DOG ATTACK: POLICE ARREST OWNER, CONFISCATE DOGS, COMMENCE INVESTIGATIONS

Following the unfortunate mauling of a security man to death by three dogs in Pinnock Estate, Ilasan, Lekki on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested the owner of the dogs,

Salisu Mustapha and confiscated the dogs pending the outcome of discreet investigations that have since commenced.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, psc+, mnips assures residents of the estate and the entire people of Lagos State that the ongoing investigations will be brought to a conclusive end and justice will be served as appropriate.

When the dog owner brings power , influence and most importantly money to the table I will hear a diff story like the security guard was too close to the fence of the rich man or story like the security guard die of hunger as a result of T-pain economy the dogs were only checking up on him and trying to wake him up

Investigation needs to be done.

The dogs might be innocent.

No blood , no bite marks from wetin i dey see.

Other dog owners would learn never to let their dogs off their leash...

That was how I was jejely strolling home one very cool Sunday evening ....As oluwa would have it, I had my eyes up ahead only to see two rots suddenly racing towards me...Omo! Chineke!! as I take see myself across someone's fence, I don't know.....The people in the compound saw what was coming for me so they understood why I had to break a certain law .!!....The owner finally raced towards his dogs and had to apologise....If only he knew what would have happened to his dogs if they had committed what they had in mind .....Foreign language wouldn't have saved them......what rubbish!!......You and who dey sign such contract!

Meanwhile, the police should do their job....I don't have strength to start doing investigative work now...........those dogs might actually be innocent cus u won't tell me someone will be attacked by dogs and the person won't scream for people to come to his aid?.......secondly, the owner of the dogs might have sensed what might have happened which resulted to him to have released his dogs to go scout the area for any possible intruder.......As e be say Na estate, I'm pretty sure there might be one or two CCTV cameras installed that might have captured what really happened.....

But someone said the dogs are just sniffing on the man and his cloth is intact.
Let wait for the police findings first.

I still wonder why a human being will be keeping a Dog as pet which we know is a wild animal.

Their is no way these dogs killed that man, no sign of bites or blood, no torn clothes.

Dogs who just mauled a man to death wouldn't be sniffing around like that, they would be very aggressive and territorial, barking and charging at that source of light.

However the owner ought to do better to keep these dogs locked away in his compound, but I posit it that the dogs didn't kill that man..the police should do proper investigation and not blame the innocent dogs while the real culprit will walk away

The dog owner should be meant to pay for every single damage the dog caused. People with dangerous pets should always be held accountable for their pets misdeeds.

I hope this video is not what is used to pass judgement on the dogs? Anyone who owns dogs will know that those dogs don't look agitated, as expected from dogs that probably attacked 'someone' even 30 mins ago. They look very calm.

The scare of a huge dog approaching you to harm you kills people faster than the dogs themselves.

With the video making rounds of sm..no evidence to prove that the dogs actually bite him. Except if proven otherwise by autopsy and physical dog bites on his body.

AND the guy who made the video only sighted when the dogs were parading and the unalive body of the victim nothing to show the victim was mauled by the dogs .
If the dogs actually carried out that attck they wont be smelling the victim
