These are the typical ignoramus we share country with. The court of appeal shuts temporarily due to security concerns

These one dont know what the security concern is, but him and his fellow travellers will run here to tell everyone they know what the security concerns is

People who only remember that insecurity exists in Nigeria only if it the South East, but if they hear that Boko haram beheaded 40 farmers in Borno, they won't remember anything about insecurity

Biafra Government have given order and it must be carried out

Re: Owerri Appeal Court Announces Temporary Shutdown, Cites Security Concerns by AntiZikist: 9:18pm On Oct 27
UnabashedIPOB:

Yes, the Biafra Republic Government In Exile (BRGIE) led by Prime Minister, Mazi Simopn Ekpa, warned the judiciary in Biafra land that if it does not repatriate all the Biafrans kidnapped from Biafra land on trumped charges and taken to different places in the north and locked up for years unjustly, that all the judges and the various courts will be locked down in Biafra land starting on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. It's no secret that the terrorist government of Nigeria is using the judiciary to thwart justice for Biafrans. I have NOT seen or heard of any Fulani man or Yoruba who was arrested for committing a crime in the North or West respectively and was locked up in the East. But many Easterners (Biafrans) are locked up in various locations for many years without trial, mostly in the North for an alleged crime that was supposedly committed in the East. In civilized societies or advanced democracies, such an affront to a Constitution does NOT happen. A jurisdictional requirement that is needed before a suspect can be tried in that court is not being respected by the Nigerian judicial system. You wonder why politicians and citizens have no regard or respect for your courts.

Correctional facilities are operated by the FG and they cater for both those convicted by a federal court or a state court.

The Correctional Service determines which category and facility an inmate will serve his or her sentence.

Okah is serving his sentence in Maiduguri and not Kuje , Abuja Prison where the crime of terrorism was committed
.
Terrorism cases are prosecuted by the FG in a federal high court and this can be in any state outside the state the crime was commited.

You also don't expect convicted IPOB terrorists to be within proximity of their fellow IPOB who have in the past staged jail breaks.

I recall how the Buhari govt was about to move BH prisoners to the SE fearing they might be broken out of jail by their fellow BH.

So save all this crap.

IPOB-ESN and Biafra Terrorist group of Simon Ekpa has set to destroy Igboland. They even are exporting this terrorism to Southern Cameroon. Southern Cameroon now is a no-go zone. This Biafra criminality and idiocy has proven that South East has more Boko haram than Borno state. It is very sad. All the mansions built in Igboland now are being occupied by rats and spiders. No one is safe to enjoy his hard earned labour. It is evil everyday, fear everyday.

What is the essence of government if some criminals are more powerful and stronger that the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. It simply means that the country is now a banana Republic. If Court of Appeal cannot be guaranteed in a State Capital by the Federal Government, the government has lost capacity of being called government

Another way to view this is that the SE is slipping fast into total anarchy .

The judiciary has been threatened by Ekpa and you don't expect them to still act as if everything is normal.

Do you expect them to still convene when there's a real and apparent threat to their lives ?

Whatever decision arrived by the Appeal Court panel was influenced by the security report and the discretion to still sit is up to the panel and they have decided that the situation on ground does not warrant risking the lives of the jurists, court staff and members of the public that are expected in court.

If i were to be the President, whatever it took to ensure that a Federal institution like the Court of Appeal in the East is open for business, i will do it, even of i will deploy troops. You cannot be seen as a serious President when a rag tag terrorist group is able to force Federal institutions to close

Your governors can not end the sit at home , you expect the President to roll in the military to a region that the military is hated and falsely accused of every war crime ?

Why bother?

The Appeal Court should move to Akwa Ibom until sense return to you guys.

Those children of the poor or those you hated and refused to train will one day stop your children you trained from enjoying benefits is their training.

For now, you may think it will be limited to the East alone. Let me tell you, as they keep ignoring the people of East, the menace will spread to other regions sooner than later. Yesterday it was Monday sit at home, today it is temporary closure of Appeal court.

Previously, courts in the local governments were shut down. They relocated to Owerri, the state capital. The ones in the state capital are shutting down too.

Their so-called leaders and elders that are all echoing this call for Kanu's release are pure cowards who think if they join the bandwagon calling for Kanu's release they won't be targeted by the criminal gangs in IPOB.

They are also calling for Kanu's release because they feel he can stop the madness but unknown to them all, jungle don mature and what you have here are the most hardened criminals whom they empowered under Biafra agitation that are not ready to stop their criminal ways.

Las las, they will beg Tinubu to bomb those forest enclaves..

I even like how the military has washed it's hands from the whole thing only going after the gangs when they come out of their forests. The security guys will be sick and tired of being accused of wrongful killings and arrests when they go after these criminals. So now they have left it to them to sort it out as long as the criminals no pass their boundaries and attack any security operative.

They will eventually all go to Abuja and beg Tinubu to send the army to flush the monsters they created out of their land.

Keep quiet and do NOT dabble into something that you are CLUELESS about. How many Biafran youths were picked up for NO reason and transferred to the NORTH but dumped in detention for years without trial? As I said earlier, there are NO Yoruba man or Fulani man picked off the street for allegedly committing any crime albeit the state or Federal, and brought to the EAST. So, you can talk all the trash you want but that does NOT change a thing. First of all, you do NOT send an arrestee to prison without trial. They are supposed to be held in jail and NOT prison in case your dimwitted self does not know that. Prison is for those who have been CONVICTED of a crime NOT for anyone who was arrested without trial. I hope you have learned a thing or two.

Are you aware that the court can grant the authorities the powers to detain any suspect under serious criminal investigation beyond the 48hr limit ?

Go and read up on terrorism act and see how the federal govt can detain anyone beyond the 48hrs after seeking a court order to that effect.

Even the US Patriot Act passed after 9/11 saw to Guantanamo bay turned to a detention centre for many Al Qaeda suspects who were never arraigned in court for a crime other than to secure a detention order. The same terrorism act also saw thousands of Bornu youth detained in military facilities for years until they were eventually cleared by investigation so don't act as if this is new and targeted at your people.

Marauding gangs composed of exconvicts, convicts, thugs , cultists and prison escapees have taken over the adjourning forests in the region and have imposed heavy taxes and levies on residents in these areas. Some are taxed 200k monthly or their village homes get burnt to the ground. Women and girls (even underaged ones) are abducted, raped and impregnated by these criminals in their forest dens. Anyone thinking of doing burial or marriage ceremony most cough out huge sums or the venue is raided and guests and celebrants are kidnapped. In Orlu, the criminals have set up IEDs around the perimeter of villages which have gone off killing and maiming some residents. Young men are forced to join the criminal gangs and initiated in an occultic blood oath ceremony involving the consuming of human flesh. Many of the chiefs and elders have been killed in the most gruesome manner after undergoing sadistic tortures and their heads servered and placed in the centre of the town/village by the criminals. Anyone suspected of being an informant awaits such fate and several have been murdered in such manner. A security report estimates the strength of these gangs ranging up to 5,000 scattered in camps in the forests.

But alas, it's ok for they are fighting Nigeria for Biafra.

To be honest people are scared

I remember when this Kanu and ipob issue started

I was raising alarm on my Facebook page

A childhood friend of mine that based in Doha Qatar

Sent me private message that he is seeing how I have been castigating ipob

That when they get the government people like us will be the first to be eliminated

Omo I was shocked

Since that day I don't post anything about the issue

Ipob issue really dealt with we igbos

It has pushed us back so much

And the elites themselves are not helping the matter

It's heart breaking to see what is going on in the East 😭😭😭

Unless the ruling elites, the restive youths, come together and tackle this issue

I am sorry what may happen

The federal Government must also rule Nigeria with justice, fairness and equity

Responsible leadership must be at the forefront
