If we drop the positive comments that followed ETH's appointment most of us go shock at ourselves.

Never again. You must to shock workings at Manchester United. If you like win treble for your country. That one no go bring price of fuel down.

They’ve forgotten that Manchester United is the club talented coaches come to fail. Amorim will pass through the same brutal test too. There’s no need to be overjoyed at his arrival.

Hmm
I’m not certain this is a fair analysis of Berbatov’s time at OT
You didn’t even mention he won a Golden boot

He won it with 21 goals he shared with 2 other players i can't remember now, heavily aided with 5 goals against Blackburn and hatrick at Anfield. My brother, i watched Berbatov. He is a skillful player and a joy to watch at times, but he wasn't actually a successful signing. I know exactly what i am saying. That season 2010/11, he was mostly benched by Chicharito, especially in big matches.

There’s no way someone that won a golden boot is not a successful signing my bro😂
The way you even downplay his 5 Goals(only few PL players have done it) and a hat trick at Anfield of all places…

Wait what? He won the golden boot and you say he was aided by 5 and 3 goals respectively against Blackburn and Liverpool, so what else is supposed to aid a player to winning the golden boot? Shots off targets and Assists? I honestly don’t get what you mean. He literally did what he was supposed to do to win the golden boot which was score goals, 5 in a match, 3 in a match, 1 in a match are all goals, a player scores 21 goals in one match and another scores 1 goal every match in 21 matches played. They are literally the same thing at the end of the day. Na 21 goals them score stop.

He is actually right. Berbatov was very inconsistent in the 2nd half of that season that Ferguson decided to drop him for the champions league final. Yes, EPL golden boot winner was dropped from the entire squad for a champions league final. Half of his goals that season came in three matches against Blackburn (5), Newcastle (3), and I think Liverpool (3) or something. Infact the berbatov signing was not an upgrade. We should have kept Tevez by all means.

Ronaldo is rated for the career he had after he left and not necessarily for his impact here because I won't rate him above Keane, Ferdinand, Evra, Park etc. I won't rate Rashford above Berbatov, Solskjaer and Fletcher...
Ronaldo spent 7 seasons at United. Evra spent 8 seasons. Park did 7 seasons like Ronaldo. Keane did 4 seasons going by the 21st century timeline. What impact did those players have here that trumps Ronaldo?

How exactly are they the same? 21goals in one match gives you 3 points. Scoring 1 goal in every match in 21matches played gives you at least 10 to 20points. You are basically starting every game 1 nil up already. Is 4goals in a single group stage game vs a goal per game in the Round of 16, quarter, semi and final the same
level of impact?

Ronaldo had 1 great season here and 2 very good seasons before he left. He was entering his peak when he left for Madrid compared to those players who played their best football at United. You might not agree but this is the perspective I'm looking at.

That perspective is very wrong. Those great and good season you mentioned trumps whatever best football Evra and Park served at United. You judge players by their career peak at a club. If Rashford stayed at United till 30 then leave to a mid table club would you rate him over Ronaldo because he played his best football at United.

I’m talking about Goals/Individual statistics not Points or league finish/standing. If being top scorer in a club or even the league equates to earning more points for your club or your club winning the league, Then Tottenham would have won the league everytime Harry Kane finished top scorer. So I repeat, a “Player” scoring 21 goals in one match and another “player” scoring 1 goal each every match in 21 matches na the same thing as long as the Top scorer standings is concerned, It will show that both players scored 21 goals all season. You and Capital are saying he scored 5 in one match, 3 in another like it’s some bad thing like he didn’t also score 13 more and ended up with the Golden Boot. Berbatov was never a flop at Man United, If He was then all the strikers we’ve had since then bar RVP have all been complete and utter garbage.

Rashford's best did not come with trophies and was not good enough compared to other players at the time. It's like Kane and his goals for Spurs, even though he was very prolific, people just won't rate him highly enough when he retires but Spurs fans will.

Back to United, Evra was one of the best LBs in the world while he was here same as Ferdinand. Park was the engine room of the team so, I rate them highly based on that. It's like saying Forlan is a United great because of the career he went on to have after leaving the club. Don't get me wrong, Ronaldo had aa great 3 years here but for me, I won't put him above the likes of Rio, Evra, Vidic when ranking our greatest ever players.

Capital went into details about his golden boot award to show you how inconsistent he was and to add context. Please we are adults here so we should argue and comprehend as such. A player that scored 21 goals in one game and went blank for the rest 20 will not be rated on the same level as a player who scored 1 goal each in 21 straight matches in terms of impact and performance. You know this but will continue to argue for the sake of it. Berbatov was just ok and that's it.

This post doesn't even follow your logic. Was Ronaldo not one of the best players in the world at United? Was Ronaldo peak form and performance not greater than Rio, Evra and Park own? Park was not even a guaranteed starter in most of his career at United. You wanted to use longevity until you found out Ronaldo spent similar years as Evra, Park , Vidic etc. No one is talking about his career at Madrid so your Forlan example and career he went on to have after leaving United angle doesn't even follow.

Well, the others spent their peak years here. I don't know why you're missing this point. Ronaldo was good here but we didn't see the best of him here. If Keane, Rooney, Vidic, Evra and the likes left before reaching their peak, I won't rank them so high.

The point is why will you judge Ronaldo by his Madrid performance when we are talking about his impact at United. You are basically saying if Ronaldo had flopped at Madrid, you will rate his performance at United higher. This is like an Aberdeen fan saying Ferguson is not a legend or great at the club because he reached an higher level at United.

Bro i no get to argue. I have no issues with Berbatov. If you follow Man U that period you go know say Berbatov was not a constant starter for us. Chicharito was benching him, even that season check the Champions league run to the final in both 2009 and 2011, he wasnt there. He played 4 seasons for us, he didnt do much.
