Abeg make everybody rest for this OANDO matter. It’s now a gloating game. Assuming it closed on green today, I am sure pro-oando group would have celebrated here and also taunt the other group. Everything about Oando (the good and bad) is all out in the open and littered over multiple pages of this thread. Make una let the stock breath abeg and face other stocks. Las las with the company’s strong PR game, I won’t be surprised if it goes on another bullish rally. For me, na Aradel and Zenith be my major interest.

Why are you also overlooking the fact that half year profit in 2023 was almost double of the full year profit for same year? If something similar happens this year then last year's PAT would be at least x2 of this year.

Aradel would make people smile. It was just overpriced on listing and market correction followed. I would be buying once it hits 350.

#350 or lower will be a steal. Tbh, I didn’t expect it to go lower than #400 but now I am no longer sure of what range it will bottom. I had a 5K units target and I currently have 3,645 units (BE @#458). I will complete the last tranche this week as the price dips further.

I'm not here to teach so I won't argue much but you don't need to try to catch a falling knife. Let the stock fall and settle. It will trade within a price range for some time.

During this range period you will have more than enough time to decide if it's worth pulling the trigger.

Yeah, lesson learnt boss. This is my buying season and I just wanted to commit the fund to a decent stock. Aradel (despite being newly listed) and Presco were my picks. I met my Presco target since and have actually been patient with Aradel while watching it fall from 700ish to 500 before committing my first buy and bought more today. I guess I am not really that patient to wait it out for extra weeks to find better bargain entry. All the same, as long as the company’s fundamentals remain healthy, I don’t mind the falling price. Hopefully I might have a fresh budget to key into it when it share price settles so it’s still a win-win IMO.

Keep your money. Presco makes sense. It's been ranging for a while now and it's not likely to fall further. As for Aradel, nobody knows where market will call a bottom. You can enter now and it falls below 100. Just be patient

I will. Lemme just log off NGX for now while keeping up with the daily price lists. I will probably return to complete my Aradel’s target when its decline stops and starts ranging. Thanks for the advice boss. GoodnightđŸ«¶đŸŒ.

May calm reign in the space
For that which they taunted,
Mocked and panicked on
Is strong and will fly

Contrary to the expectations
Of the saddists and pessimists
There's no need for worry
And no need for fear

For indeed,the current pullback
Is nothing but
A new Vista of opportunities
For the discerning ones to leverage upon!

UBA's Q3 2024 Financial Analysis: A Steller Performance

UBA has reported a remarkable financial performance for the Q3 2024, showcasing robust growth across several key metrics. The bank's gross earnings surged by an impressive 83.33%, rising from N1.308 trillion in Q3 2023 to N2.398 trillion in Q3 2024. This stellar performance highlights UBA's strategic initiatives and operational efficiency in the challenging economic environment.

However, a significant driver of UBA's revenue growth has been the dramatic increase in interest income, which soared by 170.0%, reaching N1.799 trillion compared to N666.3 billion in the previous year. This surge reflects the bank's effective lending strategies and the increasing demand for credit facilities amid economic recovery.

Conversely, non-interest income faced a decline of 24.1%, dropping from N574.54 billion to N435.84 billion. This downturn is attributed to include reduced transaction volumes and competitive pressures in the banking sector. Nevertheless, UBA's strong interest income compensated for this decline, underscoring the bank's reliance on its core lending activities.

Though the operating expenses rose significantly by 119.0%, increasing to N812.2 billion from N370.9 billion. This escalation is linked to investments in technology and infrastructure aimed at enhancing customer experience and expanding market share. Despite these higher costs, the bank reported a 20.2% increase in profit before tax, climbing from N502.1 billion to N603.5 billion. Similarly, the profit after tax saw a healthy increase of 16.9%, rising to N525.3 billion from N449.3 billion.

The growth in profitability, despite rising expenses, speaks of the company's strategic position and effective management practices that have allowed it to maintain a healthy bottom line.

While, on other hand, UBA total assets surged by 95.9%, reaching N31.801 trillion, compared to N16.235 trillion in the same period last year. This growth reflects the board's commitment to expanding its asset base and enhancing liquidity. The bank's loans and advances also saw a notable increase of 53.7%, rising to N7.78 trillion from N5.07 trillion. This expansion in lending signifies UBA's strong market presence and its ability to meet growing credit needs of its customers.

Customer deposits experienced a staggering increase of 97.5%, moving from N11.63 trillion to N27.10 trillion. This influx of deposits not only strengthens UBA’s balance sheet but also provides a solid foundation for further lending and investment activities.

The bank’s shareholder funds rose by 101.6%, reaching N3.59 trillion from N1.78 trillion, indicating robust capital growth that support future expansions. Earnings per share (EPS) also improved, increasing by 14.3% to N14.78, up from N12.93. This positive trend in EPS is a strong indicator of UBA’s commitment to enhancing shareholder value.

Therefore, looking ahead to Q4 2024, UBA is well-positioned to capitalize on its current momentum. The anticipated economic environment, characterized by recovery and growth, presents numerous opportunities for the bank. With the recent expansion in loans and a solid deposit base, UBA can leverage its financial strength to capture market share and drive further profitability.

Analysts are optimistic that UBA's potential to sustain its growth trajectory, particularly if the bank continues to innovate and adapt to evolving market dynamics. The possibility of an increased dividend, following the N2 interim dividend paid in the Q2 2024, is a topic of discussion among investors. Given the bank’s strong earnings performance and solid balance sheet, a higher dividend payout in the near future seems plausible.

As UBA's Q3 2024 financial results emphasis its resilience and capacity for growth in a competitive landscape. The impressive rise in gross earnings, coupled with robust profitability metrics and asset growth, positions the bank favourably as it moves into the final quarter of the year. Stakeholders look forward for UBA to sustained performance and the potential for enhanced returns as it continues to execute its strategic vision.
