I have always reiterated that the Decking Area of Pop is a critical part that needs serious attention to details, hence make sure to employ those who know their onion.

Recommendations to Home owners , who intend to use Pop design in their building space :

• Employ the services of a professional, who will not compromise on quality
• Make Sure your decking or roof is not leaking before installation of Pop
• Don't house heavy/chaotic designs in such areas
• Better reinforcement, implemented in the decking Area before installation
• The " Decking area of Pop designs" should never be rushed because you intend to move in quickly
• Task your Artisan/contractor to use enough fillas (Fiber) for your Pop design & not to manage it.

I have emphasized on several occasions on this thread, the Important role fiber (fillas) plays in the construction & installation of POP ( plaster of paris).

Nice Job with total dedication, I just want to point out something, You know when you guys are working on a project, I think you guys should try as much as possible to reduce the amount of stains you cause to the body of the building, look at this video and the brick tiles on the pillars of the balcony, it is stained, why not buy loads of old blankets to cover parts like that when carrying out your work? mine too was stained. Most of the doors, good job I never took of the nylon covering.

not bad sir: it's your choice, fixing pop ceiling on a decking area is not a bad idea, some pop has been don 20yrs ago and still intact till date, make sure you give your project to professional that won't manage Materials, or reliable installer not contractors that don't know about pop, some cannot cast talkless of installing, so how will that same person know if the pop is properly install.
Some clients will collect about 10 quotations Looking for the cheapest, no individual will want to loose, either they use lesser materials or casting will be very light, decking is very dangerous not everyone can handle it and it needs proper attention

I think the polystyrene should be cost effective. I have just installed POP on an approximately 80sqm space, it cost me 30 bags Pop cement, 42kg fillers, 3kg binding wire, and other materials like soaps, groundnut oil, nails. Was charged #1,300/sqm for labour for simple designs. Check the costs of all these and compare with the polystyrene quotation you got.
