I'm not sure any woman will be happy her husband is having a sidechic. Unless she's also playing away match. I don't know why these men don't follow Niger Delta man playbook and be upfront from the start that you're not a one woman man.

If a riff raff like Portable can be juggling multiple women without stress why are you sneaking around like small pikin. Woman can never respect you with that pattern

Na why we dey preach to our capable men like sodik to marry 2nd wife's with their full chest

I was going to say that. Most cars imported to Nigeria won't get on American roads. The permanent check engine light in most tokunbo cars na example

True, but if car yawa gas the resultant kasala can be managed. It's not the same thing for aircraft now.

If aircraft develops fault mid air its death straight and no any ifs or buts

The change should come from both ends of the power spectrum in my opinion.

We will wait for up to 3 generations before top down only change can work. For the change to happen in a timely fashion the paradigm has to change at the individual level as well.

The level of oppression that goes on in Universities alone is unbelievable. Even at the community level, Landlords oppressing their tenants with impunity, bank tellers oppressing customers, school principals oppressing junior teachers etc

I think I have told the story of a Nigerian doctor/lecturer that was employed by a Uni in the Caribbean. The school council had to call him to order when he failed most of his students in the Naija style.
The council told him that a majority failure rate was an indictment not on the students but on the lecturer. He was forced to review the scripts and issue a more reasonable result.

If it was in Nigeria the class reps would have been going to beg him every day to be merciful while fellowship leaders would have led fasting and prayer sessions for God to touch his heart.
I understand the both ends thing but only an authorised position can enforce change. It must be an enforcement thing for it to gather any momentum, and whoever is enforcing needs to be seen as equitable.
Buhari cannot ban medical tourism for government officials and hop on presidential jet for every ear infection.
when senators were seen to adorn themselves in babanriga and go seek some sort of pardon for Ekweremmadu, how do you then enforce laws against human trafficking or organ harvesting or forced labor/prostitution, and even skull mining for citizens?
the former efcc chairman will not involve in financial corruption if he had been appointed by Kuan Yew.
these laws will be on paper but people will keep "trying their luck". we then have phrases like "na who them catch be thief".

as an aside, actually a lot of cars sold in nigeria should not be sold

a car has a structural frame with crumple zones deigned to absorb the force in a collision. you take a car whose structure has been compromised in an accident and reweld the frame - you are introducing a point of failure.

sit in a mechanic workshop and you will be horrified watching them put salvage cars on the road as confam tokunbo

but you are right. las las if my tokunbo car breaks down on the road it is me and the area boys. if my refurbished tokunbo plane breaks down in the sky it is me and newtons laws of gravity

I see a lot of these cars on twitter. Sometimes I want to expose the dealer but what's the point?

First, it takes a lot of time and effort to pull out these pictures and secondly, he can easily just block you.

Look at this car and see what this criminal is trying to pass off to an unsuspecting buyer. 50m to buy a coffin

as an aside, this is actually nigerian culture across the board

70% of the things you are buying in so called upscale stores are refurbished and packaged as new.

there is a shop - timekeepers

buy a watch from there and it will develop problem in a week. and these are brand name watches.

it is so bad that nigerians have been gaslit into thinking you buy a pricey item and then you have to baby it or it will spoil.

i remember years ago i was buying my daughter shoes that would fall apart two weeks. then i bought a pair of skechers that just kept going. then one day we were at school and a nicely dressed woman called me aside - you are not supposed to use these shoes like this! they will spoil. just use them on weekends! that is what dubious nigerians have done with the refurbished or expired items they are selling to people as brand new.

i follow right to repair and i kind of understand apples stance on allowing only registered people to work on their devices, because a lot of people will have negative experiences when they use low quality apple devices

I guess they didn't know who they were dealing with.

Can you kindly post the link to what all state governors get from FAAC, I want to see that of Edo. πŸ™

Here's the link: https://me.budgit.org/?state=Edo. Create an account then sign in. I've been tracking on the platform every week since June 2018. You can filter for any state and LGA, and track projects too; including on TrackaNG.

Once I'm through with tackling the HCDFT thing, I want to follow up on my LGA of origin. We got #354 million in July alone so the incumbent chairman has to explain if he doesn't budget for student bursaries, for example. He can no longer hide behind the state government cornering LG allocations.

Attached is the FAAC for Edo State. You guys are eating good too so Obaseki has no excuse.

Remember the Elisha Senatr from Adamawa wey beat one salesgirl in Abuja, Nothing happened to him

In Nigeria, we are made to oppress others, even the oppressed wont want it to stop so that one day it will be their turn to say "Do you know who I am"

Yes o, I remember that guy. I think it was in a sexxxx toy shop he he even slapped the sales girl.

The guy finished his term in the house of assembly and nothing happened.

I doubt if this one sef will face any serious consequence for the assault. Our institutions are really weak.

I watched the video of the bolt guy narrating what happened after the incident. He was later arrested and kept behind counter in the police station after writing his statement. The IPO went to the honorable's house to invite. When the honorable came he still kept shouting and threatening him in the police presence. The police in their "good judgement" seized the guy's vehicle eventually while the honorable went back home.

Normally if our institutions were strong, the honorable should've been arraigned by now while the guy's vehicle is released to him so he can continue hustling.

Nigeria is the worst place to be a poor man. This Uber driver is in the oppression sphere of the honorable, and he's getting punished, regardless of what the facts of the situation might be...the honorable is in the oppression sphere of other higher ups, and he'd get punished if he steps out of line, and on and on it continues.

We internet people might not agree, but in Nigeria, the best course of action is to find a way to die this matter and let the poor man go in peace and continue his life.

Nothing would be done to the Rep guy, The driver will likely suffer more. After the initial outrage on SM, We will all move on but the lawmaker will still dey disturb and make life hard for the poor man

The lady Elisha Abbo slapped, what happened to her? No one knows but Elisha still retained his power to abuse more people. Once you are poor, na only God fit fight your battles
