Even when NNPC sells to Dangote in Nigeria. He is still selling it an expensive rate. I thought he is going to sell it cheaper.

The US has oil and refines oil yet petrol per litre is almost $1. Where anyone got the idea that Dangote will crash fuel price is surprising. Why would he sell cheaper when he can export for market price?

A litre of crude cost almost $0.45. When you factor the cost of processing + profit you will understand why petrol is expensive. Previous governments are responsible for your entitlement mentality. Petrol was never cheap. Someone was paying part of the cost for every litre you bought.

You're mentally indolent. What proportion of the US minimum wage is a litre of fuel?

Dear everyone, please, i won't be doing this if only there's a glimmer of hope. please forgive me, but it seems that I have no choice. I'm typing this with tears in my eyes and with a very heavy heart. I'm doing this for my little girl who is asthmatic, I have exhausted my savings to buy her Seretide inhaler but at this point it has become too expensive to afford. I work two jobs to provide for my family but it never seem to be enough and as it stands I have exhausted all channels with which I can borrow money to buy it. It is sold for 18,500 but anything we can lay our hands on is perfectly okay please. Even 1k will go a long way to keep my baby girl alive please. Please my family, am on my knees, I am pleading for assistance to save my daughters life. I beg you in God's name please.. Any well meaning Nigerian whom God has touched their heart to help us, please help us. May the Almighty GOD bless all you lay your fingers on, amen.

Nigerians are the dullest things existing on earth.

Is Dangote running a charity organisation?

You expect him to sell petrol at 100 naira per litre?

Nonsense smiley

Our government needs to encourage investors to build more refineries to reduce the power of monopoly market.

I had warned Nigerians earlier about Dangote's monopolistic agenda with his refinery.... It is now too late to cry..... Nigerians must hold this government accountable by agitating for the national refineries to be operational before December.... This is the only way out for Nigerians. If Tinubu and his callous government can not fix atleast one of the refineries to bring down the price of fuel, let him resign or be impeached to save the nation from impending doom.........

No wonder them no gree release price since.

Before Dangote, fuel was around 600-700. After Dangote, manufacturing price is now 990. A lot more than when fuel was imported.

I told people around me expecting to be a saviour that I'd rather have a foreign company own the refinery than Dangote. Man has no regards for Nigerians. Now they are trying to have another monopoly in the oil sector by engineering a court case to stop fuel importation. Petrol on the road to 3k by 2026.

Oga Dangote refinery is more than 40% owned by the world bank investment arm....go figure!

Dangote trucks destroy Nigeria's roads. Crude oyel and Tax payers money are used to repair the roads or build new roads.
Dangote's profits are wasted on CNN mentions of Dangoteeee nearly hundred times a day.
Sorry for Nigerians.

What do you want dangote to do, dangote is not your president rather he is a businessman and a businessman wants to maximize his profit fully. If you want cheap PMS hold your government responsible, let them build or fix our refinery so that they can sell 400 naira per liter, but will it be possible? NO!! corruption no go gree us

Nobody is even thinking or talking of those four ‘condemned iron/ iron condemned/ scraps’ called refineries again. Not even NNPC(L).

All money spent on their maintenance…gone 🙈

After knowing our daily consumption, I feel it’s the right time our government returns the subsidy into fuel. We don’t mind it being smuggled to other countries. At least govt will now pay for everything in Naira.

Government can, as well, go and open NNPC filling stations other West African countries, to reduce petroleum product smuggling.

There is no way in hell that dangote should be selling oil to us at that price. If that the case then let him buy his oil elsewhere . We will continue to import oil until we fix our refineries.
I understand that the amount we were buying was because it was heavily subsidized but rather than subsidized the cost of fuel . I would rather invest in the refinery and buy it from him or own a controlling interest.

how much was dollar before now

The difference in USD/NGN is less than 8% since the refinery became operational. 108% of the former retail price of 600 is 648. How did Dangote now arrive at 960?

Besides crude is sold to Dangote in Naira. I had no hope in him before knowing the kind of businessman he was, but this is just unbelievable.

“Post deregulation, NNPC set the pace by selling PMS to domestic marketers at N971 per litre for sale into ships and at N990 for sale into trucks. This set the benchmark for our pricing and we have even gone lower to sell at N960 per litre for sale into ships while maintaining N990 per litre for sale into trucks.

Is this not greed? How do you benchmark against someone's cost that includes international shipping to and fro when yours is manufactured locally?..then remove 10 naira for ships?

Either you want to protect the person's business (Malta Plant) or just plain greed.

At the end the grass (Nigerians) suffer for it

The poor fellows have gotten so used to cheap fuel, that they cannot stomach the idea of fuel at market price.

Ah well, it is funny to see people being cured of their delusions...slowly.
