90% of fforeign companies want nothing to do with Nigerians. So shut your mouth and go back to your pithole

So, you are this dull.

I read the bolded twice, and I feel sorry for you.

That one needed connection in government to get a public service job abroad as it is in Nigeria, I got one in London and had no connection with anyone in government, so don't blanket it.

Most of them can't defend the certificates. The school is only interested in their pounds. It's in Nigeria that such certificates carry weight.

You lie!

I am presently a public service worker (govt worker) with a London borough. They advertised a job vacancy on their website, LinkedIn and Indeed.

We were 217 that applied for the job, 34 was shortlisted for the interview which we had at their council headquarters near London bridge.

I was the only one who scaled through and got hired despite still being on the skilled worker visa route and so many other applicants were British citizens. They went through the stress of thoroughly contacting all my references in the Countries I have schooled and worked in and I finally got to switch sponsor.

Now , enjoying the job with good pay package, beautiful working environment few minutes walk to the iconic London bridge and Tower bridge.

My "connection" was my academic qualifications, work history, evident professional skills and God's grace.
You are a liar! Where are your proofs!

In your bid to counter, you rushed into typing.

At no point did I mention that EVERYONE that gets job in a Govt establishment MUST have connection. Even in Nigeria, it is not all the time but people use connection to get jobs in govt parastatal, both in Nigeria & Western world.

How is that difficult to understand?

To relocate via work visa to UK you will first be employed by an employer on a skilled job that allows sponsorship.

Once u are employed u will be given COS to apply for visa.

So have u been employed yet?

Although during the time of care sponsorship from 2021 to end of 2023 lots of Nigerians were able to buy COS and it went as high as 10m last year to even 15m. Majority of this people lost their COS as government start to investigate the abuse. Once revoke u are going back to Nigeria in 60 days if u can't get another.
A lot of people lost funds running to 20m while others escaped the sledge hammer.

Right now that area has been closed or almost closed as it is highly monitored.

Be careful so they don't arrange for visitors visa for u in name of work visa

If u are a dentist, doctors of animal Veterinarian, or a highly skilled individual with years of experience in a managerial field that is in skilled work visa then apply for work from naija.

If u are into carpentry, wood work, welder, plumbing with years of experience u can still apply as this area gives sponsorship

Thanks so much for this piece.

Have you seen anyone that did that successfully in UK without spending years building up profile n chasing gigs up on down then at the end of the day u leave ur sole objective which is to japa, work n cash out.
Remember one is on visa n must utilise it leaving no stone unturned.

I could do that when i have all the time or back in Nigeria

Me, I did that years ago. I still use Upwork now to earn & I have a Transfer Wise dollar account so my money can be moved any where without taxes killing it.

This is false. Stop the cap. It is a requirement for certain jobs, not getting a job

He asked a question, I answered why having the knowledge of driving is important which was in agreement to the OP.

You rushed to reply without using sense.

Right now in the UK, the popular job now is Domiciliary Care Services which demands you have a car because the competition is fierce unlike last year or years ago.

You people should use your sense for God's sake.

Trust me, it is futile debating Nigerian economy or the state of the country with APC supporters, especially those at the top of the value chain. They are blindfolded to the true state of Nigeria. In his defence, @MT made good points by assessing on an individual basis, but on a general note, the APC has destroyed the country's economy ever since 2015. That is a fact. That they don't accept this should not be surprising. It is part of the requirements to be a supporter and member.

He is using specific Individuals as his measuring stick, I am not poor in Nigeria, at least whenever I am there but I cannot use myself as a measuring stick because the state of the economy is in disarray & we all know it. I have seen this trend especially with people such as Lyin guy from ex-Flutterwave. They constantly push the narrative that Nigeria is doing great while people suffer in penury. I have cursed his life & his generations never to cross my path again. Politics section people are just full of rogues.

Nigeria is finished. Your gdp per capita is now 850 USD per capita, Somalia is 643 USD in comparison and it will only get worse once all these loans Tulumbu is getting start maturing.

It's so sad you are here yapping about outliers in Nigeria economy. How many people work in the sector you mentioned?

So Nigeria starts and ends in Lagos island? What sort of foolishness is this?

How can one use like 40million plus travel and hustle in another country.

With that money, I can live a quiet peaceful life in Nigeria with little investment.
You will change your mentality if you spend an hour in a developed country.
I didn't hate Nigeria before travelling but just 2months abroad and I hate it.
The life rich people are living in Nigeria is what average people live here.

They don't rate academic certificate. They rate skills and experience. Your 12-16 months won't give you that edge. Do you now the number of graduates UK school produce every year? The job market is saturated that you need to provide something special to be chosen. It's not Nigeria that your Msc cert automatically get you a job even when you can't defend it
