I think I have told the story of a Nigerian doctor/lecturer that was employed by a Uni in the Caribbean. The school council had to call him to order when he failed most of his students in the Naija style.

The IPO went to the honorable's house to invite. When the honorable came he still kept shouting and threatening him in the police presence. The police in their "good judgement" seized the guy's vehicle eventually while the honorable went back home.

Normally if our institutions were strong, the honorable should've been arraigned by now while the guy's vehicle is released to him so he can continue hustling.
