The 2023 results is a good sign.i never looked at oando results in the past before going in.The results if it is genuine without manipulation. Then it is a company working hard to turn things around for good.
The management should work on thr personal integrity in the eyes of investors.
The remaining quater results will still show better improvement for income which is mostly forex gain which boosted 2023 result In other operating income
It will hit 100 plus when suspension is lifted soon.
I just took malaria injection it is making me see figures double @ osita.
I pray thr is no manipulation in the results for any reason as oga Emma said they changed auditors to lower firm.

Prediction is very much an art. Your valuation of GTCO, for instance, is also an art because you made assumptions to arrive at a specific number. You do have a number in mind that you believe reflects GTCO's value, right? How did you arrive at that number, and what assumptions did you make?

Applying concepts logically is always better than ignoring them (in your case saying it is futile) . Someone who doesn’t calculate and simply assumes GTCO is undervalued is likely to get burned sooner or later if they don’t know where to stop buying. This is just an example to illustrate my point.

I no get power to argue but I dont see the logic in doing this calculation. Average P.E can give a reference for historical valuation, average book value can also give historical reference. Historical EPS has no use what so ever

In 2008 FBN securities asked clients whose portfolio was less than N5 million to transfer their accounts to other houses.

Cardinal Stone was newly established then, they just captured the clients given Red card by FBN securities, fast forward to 2020 and beyond Cardinal Stone started getting more businesses than FBN Securities
Imagine.

Typical First bank businesses
First to start, bottom place years later.🤦

It wss a tme when some diasporians relocated and were offered management positions in some of the big stockbroking firms, it was also a time when mutual funds management was at infancy stage.

So these guys came up with some crazy policies.

N5 million of 2008 should be equivalent to N20 million of 2024.

I remember when I wanted to sign for a margin loan of N2 million from FBN Securities in 2004, my hand was shaking like person wey get epilepsy .

The loan was invested in the shares of Wema bank and it came out fine with a profit of about 120% after loan was repaid

5million of 2008 is equivalent of 58/60mil in 2024

There’s nothing wrong with the company, it is very solid and it pays good dividends. There was a release in Bloomberg today, the SPDC deal is even back on. If you’re an investor, you won’t be worried about dips in a strong stock, unless you’re gambling, but some people jumped in thinking they’d make quick money. I’m just clearing the air in case people think I was MH. I advised on everything down to the risks
I believe you did the best you could, even if it it had gone upward.
You even indicated you sold before it listed.

There were pros and cons in the thread.

Oando don give us assignment. Thank God it is Friday. The whole of the weekend will be enough for SA, TA, FA, charts, double - bottom and double- top. Before Monday, the whole thing will surely clear. This Wale man tried this time without giving excuse again. I hope with this NGX will lift the technical suspension immediately. Or will it still be suspended? I need to make some money here to compensate for Aradel grin

Key takeaway: They are not delisting

Current Equity Talks and Debt Management:

Equity Raising: The company has indicated that it is in active discussions with potential equity investors. This step is part of its broader plan to bridge the funding shortfall that remains after debt refinancing. Management has noted that these equity injections are crucial for covering approximately 46.4% of the funding gap that will not be resolved through debt restructuring alone.
Debt Refinancing: While refinancing existing debt is a significant part of Oando’s strategy, this alone is expected to address only about 53.6% of the funding gap for the fiscal year ending December 2024. The success and timing of these equity talks are crucial, as delays or failures could significantly impact the company’s financial health and ability to continue as a going concern.

These are the points Oga Emma is highlighting, especially regarding the equity raising(right issue). I don’t think it will happen anytime soon; remember, this was before the NAOC acquisitions, and a lot has changed since then. Also, with all the loans taken in 2024, do you still think they need to raise more?

Afreximbank Reserve Based Lending (RBL) Facility: Oando PLC secured a $500 million RBL facility for financing the NAOC acquisition, with Oando Energy Resources (OER) acting as the guarantor. This loan was obtained on August 22, 2024, the same day the acquisition was completed. The facility is likely secured by the oil reserves of the acquired NAOC assets.

Afreximbank Junior Facility: Alongside the RBL facility, Oando PLC also obtained a $150 million Junior Facility for the NAOC acquisition, again with OER as the guarantor. This facility likely serves as a secondary source of financing and might have different terms and conditions compared to the RBL facility.

BB Energy Loan: Calabar Power Limited (CPL), a subsidiary of Oando PLC, secured a $40 million loan facility from BB Energy (Gulf) DMCC on June 28, 2024. Oando PLC acted as the guarantor for this loan. The purpose of this loan was explicitly stated as the acquisition of a 20% working interest in the NAOC Joint Venture Assets and related fees and costs.

Indorama Capital Holdings Pte. Ltd. and African Export-Import Bank Loan: Oando Petroleum and Natural Gas Company Limited (OPNGL), another subsidiary of Oando PLC, obtained a $500 million loan facility from Indorama Capital Holdings Pte. Ltd. ($150 million) and the African Export-Import Bank ($350 million) on July 25, 2024*. The purpose of this loan was to purchase a 20% participating interest in the NAOC/OOL/NEPL Joint Venture.

Mercuria Asia Resources Pte Ltd. Loan: OPNGL also entered into a $150 million loan facility agreement with Mercuria Asia Resources Pte Ltd. on July 23, 2024. This loan was intended for transaction costs and expenses related to purchasing a participating interest in the NAOC/OOL/NEPL JV and acquiring 100% equity interest in NAOC.

Total Loan Amount: $1.34 billion.
