They dont export that much but currently pko is trading at high price recently. And lastly Nigeria palm oil demand is currently higher than local production for industries, it a no brainer that the stocks of presco and okomu will always beat inflation due to there pricing power. Our tropical weather gives them the best yield too. I like okomu more. I buy dollar with my dividend and buy more from speculator when they dump it
Streetinvestor2:
okumu total interim dividend will now be (8 +2) #10
Presco will pay interim this q3.It has always been thr style. We will get like #15 for interim from Presco .
Funny enough they are not meeting demand for local and abroad

Yes, I checked the financials well. I think in 2022 they export some quantities to Germany but other than that it’s all domestic sales. The Ghana plant is meant to help them with exporting power, about $5m worth
CPO (crude palm oil) is a global commodity priced in USD but they sell in naira so when the prices increase globally it benefits them. It’s currently trading at highest in two years, don’t think the price shift was captured in Q3 will likely reflect in Q4 and FY

Keep it simple:
If someone who has 1 million Transcorp sees N48 million as it still reflects in most digital portfolios decided to sell 200,000 out of his reconstructed 250,000 (though he is not aware his total is now 250,000 post reconstruction) the transaction will not sail through?
If you understand that it will, that’s what I’m saying.
In his mind he thinks he still has 800,000 left out of his pre-reconstruction 1 million, not knowing the reality is that his 1 million shares is now 250,000 shares post reconstruction.
To him, he has booked huge profit selling 200,000 at N48, being ignorant that what he will be having left is just 50,000 Transcorp shares and not 800,000 shares.
You get my point now?

Who told you it is only fundamentals that moves the prices of stocks? What fundamentals does FTN cocoa, Ellah Lakes, chams, Daar communications, Omatek, Japaul, Tantalizer etc has, and yet they moved from virtually zero price (20k) to where they are now. For example, FTN Cocoa moved from 20k to around 380k within one year (over 1500% increase) and as we speak, it has not gone back to the initial 20k. Same with others. Those that key into those stocks when loco initially announced it also made huge gains, it is only those chasing when the price have gone higher before entering that lost. Everybody here has its own style of picking stocks and gaining from it. Change your ways and stop abusing people based on their perception of the market.

Nigerians always looking for short cuts to solve serious issues. This is an equivalent of what our own inhouse data analyst was suggesting the other day, to cancel 2 zeros at the end of the exchange rate to create the semblance of parity.

The truth is that Nigeria has to use this God given opportunity to consider exporting their products and services to benefit from this exchange rate, the proceeds when poured into the stock market will be able to buy a lot more quantity of shares.

In my case after a moved my transcorp(which I bought @less than 1naira some years back) to Meristem I bought more and then average was around 11 naira. Post reconstruction my average price dropped to 8naira and now am seeing over 400% increase. Anyone that sees that and did not look at money value will definitely attempt selling.

It's people like @megawealth01 that will have 1000% actual paper increase and still dey hold grin

Haba, quite interesting to see that you are the one prompting further discussions on Oando?.
You had said that you would not recognize Oando until they come clean. Have they come clean now? Mentioning the name means you now recognize Oando, after all.

Nobody here is ''faithful'', strictly speaking, to Oando. We are only ''faithful'' to whatever stocks that has potential or prospects to give us good profits or increase the value of our investments within relevant or foreseeable timeframe.
After we make the money we desire or target in Oando, we port to another stocks with better prospects or potentials.

Don't get it twisted!

Please, if you want to reference me, don't misquote me - I never said to remove 2 zeros. Go back and check what I actually said. I've read this publication, and I can tell you that the author doesn't fully understand the concept of exchange rates; their ideas are muddled.

Now, back to my point since you referenced me: recalibrating the naira will not change the economy or make imported cars cheaper, as the author of the publication claimed. Here's what it will actually do:

*It will recalibrate the actual value of money in our minds (after all, there was a time when people were earning ₦30, and a Peugeot was worth about ₦1,000)

*It will give people holding naira more confidence (consider that an iPhone is worth more than a million - try carrying that million in cash and you'll understand)

*As things stand now, the paper and printing cost for each naira bill is worth much more than the monetary value it represents, etc.

But what's most disappointing is being referenced incorrectly - not cool Bro. undecided
